Details.. .. I was in desperate need of a haircut & since…read moremy last stylist moved her salon a little further away than I was willing to drive, I took to Yelp/Google & found Erica. .. I texted her to set up an appointment. A few messages, pictures of my hair, & a small miscommunication later.. we were all set up for me to go in about 3 weeks later since I needed a Saturday appointment. prOs.. .. Erica was extremely sweet & talented. She knew what she was doing & also, took the time to understand what I wanted out of the appointment. .. I was offered a beverage as soon as I walked in & Erica kept checking in throughout the appointment to make sure I didn't need anything else. .. The hair color processing heater thing at this salon was super cool. Instead of the uncomfortably hot giant cap thing that goes over your head, they have this ring shaped thing that sort of just orbits your head - see picture. .. Erica was great to talk to, but was also ok with just working. It's always nice to just be able to relax & enjoy being pampered without talking all the time. .. She paid attention to how I parted my hair & got it right the first time! This usually never happens with stylists as they never part far enough over. .. For the first time in a while, I really LOVED my hair - color/cut/how she finished it. .. She doesn't overly push for you to buy product. I did leave with something, but it's because I asked for the recommendation on purple shampoo & was just too lazy to go buy it at Ulta. final thOughts.. .. Erica is great! I already have another appointment set up with her. I asked her to actually darken up my hair a little so it's more natural for my wedding & it was perfect - see pictures.

Plus the product lines they carry here are top notch. Kevin Murphy has been my absolute favorite, and my hair takes so well to their colors, and the products smell so amazing. They also carry Kerastasse which is phenomenal. Shanni seems to know everything about these so seriously ask her, the product knowledge is absurd. The salon itself is super cute, in an old house. There's a ton of space between stations and it just feels so quiet and relaxing. I love this place.

I went from shoulder blade length hair to angled choppy short hair. I LOVE IT! It is fun and funky and even better than what I was hoping for. Meleesa the Salon is also beautiful, inspiring and spotlessly clean. The whole team of stylists and assistants are kind, fun, talented and work together to make your time in the salon a mini retreat. I usually dread sitting at the salon for hours, but there I was sipping tea, enjoying the art and plants and not wanting my appointment to end. I just recently got my hair cut by Antoinette. From the second I walked in, I could tell she knew…read morewhat she was doing. She was very personable and made me feel extremely comfortable right from the start. I have gotten my hair cut the same way the last few times. Not only did she understand exactly what I wanted, but she improved my usual cut in every way. Her extensive knowledge of hair was apparent as she explained to me what she was doing differently than my old stylist and why this way was going to be better. She was right! I have been getting compliments from everyone over the last few days, and I love my new cut. After cutting my hair, I told her I wanted some product as well and after she asked me a few questions, she was able to give me exactly what I needed to style my hair the way I want. Antoinette has been working in a salon since she was 17, and it shows. She can answer any questions you have, and also interpret any instructions you give her. I have just recently moved to the area and am so excited to have already found someone that knows how to cut my hair just the way I like it. I highly recommend her to anyone!

She listened to what I wanted, went over my options, and actually followed through to achieve the result I wanted, which is a rare find in LA. She is also super sweet and made me feel comfortable the entire time. Found Antionette through a Groupon for a cut and ombre. Decided a week before my appointment that touching up my ombre would just continue to kill my already damaged hair so I called her up and asked if she wouldn't mind just giving me a single process color instead of the ombre and she happily agreed. Day of the appointment, there was a slight mixup with the address on the Groupon. Turns out she moved salons recently. I wasn't too upset because the salon she is at now was half a mile away. She recommended a semi-permanent dye that would fade over time but I wouldn't get that harsh line that you get when your roots start showing. The color was a bit darker than I expected but it was soo shiny! It's been almost two weeks and my hair still looks glossy. Next time I'll ask for a little lighter but no biggie since it's only semi permanent. Also loved my cut, she kept the length I asked for and gave me shorter layers so my hair wasn't so weighed down. Overall, love the cut and color and will definitely be returning here. P.S. She also offers free bang trims to her customers which is a major plus!
