I have been going to salon divina since November 2021 and never have been disappointed. Melissa is the greatest stylist out there. She has literally made all of my hair visions come true. In November I got a grey balayage done and it was beautiful. Perfect for the winter season. In May I really wanted to go lighter for the summer. I showed her reference photos and she made it happen. I am not really a waking up early person but needed a haircut bad! My stylist was Hannah who was by far my favorite stylist! For it being 8am she was great at small talk I was still tired but she kept me laughing and was able to be engaged with me a customer and my hair! Just lost a customer. I came into the salon opened minded, Melissa did my hair. I wanted to go blonde and ended up coming out with like honey hair. Also, she went ahead and styled my hair how she thought it would look best in a "bob cut" never did she ask me how I would like my hair. This was my first time ever getting professional lightening & color done and I was SO happy with the results. Ever since I started growing out my hair I was too afraid to do my usual bleaching at home, so I set up a consultation with Melissa and eventually an appointment and I've never had a better blonde in my life. Unfortunately, my previous hair stylist, Hannah, left the salon. The salon owner needs to work on price transparency. I ended up being upwards of $400 for a color I wasn't happy with. The hair stylist/salon owner had 3 clients at once. She left bleach on my hair and it developed quickly. An assistant checked on my hair and the bleach and the highlights were almost white. I have dark brown hair. I asked for natural and low maintenance highlights. I think it's important check in on clients bleach frequently to see how it's developing. She said the color of my hair lifted so quickly. All the more reason to check in on a client's hair if you aren't familiar with how their hair responds to bleach. Tips: don't just rely on an assistant to check bleach. If you're charging that much, you- the stylist, need to check in. Say prices up front before beginning the service. She gives good hair cuts so 3 stars for that. Needs to improve communication and transparency with clients. read more
