I used the Groupon deal ($25 for a women's haircut) to try out Salon 88. I have been hair stylist hopping for a while since I haven't found one that I liked, until now. I would encourage anyone to make an appointment with Felicia. I have slightly wavy hair and it was my first time getting my hair dry-cut. I appreciated that she didn't load up my hair with products like other salons do (I always go home and wash it out immediately) and that she took my low-maintenance request to heart. Too often you find hairstylists who cut hair so that it looks good straightened but not with any natural texture, and seeing as I never straighten my hair, I usually leave salons very disappointed. Coming from NYC didn't know what to expect. I read the reviews and thought it would be decent. Well was I in for a plea sent surprise!!! Felicia was incredible. I took a chance on her cutting my curly hair and it turned out to be the BEST haircut I ever received. I also had her wax my brows and dye them. Another great job!!! Mani and pedicure was stupendous! Clean and beautiful!! My waxing was also phenomenal!! Half a leg. Didn't hurt a bit. My experience overall was one of the best experiences I have had compared to my NYC salons. I cannot say enough good thinks about Felicia and her salon. She gave me the best haircut I'd ever had about 2.5 years ago, and since then grew it out to donate and got it completely botched at the last salon I went to 3 months ago. I went in to see Felicia today and she fixed everything. She gave me exactly what I asked for and told me not to be shy about criticizing what I don't like. She fixed my hair and did exactly what I wanted. She is very easy to talk to, affordable, and I'm so glad her salon is still in Orlando after I hadn't been back in so long. Wow. This is hands down the best salon experience I have ever had! It's obvious that Felicia is an extremely talented stylist and an incredible human being. I am very particular about coloring and cutting my hair, but she totally exceeded my expectations ( I got a cut and blonde color). She is very knowledgeable in her trade, and she informed me of better ways to care for my hair and why. But what struck me even more than her skill was her encouragement and wisdom and genuine joy! I have been going to Salon 88 for the past few months, and now I cannot go anywhere else because Kim goes above and beyond to do my gel manicure and mix and match the exact colors I want which is not easy because I can be indecisive at times. Kim is so kind and patient and she doesn't just simply do my nails, she also takes care of them and keeps them healthy. This salon is the best. Felicia is like my second mom. She's the best hair stylist in Orlando. She's won countless awards for the speed, styling, & overall finish. Anything for hair, she can do it. I have been going to this nail salon for ten years and Felicia has turned it into a real beauty salon. My pedicures are awesome. Very relaxing. My gel nails( new for me) are great. Best decision ever. The highlight however was when Felicia offered to cut my hair. In two minutes I looked like a new woman. I then let her do color.
