Horrible cut by Laura. I just wanted a trim with some more layers and she cut the front so short it's almost squared. It looked gorgeous when I walked out because she blew it out and curled it so beautifully that I could not tell how chopped it was in the front. I hate to call and complain to places but I will never go back there, not even to fix it. Very disappointed that I'll be wearing my hair up until it grows out. read more

I went to this salon for the first time just a couple days ago. I have a short asymmetrical bob that I have been growing out and haven't been able to make it to my regular stylist. Well I had decided one morning getting ready for work that I could give myself a quick trim just in the front and add some layers to take out the bulk on the side--- so I decided manicure scissors would be the cutting tool of choice over my trusty box cutter. (I mean Bumble and Bumble used razors on me and it came out great) Anyways, I ended up with chunks cut out of the sides of my hair and uneven at that. The salon was able to hook me up with Erin as I advised I had very thick, naturally curly, color and keratin treated hair with now chunks missing on the sides. (I did the vertical scissors thing and everything... Probably I should have watched a youtube, but I was feeling confident that morning at 5am with my manicure scissors :) Well Erin quickly and expertly blended and trimmed my hair AND preserved the length I'd grown. She is the best and I will continue going to her in the future. I had a great experience from the first phone call to reception, with Lara? doing my shampoo and Erin who is amazing but did make me promise not to cut my own hair with any kind of sharp objects in the future :) read more

I got my haircut done yesterday by Grace. She was so kind and did a great job cutting my hair with the style I wanted. It was my first time there and it seemed like a family friendly place with kids there too. When I go back there I will definitely ask for Grace to cut my hair again! read more

i spent 15-20 minutes to make an appt for my daughters hair to be colored to ensure she could get what she wanted 7hours and $400 later her hair is insanely damaged (this is someone with thick and very healthy hair previously) and the color is faded after 1 cold wash. not to mention the initial color is not want she wanted anyway! I have to go somewhere else and pay to get it dyed black to cover this up. horrible. only good part was receptionist (kristen ?), she was so patient, helpful, and professional. so thank you for that at least. refund should have been issued for this mess. read more

When I arrived for my 10:00 am appt. today, my second time at this salon, the owner seemed panicked a bit at the front desk as it suddenly got busy ..such problems! Myself and a younger client came in the same time. The owner said to the staff "you get her and I'll get the dinosaur" referring to me. Do the men at his salon really think new clients don't hear the names you use to refer to them!? Get out of your Syosset LI bubble! Went to Jenny for hair cut.It was my first time.She was amazing.I love her hair styling.Friendly staff and good salon.

My 19 year old daughter went to Salon Entourage with a picture of the color she wanted done to her healthy curly long hair. They fried her hair and it looked nothing like the photo she showed them. Not even close. She went back to them to show the damage they did to her hair and they tried again. Still messed up, did not correct color or damage. Went a third time and spoke to owner David (refused to give his full name) to get a refund. He stated no refund and that somehow after 2 tries, it was my daughter's fault they ruined her hair. They literally ripped my eyelashes out. The woman assured me they would naturally fall out after a week and to just apply a small amount of eye makeup remover. But the woman put SO much of this thick glue that it ripped my real lashes out. Now, my eyes are completely swollen and lashes are messed up. please avoid this place at all costs! read more

I really wanted to love this salon, it has a lot of positives. It's spacious, they offer many services. They have very relaxing chairs and sinks where you can really relax. I gave this salon many chances, each time I went for color I was never given a robe. Just a towel and well this time the color stained my shirt. I was not happy about it and they tried to clean it. They denied that every time I've been there I have never been given proper robe or plastic to put around me. One of the stylists there also physically abused me while drying my hair by repeatedly smashing my head. I asked her to stop and she kept on going. I asked them to play the surveillance footage but they Never did. Melissa the stylist denied it and they just told me we weren't a good match. I am sorry but no one deserves to be punched in the head over and over. I took some time to write this because they said they would make it right. The owner David told me that he would offer me $25 dollar credit toward my shirt. And Carolyn said it was my fault for wearing an expensive shirt to a hair salon. But they never properly gave me a gown. I get that they are busy and I'm small potatoes to them. It's a shame they really didn't try to make it right with me. And I deeply regret not filing a police report against Melissa that day. I had a major headache the rest of the day and felt very out of it from my head being hit so hard. read more

Decor is modern, clean and attractive. Additionally, the salon offers good prices. I went for blonde highlights. N.B.: My hair is very dark and I like very blonde highlights. I have also been getting highlights for 10+ years. The receptionist was very nice as was Lis, who blew out my hair. In fact, Lis was great. She gave me a nice blow out, exactly what I asked for, and was a real pleasure to talk to. As for the rest of the staff, I felt like I was back roaming the halls of Plainview High School surrounded by Jewish American Princesses. They all seemed more into each other than anyone else and all lounged around the salon as if it were a hang out, divulging in their asinine conversations. Jess did my color. She seemed okay personality wise, not too talkative with me but not as immature as the other girls. I told her what I had wanted and she went to work. She also offered me a complimentary blow out (with Lis) which was very nice. After my highlights were ready to be washed out, a glaze and root lift were to follow. Jess left this in the hands of the hair washer. The hair washer only did the glaze and told me I was ready to go. I asked her if the root lift was done also. She told me yes. After my blowout, I noticed that although the color looked nice, my roots were extremely prominent. In fact it did not even look (aside from different blonde color) I had highlights done. I approached Jess who coldly told me that it was because I did not get the root lift. I said I would come back for it and left annoyed that the stupid hair washer was that unknowledgable about her peabrain responsibilities. All the following week, I examined my hair. I did need the root touch up but that was only part of the problem. The highlights did not go anywhere near my roots. I called up Entourage and made an appointment to come back that weekend for the lift and to talk about the color with Jess. I explained to Jess that in all my years highlighting, I never had such rootage. I told her it was because the highlights were too far from the roots. She opposed everything I said making me feel dumb and insisted it was not that and that if I did the root lift, it would help. I knew fighting with her was fruitless so I let her (and when I mean her, I mean the hair washer - luckily a different one) do the root touch up and then I left. NEVER TO RETURN AGAIN. Only giving two stars because I liked Lis and the receptionist so much. read more

This place came highly recommended to me. So i went in with high hopes. First off i was not thrilled that i had to go to two separate people for color and cut. I think that's a little ridiculous i would of much preferred someone to do my hair from start to finish. Secondly i asked for a certain color and it looks better than my previous color i had from another salon, but i can't even notice any of the highlights. It's extremely too subtle for my liking. Lastly, it was very expensive. I will say the atmosphere was nice (although the WiFi kept cutting out i like to work on my phone since it takes hours to do my hair) but the hair colorists were not warm and i felt rushed. Salon Entourage is very nice and has been recently expanded. The best part about it is Nancy. She is amazing! I go to her for cut and color and she is fantastic. My mother and I followed her from her previous Salon to Entourage and all I can say is that they were very smart to hire her. She listens to what you want and is extremely talented and knowledgeable about hair and new trends. She is doing Ombre for me right now and it looks great. Besides being a top notch stylist she is also very sweet and fun to talk to. You would be smart to go to Nancy.. she will make you look fabulous! read more

Salon entourage went out of there way to look into halo couture hair extensions I wanted for my upcoming wedding. I asked David the owner about it and he was not familiar with it but said he would look into and get back to me. He sure did and within a week he had the swatch samples and I few halos in his salon. They worked with me to make sure the color matched my hair because I was very worried that it wouldn't. David the owner ensured me that if I was not happy or feel it didn't match he would highlight it or get me one that was a better match to my hair. I wore it to my wedding last night and everyone could not believe that I had extensions in because the color blended right in and looked amazing. I've been using Amanda for my color now for around 10 years. I've lived in NYC for the past 5 years and after many (costly) trial and errors at NYC salons have come to terms with the fact that I need to drive an hour back to Syosset to have her do my color. She is simply THE BEST. No matter if I want my hair darker, blonder, richer, etc. she knows exactly what to do. My mom has also been using her for 10+ years and she also happens to be a pleasure. Always sweet and in in a good mood! I've had the same issue with cut at salons in NYC and now ONLY use Yvonne for cut. She actually listens to what I want and doesn't go scissor happy. She is also my go-to person for any updo's or styling for events (like my wedding reception a couple of weeks ago). David the owner and the rest of the staff has never been anything but nice to me. Offering free blowouts after I've gotten my hair dyed on several occasions. Also if you request a junior stylist fora blow out it's only $25. I highly recommend this place! read more

Beware! It's a 'hit and miss' place, that really missed with me on my last visit! And they hide haircutting mistakes with good styling. My first experience was excellent! I would have given them a 4-star. Meghan did a wonderful job on my hair and finally gave me the cut I'd been trying to get from other stylists for years, but for some random reason couldnt. And while I wasnt happy with the bangs, and I did have to go back for a second visit to get part of the cut fixed, I was very pleased overall. My second visit was a very different story! I'd give it a 1-star. It was awful! She gave me an entirely different cut and hacked off way too much of my hair, giving me one of the most unattractive, uncomplimentary and uneven haricuts I've ever had. I was horrified, very upset and it was hard to keep myself from bursting into tears. I asked for the same cut as last time, I asked if she had notes written down about what she had done last time (and she said yes), I described what I wanted with proper haircutting languaging, I brought in pictures of me with the cut she gave last time and I also brought in the pictures we used as a guide. All the bases were covered. And yet I still wound up with a completely different cut that was very unflattering to my face shape, many inches shorter than it was supposed to be. I asked for it to be the same as last time- a severely angled bob that ends 'below the jawline/chin'- and the longest pieces of the bob barely even reached my jaw. And with the layers she put in it (there shouldnt have been any layers put in it), it made the cut fall into a parallel bob at my cheekbone. It looked like one of those freaky '60's wigs where the hair curls in at the cheeks. (As a point of reference, during ther olympic opening ceremonies, the commentators actually stopped to comment on the dreadful '60's wigs that some of the performers were wearing. That wig is almost the same as the cut she gave me! And globally, it is regarded as horrendous!) And forget the bangs- I was given short babydoll, face-framing bangs, instead of the sexy, angled sweep to the side bangs I'd asked for. I had to go back twice to get it fixed. She did nothing, but apologize. The 2nd time she referred me to the owner, David. I was hopeful, but when I got there he looked annoyed that I'd come in, and barely spoke to me. He just started cutting and fixing all these other problem areas- things I didnt even know were there. And then there was no time to fix the parts that I could see were wrong. He didnt fix the one side to make it the same length, he wouldnt lighten up the sides, so I have these chunks of hair sticking out and I had to come up with a way to fix the bangs on my own. It felt like it was my job to kiss his butt, and make sure he was okay, instead of him making sure I was satisfied. He didnt perk up and smile, until after I said, "I'm not mad at her, I dont have it out for her, I just want my hair to be fixed." To which he smiled and said, "Good." It would have been nice if he said, 'I value you as a client and I dont want to lose your business. I'm not letting you out of this chair, until we take care of all the problem areas and get you as close to the haircut/ bangs you had asked for and with a cut you can live with and not be upset by. But I was whisked in and whisked out. And 15 minutes later when I arrived home, I realized the same mistakes/problems were still there and hadnt been addressed. While they didnt charge me for the 'fix visits,' and the owner wouldnt accept my tip, they didnt offer me a discount, future rebate, or anything to make up for the massive screw-up and for my having to walk around with this very unflattering cut for months. I cant do anything with it, except pull it back in a headband and it looks like a footbal helmut. It's been nearly 8 weeks and the cut just keeps getting worse. I wish I could give them another chance, but the way I was treated, I dont think I can. Not without an apology and a future discount coupon for my next cut. I dont think she was thorough, or crosschecked her work, and I think they hide hair cutting mistakes with good styling! read more

Coming from Miami I was looking for a modern youthful salon and I really enjoyed how the atmosphere was here. The girls are friendly and all seemed nice. From the moment I make an appointment its an absolute pleasure working with everyone I come in contact with there. Allison the receptionist is a doll (as are the other receptionists). Whether I call for an appt or make it in house I have an email confirming it within minutes. Then the day before I also get a confirmation reminding me............luv it. It's a beautiful Salon.Very open and spacious. I walk in and I am always greeted by some friendly face. I am always taken on time. The girls that wash your hair are friendly and courteous. And when they are done I am always offered a cold drink!! Megan cuts my hair. She is sweet, warm, friendly and gives me a fabulous haircut. Everything went smoothly and, for the first time in my life, I finally walked out of a salon confidently and 100% pleased with the cut. I've been coming here since they openned up, and wouldn't ever consider going elsewhere. Before going there, I had been to plenty of other salons in the area, and no one comes even close to them. I moved to the city about 3 years ago and still make my way back every time I need a haircut. The front desk staff is super friendly/accommodating, to say the least, and every one of the girls who washes hair there is an absolute sweetheart. Jen has been cutting my hair ever since I have been going there, and I have never walked out with a bad haircut. Actually I haven't even walked out with a decent haircut, every single one is outstanding. She's given me all sorts of haircuts (long/short/ you name it) and my hair always comes out perfect. I am constantly getting complimented and asked who does my hair, so you would be in very good hands if you ever went to her. I did get a haircut from David once when I was in desperate need and Jen was out of town, and was very happy with that haircut as well. CAUTION!! I've been going here for about a year now and as everyone knows it's hard to find a good salon on LI. I decided to try this salon out, recommended by a friend, which turned out to be a BIG mistake! I gave this salon so many chances to fix their mistakes with my hair but with their snooty LI attitudes that's not about to change. I've been getting my hair cut and colored here and each time the color wasn't right and the cut was only mediocre to what I wanted. The last time I went the color I specifically described to the colorist here took her own turn and colored my hair the total opposite of what I described and from the pictures I showed her. My cut was also choppy and unmatched(I wanted layers) I was clearly disappointed and they didn't even offer a refund!! NEVER going back and I warn to anyone who is looking for a permanent salon, this is not for you. Their only good for blow outs, make up and sometimes cut. read more
