I walked passed the salon at first and debated whether or not I should get a haircut before an important day tomorrow. So I read some yelp reviews and headed on inside. I was greeted by a woman who began setting me up, but then left the process to another woman. I was a bit confused, but the process was finished and I was led to the chair by Joann. We talked briefly about what I wanted: fresh, clean, preserving my current style, and a maximum of 1.5 inches off. Afterward she led me to have my hair washed. Throughout the entire process she explained which products she was using and why. I thought it was helpful in case I wanted to try to maintain this current look. Since I wanted all the same length, the cut itself was very quick. She framed my face and added styling products for the blow dry. The end result was fantastic! She met my needs and did a great job with the blow dry. I'm sure since my hair is straight and resistant to curl that this blow out won't last long, but I'm super happy with the result! The price was a bit more expensive than a typical mid range shop, but very worth it for the results! Update: I never knew blow dries were that deceiving! Never had a complimentary blowout with the cut before. I know my hair is fine, but I now have a full crown of baby hairs due to breakage most likely from the roughness and pulling from the process...it's so bad I think I might have to get bangs...it looks so wispy and awkward. Anyway I asked to preserve the same style I had before, after I washed out the blowout I almost cried. The ends are blunt, choppy, and uneven. I asked her to make look neat and have a nice shape...which it already did, just some split ends and you might as well as put my hair in a pony tail + cut and it would have turned out the same way. I'm going to call them tomorrow for a revision and change my review based on that. read more

Kari is an excellent stylist and colorist! The first time I came in I wasn't very happy with the results and when I came in to voice my dissatisfaction with the first color the managers immediately took care of me and offered to get it re-done free of charge. Kari was the one that re-colored my hair and she did a fantastic job blending in the harsh lines and taking away the "brassiness" of the the first color. She was great at her job and knew her stuff! I was very satisfied with the result. Definitely going back for Kari. read more

I went in for a last minute haircut. I haven't been this disappointed in a haircut in my life. There are so many uneven spots around the side and back of my head. The line around the ears, side burns, and neck were not cleaned. While blow-drying, my scalp was nearly torched because the stylist had the hairdryer too close to my head. Now, I have to spend extra $ on top of the $35+tip I spent here to fix it. I rarely write reviews, but I felt the need to write one today. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The one and only time I went here 2 years ago I went in just for a simple all over color. My hairdresser said that I should do balayage because it would look good on me. I was thinking about getting it before but with her saying that I decided to change my mind to get balayage instead. ($70-$175+ change). She finished and I didn't have her blow dry it since it would be $30 and I was already way over budget. I go home and blow dry (I live 10 minutes away) and I see the monstrosity on my hair (by the way the hair dresser said she didn't use bleach...ummm). I go back crying and complain. Everyone in that store even the manager was appalled. They had a NEW hair dresser dye my hair the way I initially wanted (chocolate brown) she blow dried it for me saying it wouldn't cost a thing. Then I went to ask for a refund from the manager because my hair was so RIDICULOUS the first time and now my hair felt damaged because I had it dyed twice in one day! The manager refused said that since my hair was long the fix added up to the same price. She said $70 for color $30 for extra tube and $30 for blow dry. I said you HAD to fix my hair because of what your "professional" did and the blow dry was free. The argument continued and she ended up giving me this leave in keratin treatment (which was nice but also looked like it was open before...???) and I went on my way. Now 2 years later (the chocolate dye of course has fallen out) my hair is still that ORANGE YELLOW color underneath and the color of my hair has never been the same even after I chopped a bunch of it off. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT COME HERE. If any management or corporate wants to reach out that would be great because this was the worse thing I've ever done to my hair. read more

Aleka at Salon Cielo, is one of best stylists I have ever had. And I have had my hair cut by Horst Rechelbacher, the founder of Aveda. Yup, I have some years in me. I am a male with Longer hair, and Aleka, has her way of doing it, but she also listens to what I want and does it! Finding a great Hairstylist is very hard! I like Salon Cielo a lot. It is super convenient with mall hours and has a nice look and feel inside. Very relaxing. I went to Gregory this morning for a haircut. He is FANTASTIC. We've been looking for a competent hair colorist in the Palm Beaches for a long time. There are plenty in Washington -- among others, at Saks, even in the salon in our building in Bethesda, MD. But here, we're having a terrible time finding someone just competent to color hair. They leave light roots on white hair, they use two different colors on one head, they don't know how long to leave the dye or what dye to use to match the color, and they don't seem to know what a good job looks like. We've tried several places, including Regis at Boynton and Salon Cielo on PGA. One seemed overconfident to the point of psychosis (probably just wanted the money) and did a terrible job. The other did a decent, careful job the first time, but did a really half-baked job the 2nd visit, resulting in another trip up there and a sloppy, mindless, lazy fix-it visit ending in two noticeably different colors of hair. Coloring takes intelligence and skill, plus good enough character to bother to do it right, not to skip areas of hair or put a different color dye on some hair. And a decent person would have acknowledged the fault, not been so cavalier about it. For color, I strongly advise people not to go to either of these places. Does anyone know a competent colorist around the Palm Beaches. We pay as much as at Saks in Maryland, a more expensive area with better colorists, but we get Hair Cuttery quality service here. read more

Scheduled a last minute appointment while in town on business. The staff had to flex to accommodate me as an end of day appointment and did so with grace. I ended up getting a cut by Avi, I believe he is the manager of that location... what i know for sure is that he is a really great guy and he gave me an amazing cut. Its obvious that he really knows what he is doing and took the time to understand what I liked and didn't about previous cuts elsewhere and to show me a few things on how to style my hair, etc. All this as the mall was closing around us... impressive when you consider I'm an "out of towner" and Avi knew that. Wonderful service, a great cut and a really cool guy - Avi. I recommend giving Cielo a try and will certainly be back when I'm back in town. I've already scheduled my next cut! read more

I actually had a great experience at Salon Cielo in Palm Beach Gardens until the checkout. My mom and I went to get our hair cut as a birthday present for me from her. Aleka did an amazing job on both of us. We had two coupons to use for our services. When it came time to check out, the man who rung us up used only one and the cheapest one at that. When I asked him about it, instead of saying "I'm sorry, let me fix that for you", he said, "I used that coupon (the cheapest one) because it was on top (which it wasn't). Never corrected the situation. We were there for two hours WITH NO ONE ELSE IN THE SALON. You would think for how slow they were, they would treat the customers they have a bit nicer. Too bad too, because Aleka was great and we were having a great time until this man ruined it. Why give out coupons if you're not going to let customers use them? read more

I admit I am a guy that does not have a ton of hair to work with, and I do not spend a great deal of time grooming, but I am outdoors a lot, and prefer not to look like Barney Fife, after a date with Thelma Lou. So every now and then, I need a" fixin up". I tend to be loyal to my hairstylist, and like to find one who knows me by name. I wondered in here randomly, with no appointment, and was set up with Julia. I am very pleased I did. I have been with her for about a year now and I have never been disappointed. Julia takes her time with you, and it is very important to her that you are pleased with your cut. She is from Russia and it is very interesting to talk with her. She is very kind and pleasant. For a men's haircut it is 25 dollars. Still something I am trying to get used to but in market value this is a good deal. read more

DON'T GO THERE!!! WHAT A DISASTER!!! I'm the husband, but my wife went to this so-called salon, brought her hair formula, only to spend two full days there as the 'hairstylist' [quotes used intentionally] ruined her hair, ruined two days and created complete upset and turmoil in our household. The 'hairstylist' knew best, did not follow the color formula my wife has used for years and experimented creating an orange blob and total disaster. Tried a second time... strike two... How can these people even think to be in business?... And if that's not enough, the 'tranquility' of the salon setting was upset repeatedly by other clients coming in to complain... Eeek!
