Do not recommend curly hair. Jasmine was the hairdresser assigned to cut my hair, she did an awful job and was not even capable to finish my hair on the same day that she requested me to stop by the next week. I have curly hair and it had full length, I came for only 4 inches of trim and frame, she cut over 12 inches and no frame whatsoever, the front is 4 inches longer than the back, with uneven, unconnected, and messy layers that I can't even manage it. Now I have a crazy haircut. I will never step foot in this salon again. I will go to supercut or any other popular hair salon to fix my hair. Is not about the price, is about knowledge and listening to the client before showing poor superiority. Jasmine claimed she is fully booked, well instead of you being fully booked and providing awful jobs in people's hair, slow down your schedule and learn how to provide quality instead of quantity. You are not that long years licensed with years of experience as well the salon does not have an assistant for a stylist to handle fully booked schedules. It's so ashamed for the Aveda brand to have a professional who performs an awful job for clients. We pay to be miserable. I'm not so sure about all these 5 stars reviews. Yes I have chose to cut my hair in that Solon because of the 5 star's reviews. When we start to read them in deep, it seems had been made up. Im very unhappy. read more

I went in expecting a high end salon full of of expertise and skill. This was hands down the worst salon experience Ive ever had. My hair was already damaged from prior bleaching but the stylist went ahead without once letting me believe that my choice of color processing (balayage? hmm) would be making it worse! During 2-2.5 hours I found out she'd only been out of school for a year. Alarms went off.Usually I'm opened minded about this fact since I have several friends in the industry, who I trusted completely when they started. The cut was terribly executed. I asked for layers and got chopped lines like my grandma, no blending whatsoever. I was so upset and disgusted by the end, that I got out of there without a complaint, afraid to cry. But I paid the undeserved $300 + tip and left. I'm so upset that I cant go back for a fix as I don't trust the outcome. I'm paying someone else to fix the "chop," and just spent $150 on Kerastase products to repair all of the damage. read more

An out-of-town guest was looking for a mani/pedi so we indulged ourselves at Salon Linnea. Very relaxing spa-like atmosphere and the manicurists made every effort to be sure we were comfortable. The price was a bit higher than I usually pay at the Asian nail salons but we left feeling pampered and relaxed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that there wasn't a hot stone treatment with the leg massage, which I usually enjoy. Will be back, especially after they gave us a discount coupon for future services. read more

To be honest, I've been bitten more than twice by local stylists's overzealous "texturizing" since I moved to the area, but Maria more than made my day with her awesome personality; She made my hair beautiful, again. I loved the light and airy atmosphere, the lovely smell of Aveda products, and the cheerful, laughter filled conversations between other stylists and their clients. Maria is great! I was so nervous about having my curly hair trimmed. So many people don't understand curls, but she did. I left feeling great and happy with my cut for the first time in years. Following is the reason why I DO NOT RECOMMEND this salon unless you are going to get a haircut from Maria Coutris: Having never been to Salon Linnea, I was apprehensive about making a full hair appointment (color, highlights, and cut) with a new hairdresser, however, I read all the reviews listed online (which appeared to be positive) and thought I would try this facility. I scheduled my appointment the beginning of February approximately one week before I was to begin employment with a new employer. I stressed to the hair dresser, Hannah, the importance that my hair be perfect for this new position. I also covered in great detail my concerns about how thin my hair was due to a medical condition/medication and how imperative it was that my hair not be damaged. I asked for a medium brown hair color with dark caramel highlights. I was never shown any color swatches (this should have been a red flag), and what I walked out with was a brown so dark it nearly looked black and YELLOW highlights. Aside from the fact that I looked like a bumble bee with these yellow highlights, the highlights were executed poorly. The highlights didn't look natural AT ALL. I have 2" + think chunks of hair that are highlighted and the highlight starts with a straight line 1/2 way down my head. The haircut I received was uneven and not what I requested at all. My bangs were cut 1/2 way up my forehead and I looked like a ridiculous child. I said that the color was not what I requested and I was advised to go ahead and go home and get used to it for a few weeks and if I still didn't like it then I could make an appointment to have my highlights re-toned. I walked out with a charge of over $350 and with my hair styled like Sally from the Peanuts. I was beyond upset. I called back to the salon the next day to let them know I couldn't live with my hair looking like a bumble bee I needed it fixed immediately and received an appointment for a few days later. By the grace of God, Hannah was unable to be in the salon that day and Maria Coutris took time out of her schedule to try to fix my hair. Maria was amazing in doing everything she could to try to even out my hair and cut it into a shape more in line with what I was looking for considering at this point the damage had already been done. It wasn't perfect, but it was by far better than the hack job I walked in the salon with. My hair was re-toned by another stylist (I think her name was Blair) but I still didn't walk out with natural looking caramel highlights. They had a bit of a greyish hue to them. I realize the damage had already been done on my hair and the repair was going to be the best that could be done. It's just disconcerting to pay over $350 for fabulous new hair and not walk out looking and feeling amazing. Maria offered me a $20 off coupon for my next visit as she was empathetic to my distress. I sincerely appreciated her attempts to make the situation better, however, I knew I wouldn't want to return. I held off on washing my hair for two days because my hair was so dry and fried from this experience. When I finally washed my hair, I used a sulfate free color safe shampoo and conditioner. I was extremely shocked and dismayed to find that the highlights became more greyish taupe with each wash and my hair wasn't even colored evenly. There were sections that clearly had been missed altogether as my grey was showing from the first wash. I've spent a ridiculous amount of money for a bad hair experience and even more money on deep conditioning treatments to try to repair my hair. I will never go back to this salon again. read more

i'm always scared to get my hair highlighted because it's very fine and soft.... and this seems to bring a problem, regardless of whether my appt. is for highlights, cut, or whatever. this salon and the owner, hannah, were recommended by an "ole" friend that i went to high school with, but haven't seen for years. lynda did me a hugh favor because my highlights are great, and i'm very happy with my hair color now. the only small drawback is the distance, with its being in palmetto. next is my getting an appointment for a cut - and, of course, i'm totally nervous about this, too ---- although i think hannah has the talent to do a very good job for me. thank you to lynda, hannah, and salon linnea! read more

The worst salon I've ever been to! I went to the salon a few months back to get an ombre done , ( I have box dyed hair) so I knew it wouldn't be blonde but their wasn't much of a difference done and I paid almost $300 dollars so the owner gave me two options she can refund me or fix it which was the right the to do so I decided to let her fix it .. i wasn't 100 % happy but it was better than before and was almost completely blonde .. so then after weeks I felt like my root color was way to dark and I wanted to go completely blonde, so I tried to color it myself to save money and only my virgin hair turned the color I wanted so went back to get my root color lighten the cost was $97 and I came out very blotchy, i had multiple colors in my hair I had some white blondish hairs, and my roots were orange ! I called salon they said they will call me back when the owner was in ....( never called) so I show up and the owner is sitting in the front and she asked what I needed so I explained to her and she brought me to a mirror so that I can physically show her what I was seeing like if I was blind or something, then she began by telling me everything she could to convince me that it's my fault that I have orange roots ! She said it is impossible for me to go blonde and that I am simply not made to be a blonde ... ok? So why would you waste my time and money why couldn't you have told me that from the beginning I wouldn't have started to transitioned to blonde if that was the case ... now I ask her if I can get a refund because I wasn't satisfied and the answer was my stylist spent time on your hair so we don't give refunds .... unbelievable I am still in shock how a salon owner could be so mean .. word of advice never argue with a customer read more
