I accepted her recommendation to make an appointment with Madison. My hair was in very good condition. However, Madison, the colorist was clearly inexperienced and my hair turned out terrible. It looked like something for Halloween... grey, white and charcoal colors. After two more visits (1 to condition and the next to re-color) my hair was still not anywhere close to the pictures that I had shared and remained damaged. I was devastated. I needed to share so that a buyer can beware since the salon comes with high reviews. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend VCS and, while I hesitate to write negative reviews, I would not want this to happen to someone else. If you do go there, select a different person, for sure.

The Chemogirls extensions were the only answer to restore my hair. These extensions are non damaging to the fine brittle hair, as they are held with a tree sap bond. Its an amazing process. I was so relieved to find that I could once again have a beautiful head of thick long hair, that I would actually get compliments on. I finally felt like myself again after all of the cancer treatments. I have been doing these extensions with Cheryl at ESBI since 2018. I will need this service a lifetime. Her skills are amazing and am so grateful to have found her and her salon. The staff, salon and Cheryl are top notch. If I am unable to make my appt I cancel per policy and am offered another stylist if Cheryl is booked. All the stylists are taught amazing color. Their color and products are 100% top grade!! Cheryl was trained from specialists all over the world! She has been a leading teacher on cutting edge color and cuts!! Her staff is continually learning new techniques from her. Return a week later with the same ash blonde highlight picture (I have brown hair, no it's not easy but if it's not possible SAY it's not possible), and another 2 1/2 hours later my hair is even more brassy & chopped with rainbow colors. My five year old literally called it a rainbow. I called the salon the next day once it dried, was told I'd get a return call, hours later I miss their call while at work and call back, put on hold, put back on hold again, told I'd get a return call in 30 mins, that was now last week. I paid over $100 just to cry for weeks wishing I had never let them touch my hair Chris, you are the same person, owner actually, who laughed at my Facebook review and blamed "box dye" for the issue when I repeatedly said I had only used dye from Sally's that was salon quality. All of which the hairdresser was made aware of before we started. In my first review above I already mentioned the second trip. I was ignored after that over and over. Trying to apologize over a year later is pretty unacceptable don't you think?

I work in food service and education- so I wanted it to be covered simply for the fact that it looks so gross. Eileen attached a fake nail and using gel shaped the nail to match the rest of them and it looks flawless! I feel so comfortable and happy now and I was so impressed by her work!

We are both long time clients of the salon and spa. I no longer get my hair styled there as my stylist opened her own salon, but will occasionally visit for spa pampering or product purchases. I would like to start my review by saying my Signature Spa Pedicure experience with Meagan was excellent. The service lasted 60 minutes as described and my feet looked and felt great! to her. However, my friend a long time and regular hair and spa client had a different experience. While she was happy with her pedicure, her service was approximately half the time. While finishing up her technician even made a point to explain to my friend that my technician was new therefore slower. Feeling confused and giving my friend's technician the benefit of the doubt we decided to inquire whether my friend was mistakenly booked for an Express Pedicure which is described as a 30 minute service. The main difference between the two is the length of time and a minor difference is you elect a scrub OR lotion. Both reception and the salon manager confirmed my friend received a Signature Spa Pedicure because she had all the listed services and also reiterated that my technician was new, therefore still learning and slower. I equate this to signing up for a 60 minute massage and it only lasting 30 minutes then told because it was full body it was in fact a 60 minute massage even though it lasted 30 minutes. This is upsetting for my friend essentially paid an extra $18 for one extra application and was left sitting half the time while I continued to get pampered. Also when reception checked out us out before we even approached the desk or asking how we'd like to pay. She debited both our credits on file even though my friend intended to treat for my birthday. While I planned on paying for my own service, but they shouldn't assume. Overall I would advise anyone seeking a pedicure to save yourself $18 and opt for an Express Pedicure and apply lotion yourself at the end. To Simply Swank treat your new stylists/trainees AND long time regular customers better.

I understand this, but it's the duty of the salons owner to make sure they have the correct training and verify their techniques before they allow them to do hair. Within the first 5 minutes, I felt like running for the hills. My inexperienced stylist asked so many questions just to prepare the mix for my color/highlights, it made me very nervous. Then the response that she got from Nicole when asking questions was so condescending and snippy, it made me uncomfortable. She could've cared less what this girl was putting on my head. I refuse to blame Madison, because she had no business working with customers without supervision. Plus, my groupon for full highlights did not include a base color. Huh?! I have never got highlights that didn't include the base color. Why would you throw highlights on dull, old color??? Then came the illusive "toner" other reviews have pointed out, for an extra $25 which is supposed to accent your highlights and make your hair shiny. She poured it on my head, then left me with my head hanging in the sink for 1/2 an hour while she signed up 2 women for new tanning packages. The end result...my new color is still dull, my highlights are almost non existent and my hair feels like straw. Add the extra $45 I had to pay on top of the Groupons for a full highlight and cut/style ...Even my husband, who normally compliments me when I get my hair done, said my hair looks awful. I'm still crying...I will call and speak to the owner today, but I felt the need to warn others.
