A wonderful spot to get your nails and mani-pedi experience. My bestie Kevin and I were in Menlo Park for an event and we did come here prior to the Sunday show. They were open on Sunday, clean and had parking accommodating the salon. Tina and Kim were my tag team nail technicians and they worked hard to make sure we were welcomed, comfortable and performed excellent service. My nail tech recently retired and I was so pleased to discover this spot. It's worth coming down to the South Bay, just for the salon visit. They do an incredible job. I first came in and got a French tip and was charged $75. Was happy not only with pricing but also bc she was fast. I went in, expecting to do the same thing except I wanted little dots. It took less than 2 minutes to do and I respect the craft so I do not like to complain but I was charged $95 for this, only difference was the dots... I paid an additional $20 for dots.. now I understand that there is a service charge for add ons but $20 is crazy... I'm really disappointed bc not only do I always tip more than 20% (I tipped her $20 both times) but I also left a positive review! To then feel like I'm being overcharged for something so extremely simple. This is how to loose a client bc I will not be returning. While I leave a lower review, I do acknowledge that the man who answers the call is always kind and accommodating and remembers peoples names. I have had pedicures at different salons over the years. The "Signature" pedicure at this salon was by far the best experience I have ever had! And very reasonable price for such excellent service. Helen gave me the best removal of my severe callouses. She massaged my lower legs with an exfoliating-like solution followed by lotion-wonderful massage. She then put each foot in a plastic bag with a red solution for several minutes while she applied warm moist towels to my legs. So, my normally calloused feet were now soft and smooth. She was thorough with the coloring using several layers. I bet this deluxe treatment would cost much more at other salons. This was only $55!! I am definitely returning and will tell my friends, too. read more

My best nail experience so far! I'm new to the area and have been trying different salons that can do builder gel and cute designs. My friend found this one and booked us a same day appointment. The salon is very peaceful and tidy. I came in with a pic of what I wanted (a cute summer strawberry design) and they did it perfectly. I already had builder gel on so I wanted a fill and some shaping. Helen did the smoothest and most even manicure I've ever had. She was even super kind to move my hands in an out of the UV light during the first few seconds of curing for my comfort so it didnt get too hot on my nail bed. I was very impressed with the variety of colors they had and she matched what I wanted perfectly. She worked with me to find the right nude base for the design I wanted that didn't clash with my skin tone or show my nail bed through it. Sam (?) did my nail art and she was very precise, she created the little strawberries and flowers flawlessly, which I was extra impressed by as I have narrow nail beds. I made an appointment for a gel manicure color change & a regular pedicure at 1245pm and ran late but arrived a little after 1pm. When I arrived, the place was completely empty and I actually had to say "hello?? Hello" until I saw an older lady in the back pop out. There was 2 people working and they were setting up for pedicure & manicure so I was thinking "Yay great! Efficiency" Then another customer walked in requesting for a mani/pedi so it was one on one by then which was fine by me. The main issue I had was when the owner lady (Kim?) arrived and she came to help but she was upselling dipped nails so much! I told her I wanted a gel manicure like I initially stated to her disappointment. She manged to convince the second customer to do dip nails so she skipped me and worked on her instead. The worker who was doing my pedicure reminded her I was there first and had an appointment but she disregarded that statement which was pretty frustrating (they were speaking in Vietnamese and they didn't know I could understand them) I finally spoke up saying that I had to leave by 2pm for work and if it can't be done then I'll just do the pedicure but Kim assured by she'll get it done by 2pm. Unfortunately, this was not the case.. I left at 215pm even with less coats of gel polish than usual. I regret not putting all the tip money for my pedicurist who was honest and did a great job on my pedicure. Overall, the quality of the work here is good but the questionable ethics along with the upselling is too big of a turnoff for me to ever return. read more

MADE an APPOINTMENT and no wait! My spa session fixed some decades-long toenail issues in a few minutes, and now feel like I have a new set of toes to walk with. Every male should go every 3-5 years, to get a tune-up on their feet, because DIY toenail care really does not do an adequate job. This spa does an excellent job for a very reasonable price. 2/11/23- My future go-to salon! I had such a great experience with Tony, Kim, and Hana. Tony and Kim run the store together and Hana did a wonderful job as my nail technician. As a chronic nail biter, getting dip with tips was a game-changer. I had a poor experience with my first-ever manicure at a nearby salon but I'm glad I found this location! // Dip (with tips) nails I hadn't heard about dipped nails with tips (nail extensions) until recently. If you're a mani beginner like I am, they will glue nail extensions on and add your preferred color. No UV light is needed for the drying process! Hana did a great job shaping my nails and the dipping process was very clean. She made sure my nails were symmetrical on both hands. The color I originally wanted (peach/nude) didn't turn out exactly alike but I was still very pleased with the natural pearl color. Next time, instead of looking at their swatch sets, I would recommend going to the wall of dips/colors and picking one out directly. The swatches don't completely match the colors they do have! Also, for those who have never done tips, it does take a while to get used to the length you choose to add. The process also took closer to 2 hours but they are so thorough. // Store ambience and experience Tony is a wonderful manager! He has so much experience and was very transparent and honest with what worked best for me. If you're doing tips, he takes a look at your nails and determines what strength tips would be the most natural while also trying to protect the integrity of your nail. I have very frail nails so he recommended a stronger tip for protection. He is an extremely pleasant gentleman and thoroughly enjoys interacting with his customers. Him and Kim both pour a lot of dedication into running a quality nail salon. Great service, clean environment, and relaxing atmosphere! // Price and value I paid $55 for dipped nails with tip, which I felt was reasonable. I bite my nails and they are usually very short, stubby, and chipped. I had given up on achieving elegant, natural-looking nails but getting tips was a big advantage for me. Didn't like this place at all. They were pushy about upselling my pedicure saying that I wouldn't get any heel exfoliation if i didn't upgrade (that should be standard in a pedicure). My regular salon was booked solid, so I called to specially request "builder gel". I was assured that yes they do this. I came for my appointment (the salon was empty). The technician did everything she could to talk me into dip or acrylic. We went round and round and then when I finally had to almost be rude and was two seconds from walking out she reluctantly agreed to use builder gel. Mistake. I should have left. She "zinged" my nails with the drill 3 or 4 times- that intense pain that shoots through you like electricity. My nails turned out a bit lumpy, a few air bubbles and lost their shine in one day. Had a friend in town that I wanted to treat to a mani/pedi, and after our service and $300 including tip in cash, they said "Next time you get better manicure." I had high hopes for Signature Nail Spa, but my experience fell short of expectations. We arrived early for our 12:30 appointment, but were not taken until 30 minutes later, and I had to wait another 20 minutes while my friend was worked on. The nail services took much longer than anticipated--we were quoted 40 minutes, but it stretched to 2.5 hours. Both my friend and I ended up with glue on our hands, which was uncomfortable during the curing process. I noticed some mistakes on my nails, but despite pointing them out, they weren't addressed, and the staff seemed a bit dismissive. Additionally, we were charged $10 more than the prices listed on their website, plus a $5 fee for a "design" that was just a double French tip. We had chosen this salon for its reasonable prices, so that was disappointing. They also frequently suggested services we hadn't booked, which felt a bit pushy. To add to the discomfort, the nail tech dug their nails into my skin at times. I found glue under my nails afterward, which indicated a rushed job. I've been going to this place for over 5 years. However the last few times that I've been here, I've been very disappointed with the quality of work. Everyone who works here is very kind and polite. However the work quality is lacking! The massage feels like somebody is just rubbing up and down your legs with oil, without an ounce of pressure. Was looking for a decent clean place to get a pedicure. Walked into Ann's and loved their work. Kieu gave me the best pedicure. She took her time on my feet and gave a wonderful message. I had a foot injury back in the day so my right toes are really ugly. Kieu did a wonderful job making my feet look normal again. Very happy. She was super sweet and even helped me find a nail polish. I will def be back again! My feet feel super soft and relaxed. Very clean place and very comfortable. They have liners on the tubs and use tools fresh out of a package, so you know it's clean.
