DO NOT be like me and just assume the yelp price, $35 is the price you will be paying. On Haven Hair Studio & Spa website it lists, $35 ON UP depending on different variations. I requested to see the Owner of the salon, Kari. She was friendly and easy to talk to, which was comforting. The salon was clean, and trendy. I was offered tea, or water. The reasons for the missing three stars. My hair cut was horrible. Not only did my hair not turn out how I tried to communicate, it was cut badly. I enjoy some choppy layers, but there was no rhyme or reason for the random layers in my hair. Now we have all had bad hair cuts, but to be charged $60 dollars to get literally less then four inches cut off was shocking. I am still confused if this salon charges by length or time. If it was time, I hope the salon can manage it more wisely. I called the salon a few hours after returning home asking if some weight could be cut from the top layers. I was treated very kindly by the other stylist(forgot her name) and was able to get in the next day. Kari was out of town at the time but still went out of her way to call and ask about the concerns of my hair. After explaining how I felt like my hair was too soft and I wasn't very happy with it, I was told to wait a few weeks to get used to my hair and live in it. That I had received the style I had shown her via picture. In a couple months she could go back through my hair after knowing more about how the texture works to get a better idea of that I want. Not knowing how much your hair cut can come up to, i wouldn't recommend this salon to friends or family just based on that. I realize we all have personal preferences to how we like our hair to be cut, but this was a bad hair cut for a really really high price.

Third time's the charm, folks…read more I've had a tough time finding a stylist who can give a decent haircut in the area. It's been a lot of disappointments and a lot of hats. I think I can put my hats away now: Megan knows how to cut hair. I gave her the same spiel I'd given the other stylists: I have a history of funky hair and I'd like to keep it that way. I'm growing it out, but I'd rather have it take longer and have my hair look good along the way. I also told her I was really nervous after my last couple haircuts in the tri-cities. For the first time, I felt heard. She explained her game plan for growing out while keeping it looking tidy. She asked how I liked to style it, asked what kind of product I liked to use, and set to snip-snipping away and thinning out my thick and heavy hair. She was chatty and friendly and overall delightful. Best of all? I have a haircut I like. I look and feel like myself. After a couple months of looking and feeling frumpy, it feels great to be back to normal.

I DIDN'T TRUST ANYONE. but it started to look...bad. something needed to be done if my self esteem was to remain remotely intact. reasons im hair-nervous? 1) im a hairdresser myself, and incredibly picky. 2.) i've had the same person do my hair for a really, really long time. 3.) i like my hair funky. and people's definitions of "funky" can sometimes be more on the tame side. in better words- my hair requests can freak even a season stylist out. i researched like a mad woman, and just felt this good vibe about three little birds. i took my xanax (im just kidding) and headed megan's way. i was put at ease seriously seconds after i walked in and saw her smiling face waiting to greet me. megan LISTENS. she gives a good head massage. she uses great products (kenra). the aesthetic of the salon was comforting. she's effing hilarious. she understands my funkiness. best part? she knows her stuff. 2legit2quit4real it was a little hard to give over money when you've been used to getting cuts for free (barter system, you rock) BUT $45 for her services is a steal, you guys. she was worth every damn penny. my mullet is gone. my layers are light and refreshed. my bangs aren't all up in my grill and they swoop to the side perfectly. im the prettiest belle of the ball. sad im living in the area only until the end of summer- im going to dream up some hair adventures so i can see megan a few more times!!

I am usually extremely picky and careful about choosing a hair stylist but she knows what she is doing, she seems to enjoy her job and takes pride in it. This is not what you would call a fancy smancy type of salon but they know what they are doing and they make you feel at ease. I have definitely found my new hair stylist and salon.
