[[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone at the salon seemed very kind and welcoming, and my stylist was polite throughout[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] -- this review is just based on my personal experience. I came in asking for a 90s-inspired bixie/short shag, but ended up with a pretty blunt (and a bit uneven) bob -- the complete opposite of what I wanted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I tried to tell my stylist what I wanted throughout the cut, but it seemed as though we just weren't on the same page at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He kept making interesting comments and saying things like "Well, I've never done that before," while he was cutting my hair which made me feel like he didn't know what he was doing. I left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable with the cut. Unfortunately, I had to book an appointment elsewhere to get it corrected, further increasing the cost of the cut. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A few days later, the stylist did reach out to check in, which I appreciated, but after I shared my honest (and polite) feedback, I never received a response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, just a really frustrating experience, despite the friendly atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I trusted this salon based on the reviews, and the fact that they consider themselves an "alternative salon" but they did not deliver. Tastefully done with an extra dose of the WOW factor... Obviously, the owner knows his clientele. left this, "premiere, high quality" salon looking worse than if I just left a cosmetology school with a first time student and paid "high quality" prices. Was covered in hair dye and water, hair was damp and full of frizz and knots. The stylist didn't even know how to use a round brush and a blow dry simultaneously and was attempting to pull apart tangles with her fingers. I had to wear a headband to work the rest of the week because it was so bad. I tried to reach out to the salon the next morning over this experience, they said they would take care of it and then I never heard back. I really wanted to like this place but it's just not a high-end salon, yet they charge if they were. read more

Wow! Where do I begin? Salon KREED is a very upscale salon. Every time I go there I am pampered and catered to and as a Mom of four kiddos, it is nice to be pampered every once in a while. Products are exceptional. Ones you can't find anywhere. Greg, the owner, really seems to stress ongoing education for his stylist so they are keeping up with the latest, greatest styles so as not to grow stale in their work. Since I've been going to Salon KREED, I often receive compliments on my hair, which has never happened before, so I definitely enjoy passing out his card. :-) read more

I've been seeing the same stylist in Denver for years and since moving to the Springs, I've been hesitant to try someone new. I'm STOKED I went to Salon Kreed. Michaela did a flipping fantastic job on my hair. I had to tame down my wild coloring for school and she sat with me and discussed all the options and really listened to what I wanted. The color we decided on is subtle but still fun and gives my hair dimension. I wasn't as clear for the haircut initially, so I came back in a second time to see if we could try again and... it's really perfect. Michaela FTW! Greg, the owner, also stopped by and said hi at some point, which was nice. The general vibe of the place is one of collaboration and teamwork. I think that always says a lot about the place, if the stylists like each other. I recommend them highly. I snuck a look at every client as they left and people were all looking good. I recently moved to the Springs and had a very bad cut and color at a different salon. Maria got me in the next day and was able to fix my color. I didn't expect it to come out as perfect as it did, and I appreciate her so much! Strangest & most unprofessional experience I've ever had! This was my first time to Salon Kreed - I went with them as the reviews were good & online it looked like an upscale salon. My experience was far from that. I showed up on time & waited for my stylist for 10 minutes. Not a big deal. I had pictures ready to show her what cut I would like & what color I wanted (golden blonde with lighter highlights). She excused herself to go to the other side of the room to retrieve a hair color sample. I sat for 10 minutes - when I looked over she was talking with the receptionist. She finally gets back with a reddish brown hair sample. I said I would like something lighter (Blonde - not brown). She leaves again - it takes another 10 minutes - I look over & again she is in a deep conversation with the receptionist. She returns with another brown hair sample. So I asked her to just bring the whole board of samples for me to choose from to avoid the back & forth. I pick a color - she says that my hair is too dark in the back for the blonde color. She seemed stressed with my request for a lighter hair color. She says she wants to test the color. Sure - she puts the color on - puts me under a hair dryer for 15 minutes. While I'm in the chair - I notice several hair color samples right next to me - and there was one that was exactly what I wanted. She comes back to check the test color & I show her the hair sample. She says I need to stay under the dryer 10 more minutes & she'll go look to see if they have the color sample that I had found. She returns & shows me one that is a close match - ok good we are getting some where. Then she tells me that what I'm asking for is a color correction? And that I should reschedule with owner as he will know how to color my hair. I've been in the salon for almost an hour now - I showed the stylist exactly what I want & this was her response? The hair color I wanted is not complicated. It seemed as though she had never colored blonde hair before. I left the salon with my $220 & will go elsewhere to get my hair done. read more
