There are things I mentioned that work for my hair. I asked that she not make it too tight but I wasn't going for a body wave. Asked her to use the white rollers for the lower back of my hair. She tells me it's going to look ugly. I've done this to my hair in the past. Also asked that she not cut my hair because I didn't about a month prior. I told her I didn't mind a trim, but when I looked on the floor she already cut almost 2 inches. Now my hair was shoulder length which is not what I was going for. Now the top part of my hair looks like a body wave while the rest is curly. I had them do it because I had an accident and couldn't do it myself. The worst part of this experience is the fact that the stylist is Hispanic and I explained to her both in English and Spanish so there would be no mistakes.

She did not book me for the time that she said; she had a consultation right after mine and completely forgot about me and booked that person for my time. I had pre booked my appointment with her; I got in early so that I would be able to have the time I needed on the day that I could be off. I took the whole day of the appointment off. Instead of canceling her other client that she double booked, she chose to honor that appointment over mine. Since she had basically ignored me and not done what she said she would during the consultation, I asked for my money back. Natalie did not take that well and instead of trying to fix things, became totally unprofessional. I left Natalie a bad review on her booking site due to her unprofessional behavior. That was also not taken well. I figured, if I couldn't get my money back I could at least warn others of her negligence. I know this method isn't for everyone, but I usually approach hair appointments with the mentality of "you're the professional and I trust you to work your magic." I usually don't provide many specific directions to my stylists besides a color/ look I'm going for and then I let them do their thing. My hair is big, thick, and curly and has been through it all (blonde, ombré, balayage, etc.) Natalie was not intimidated by my curls like many stylists I've tried in the past and she was able to not only meet, but most importantly exceed any expectations I had for my color. I love the fact that she runs specials periodically and her prices are affordable within my medical student budget! If you're on the hunt for a colorist, you would be selling yourself short by not stopping into Bleached Salon and asking for Natalie.

My hair is hard to get right because I have silky fine hair with a big of wave in it, plus several cowlicks with a mind of their own. The artist had recommended Ann specifically, so I made an appointment for a haircut and to discuss adding a bright color to add depth and fun. I'm so glad I went! She gave me an excellent razor cut with layers, more or less a soft shag, that two months later is still working for me! I am thrilled to find a stylist who can do that on the first cut: that requires not just talent but also skill. Plus Ann is nice, I was very comfortable talking with her, and look forward to going back soon for a trim and to add some bright tropical color to make it more fun! The salon is nice, with amenities that make customers feel very at home. While the salon itself was charming and welcoming, my experience with one particular stylist, Ann,…read morewas extremely disappointing and caused significant harm. This review reflects the quality of service I received from her specifically. Due to what I believe was a lack of appropriate training and oversight, my hair was severely overprocessed during a gray blending session. The bleach was left on my hair for over an hour--possibly up to an hour and a half or longer--which resulted in extensive breakage and damage all the way to the roots. The entire front section of my hair has either broken off or fallen out completely, leaving me with very little hair in that area. Every strand that was treated is compromised. I am devastated by the outcome. There is no simple fix for the damage that was done. If you were to draw a line from above my right ear across the top of my head to my left ear, nearly all the hair in front of that line is either missing, falling out, or reduced to short, broken strands. It will take years for that hair to fully grow back. All I wanted was to embrace my gray, and now I'm left with devastating results instead.
