Quite disappointed with my most recent haircut. I have gone to Jessica the last couple of times and had no issues. This week I decided to get a haircut before an important trip, terrible decision! I was happy with my hairstyle when I walked in, the length just needed trimming but the shape is fine. Without even looking at my hairstyle, she asked me to get shampoo'ed so I thought maybe she remembers how I like my hair cut. During the haircut, she asked me if I wanted to cut my bangs and I said just a little bit because I like my bangs long (like almost touching my eyes)...she took the scissors and cut the bangs straight across and short (above my eyebrows after blow drying!). When I went home to wash my hair, blow dry and flat iron (my usual hair routine), I noticed how much of a bowl haircut style bang I had...I wanted to cry. I called her back and asked to see if she can help me fix the bangs and the hair around my face so I don't look so strange...she thinned out the bangs slightly but my right side bang is slightly longer than my left side (like a slant). And even after "fixing", my hair length is still uneven. She told me that I need to tell her I want "curtain bangs" next time...I don't know the technical terms but I am pretty sure my bangs originally were not straight across so why would she cut it that way... Gosh, I wish I never went to get a haircut this week...I look 10 years older due to the bad hairstyle. I have to wait for my hair to sloooowly grow back to fix it...not coming back anymore! read more

Ok.... People have patience with me about this review... I walked in and the ambiance was minimalist, a tad bit dirty, not much advertising on the outside of the building. I drove past it like four times because it's in almost a corner in a small building. Second I went in asked for one color and a cut. The cut was ok... the color I told her it looked reddish brown which I'll take a picture and show you... she says it's golden brown. Hate my hair to this day.... Want no red in my hair whatsoever.... The price was too good to be true...however maybe it is true that you get what you pay for. However the yelp review for this place was high and my hairdresser did come recommended. I highly highly recommend this hair salon for anyone in the OC. I live in norcal now, but still come here for my haircuts. I always go with Jasmine, who is such a skilled stylist! Just call in early and secure a spot to prevent wait times. I show her a picture and every time she cuts it perfect. She checks in to see what I want the longest length of hair will be, and cuts these beautiful layers that always grow out so well. This was first time getting my hair cut here so I was a bit nervous especially since I didn't make an appointment. Even then, I only waiting for about 10-15 minutes before sitting in the chair. Wendy took great care in making sure I was comfortable with my cut and really fixed me up after not having cut my hair in over 6 months. I truly hate writing this review because I've been going to Jasmine for four years, usually once or twice a year. She's a decent hairstylist, but she's often busy and requires appointments, which I always make in advance. Unfortunately, for the second time, my scheduled appointment mysteriously disappeared... This time, I booked over a week in advance and even received a thank you from Jasmine for booking early, something my boyfriend also noted. However, when I arrived at my scheduled time, she looked at me as if she had no idea why I was there. Instead of addressing me directly, she spoke to the receptionist first and then informed me that there was no appointment under my name--all while confirming another customer's appointment for later that day. There was no apology, no attempt to acknowledge the mistake, and no effort to make it right. The only response I received was, "We can book an appointment for next week." After already waiting a week, I wasn't about to go through this again. I've since found another stylist who not only communicates well but also follows up. They may be more expensive, but at least I know my time won't be wasted. read more

I went here for the first time on Wednesday and Julie was amazing. She listened to what I wanted to made sure to have me stand up so I can see how short she will cut in the back. We agreed on the length and she did a fantastic job with the haircut. She layered my hair so as to not make it too thin as I expressed that my hair was thinning out. Before coming in to see Jasmine my hair was not in the best condition. I had 2 different colors in my hair from previous box dye, I also hadn't had a hair cut in like 2 years.
