I went to Salon Edera last night for the first time, and I left feeling like a million bucks! The color, cut and service I received was all high quality. I got the cut and color I wanted, and Lida only uses products that are vegan. Lida is very knowledgeable. I have curly hair and she knows how to cut my hair to maximize the curls. She took additional classes to specialize in curly hair. The heating processor that she uses makes my hair color last longer than the regular heating process. Lida is a wealth of knowledgeable. She gives me great tips on what products to use. Salon Edera is a cozy little salon in Encinitas off the 101. The sisters that own and work there are extremely cheerful and helpful. It was a pleasant surprise for me to have a stylist that has the same kind of hair as mine. The cut was exactly what I wanted and helps greatly on the voluminous look I am trying to achieve. There was confusion as to the gift certificate that I received, which brought me to the salon in the first place. Surprisingly, they ungrudgingly honored the gift certificate to my benefit regardless of the big confusion. I have only been here once and it was because i bought one of those spa package things that gets you a cut and color at a discount. I was a little disappointed because it didn't specify on the certificate exactly how many foils you got for a highlight and the cut and color were supposed to be two separate visits. I explained to them my dilemma with making time to come back twice and they compromised. I ended up paying 50% for the extra foils because i have so much hair but almost 3 hours later my hair looked great. color is awesome and the cut came out great. The ladies that run it are sisters and are very nice. I bought some shampoo from them that I had never heard of called Bonacure and it works great. Prices are average for what a cut and color runs. they do mani/pedis too but i like to keep those cheap :) Give them a try! read more

Lida is amazing! Makes everyone in the room feel special through multitasking and great communication. I went in for a trim and came out with the best haircut I've ever had. Most people will cut my hair too short, because it's curly and looks different when it's wet. She knew exactly what she was doing and asked questions throughout to make sure I was happy with how things were looking. Also, offered me a week of deciding if I wanted anything different from it. Wonderful salon owned by a fabulous woman. I found Lida via Yelp and when I called, she couldn't have been more kind and patient. I had been looking for a new salon and it's such a crap shoot out there. I went in a week or so later for my appt and met Lida. Salon is a little hard to find but once you know it you know it. Lida took all the time needed to explain and/or provide answers through our consultation portion of our appt. Then she got to work, we enjoyed wonderful and very connected conversation, and the result was hair color that was just what I wanted. She also good offered discounts for new customers and for referrals. I look forward to seeing Lida again and often since my hair grows fast and I need new color every 4 wks. read more

Absolutely my favorite salon. I purchased a mind and body partnership coupon and have been going to her since. I have been to numerous salons from North county all the way to Chula Vista. I even went to a very upscale salon in central san diego and was not satisfied with my hair. I have been going to Lida for over two years now and just really love what she does for my hair. She has the best products for my hair and I leave the salon with happy hair. This is quite possibly the cutest salon I have ever visited. It is gorgeous. I have been desperately searching for a new salon, and found Salon Edera through the Mind Body Partnership. They offer an excellent deal for first time clients, and for good reason...I'm hooked! Two sisters own and operate the salon, and you kind of feel like you have your aunt or YOUR sister doing your hair. I left with one of my favorite haircuts that I've ever had. I have been wanting to grow my hair long and everyone else just clips, chops and thins it off so that in the 2 years since she last cut my hair it's hardly grown an inch. Lida is a great colorist and great person. She cares very much about making sure your hair stays healthy with any treatments you receive. I 've had multiple colorings, highlights and lowlights including black, brown, blonde and red and she always makes sure I am satisfied even if it takes longer than expected. I also have many allergies and sensitivities to gluten and certain chemicals. She makes sure everything she uses on me is cleared by me first which I appreciate, and she is more than accommodating to my need for fresh air, even allows my dogs when I have to bring them. She is on the conservative side because she wants you to leave happy, so you may have to nudge her a bit if you are feeling experimental with a crazy new cut or color, but she will do it and do it beautifully and safely. Also her salon is beautiful and peaceful, not full of hairspray or fumes. Highly recommended especially if you're difficult like myself LOL read more

The salon is very cute. Taste in decoration is awesome! I received a mind body partnerships certificate and sad to say I won't even return for my second visit. When booking my appointment the girl was very unaccommodating about the date and time leaving me very limited space in my schedule before my vacation. She cancels my apt 30 minutes prior due to a family emergency and then gave me two times she was available, both times conflicting with my schedule. During the booking admitted she didn't even remember who I was! I see now why the certificates were not working for her and clients weren't returning! I will not even be returning for my visit B that I got as a gift. read more

Lida, the owner of this salon is wonderful. I have been through many stylists over the years and I finally found someone I love. I have very difficult hair and Lida makes me feel fabulous. She has a great eye, and always gives excellent suggestions of ways she would color and/or cut my hair. I find this helpful since I never know what to do with my hair. She has a great eye for color and shape, she is kind and sweet, and she has a great schedule. I have never had her turn me down for a time I needed to come in. I loved this little European styled salon in Encinitas. I found their service through Mind Body Partnerships, which let me choose 4 services for $99. My haircut AND my highlight with this salon counted as 1 of those 4 choices! I met both of the sisters that run this salon and instantly fell in love with both of them. They were very inviting and warm to me even though it was the first time we met. I loved the products that they used, and really enjoyed the deep conditioning treatment that I received. I wanted a little bit of an extreme haircut, and she executed it perfectly. I get nervous going to new hair dressers, but I was very impressed with my end result here. If you are in need of a haircut and color in Encinitas, I really recommend going to this sweet hole in the wall!
