I received a call from the salon after my last haircut there, saying that Sabrina was not going to be returning to the salon. It turns out that she got injured, and ended up starting her own business. If you subtract Sabrina and my experiences with her, my experiences with the salon were meh at best. The front desk staff was never really friendly (I got the impression I was bothering them?). It was incredibly frustrating that they didn't take credit cards, and that this wasn't very clear on their website. I went here for Sabrina Tucker. Without her, there wasn't a lot of redeeming aspects of the salon. While waiting for an appointment, I was asked to move so they could take a photo of a different client's hair. It felt weird, and like they should have a designated spot for photos that would require asking waiting clients to move. It honestly made me feel less valuable than the person be photographed (I was asked to move across the room). Also, the more I think about it, the more upset I am that when my partner came in for a men's haircut from Kevin, he left INJURED. That's not OK. I mentioned it to the front desk staff when at my appointment after the last update, and I didn't even get an apology. Not OK. Not OK at all. Jasmine did such a wonderful job waxing my eyebrows! She was also very sweet. First time in. Place looked clean . I called and wanted to see if I could just walk in and they had someone there who could do it for me right then. It worked out perfect . The wax felt nice on my skin she said it was lavender chamomile . Did not hurt at all and she only put aloe on after which was what I wanted. I had a nightmare last experience at another salon, I had work the next day and I couldn't find anyone to fit me in with a color correction. Salon & Spa 530 was able to fit me in with Terri. Everyone and I mean everyone came to me at the door we went over what had happened and they made me feel like I was in good hands. In a span of two hours Terri preformed a miracle and saved my hair and my confidence. I am such a picky person when it comes to my hair. I have gone to the same girl since I was in fourth grade. My husband's job moved us from KY to IL and I was so nervous about finding a new hair person (crazy I know). I was considering flying back to KY occasionally just because I am THAT picky. So, my hair stylist moved and was no longer doing hair in my area! I reached out to Peyton, and she immediately found a way to squeeze me into her schedule. She has totally transformed my hair! I had a 1:45 appointment that I was running late to, which I called and let them know that I was running late, and when I got there at 2:00 they said they couldn't see me. This was my second time getting hair color and now that it's been five months, I was definitely more satisfied with this than my first place. I had an appointment earlier today, and this was my very first time visiting Salon and Spa 530. The salon was also very clean and beautiful. Everyone I talked to was extremely pleasant as well. I got a haircut, all over color, and blow dry from Vanessa. Vanessa did an amazing job! Vanessa had couple suggestions on my haircut, and I'm glad that I took them because my hair turned out beautiful!! For color, I showed her couple pictures so that I can get somewhat similar color. Vanessa was spot on, and I love my new hair color!! I went to Kelly to get a full head of highlights and a cut after I box-dyed my hair brown and wanted to go back. I showed her a few pictures of my hair color pre-brunette and her color-wonder eyes knew the EXACT color to mix. My hair looked the exact same in color and cut as I had it before the brown. I was VERY, VERY happy. The cut actually looked better and the highlight color they use doesn't seem to strip your hair. At other salons, even a touch up on my roots would make my hair shed in large quantities for days afterwards but none with this salon. I will definitely be returning soon for a touch up. Good tip to know is that tips are by cash or check only. Didn't know that before the appointment and luckily had one check on me. read more

Liza has been doing my hair for many years. She's a fantastic stylist. I drive all the way from downtown Chicago because she's the only one who cuts my curly hair properly. In fact, I have so much confidence in her abilities, we flew her to Sarasota to do the bride's hair at a family wedding. Her work was stunning. Her new salon is fantastic. It's a light and airy contemporary space. A refreshing departure from the usual bland suburban salons. During the grand opening, Liza gave us a tour. I went to Salon and Spa 530 for my wedding hair, make-up and nails. Firstly, the salon is amazing and so well kept up! I had Natasha for my up-do (and color/cut a few days before the wedding). She is SO creative and definitely helped pull my hair vision together. I had Diana for my makeup, she did an absolutely amazing job. I chose to use the airbrush makeup which lasted all day and looked so natural. My 2 MOH's and mother also received hair and makeup services for my big day, everyone was very very pleased. I stopped in on a busy Friday, and this place is close to my work; and luckily for me there was a gap of a few minutes and she could take me. It was very nice. I treated myself to a full day of pampering for my birthday. I started with spa services that included a facial that made my face glow for weeks, a massage with Allison which was absolutley perfect, and finished with a cut and color.
