We came in from out of town and hired Anthony and his assistant Jonathan to do our hair for a wedding. I was initially very impressed with Anthony's communication as we set up the arrangements, he was extremely amenable and very professional. When we met in the hotel lobby, I instantly knew we were in good hands, such a great first impression. Once settled in our rooms, both Anthony and Jonathan were very attentive, listening carefully to our requests. My daughter had an up-do, my mother in law and myself were styled, and my son's hair cut. What a great experience, we were all so thrilled with our hair and got several compliments at the event. I have been going to Salon On The GO By Anthony LLC for several years now, and I was always satisfied with my hair, so much so that both my kids also went to him as well and I had referred him to others, and I also considered him a friend. However, this time he totally butchered my hair. He was only supposed to trim it a bit to shape it up, and do my highlights that had grown out about 3-4 inches. For some reason he "layered" it, and I use that term loosely, because it was a shaggy stringy butchered mess, at the bottom of my hair. This "layering" went up probably about 4 inches, maybe more. I have very thin, fine hair, so layering just makes it look thinner. Also there was gaps in it. So I texted him and sent him the pics, and we scheduled an appointment for me to come back for a correction cut, and when I told him how upset I was, he got an attitude and said "If it's that bad you can come in at 5 today." So I said yes, I will be there at 5. So I went back, and he had the nerve to say he didn't remember layering it! So he was to cut off all the scraggly layers, and I knew it was going to be shorter than what I wanted, but at that point I had no choice because it looked so bad. Well the next time I washed and dried my hair, I realized how uneven it was! OMG, one side was way longer than the other and crooked. That is the point where I was now in tears, I texted him, he did nothing but get an attitude, took zero responsibility and starting in how "I don't need clients like you." I then requested a full refund, this was not cheap, $264.00, as he is on the pricey end. He then had the nerve to say "I expected this from you.", implying I was hard to satisfy and unreasonable, which had never been the case before this cut. He then said he would refund the cut and tip, but not the color, and I was like no, after what you have done to my hair, and I will have to pay to have it redone, and it will take years to grow out, I deserve a full refund and if not I was going to report him to the BBB and file a complaint. Then he proceeded to tell me to "Do what you gotta do, complain if that makes you feel better!!!!Please." .....He finally did refund me the full amount, but that doesn't undo the damage. I went to a new person, she was like stunned as to how bad the correction cut was, she actually took a picture of it for her records. She said it looked like "an angry cut". Also she told me the coloring on the base of my hair was sub par, that it was very blocky and you could see the lines of the foils, it was not blended at all. So not only did Anthony give me a terrible, devastating , butchered cut twice, first the original cut, then the "correction cut", the highlights were bad too. My new person did an emergency trim and evened it out, my hair that was long now barely sits on my shoulders. This has been very devastating to me, it took me years to grow my hair out and to get it the way I envisioned it, and in just a couple of hours, Anthony ruined it. He had no remorse, Took no responsibility for his work, and had a huge attitude and zero customer service recovery skills. I can't believe how unprofessional he has been, I never ever expected him to be like this. It will take years for my hair to grow back. I am beyond upset. I've been to over 10 stylists in DFW varying between private salons and franchise shops who have all done well, but nothing comes close to Anthony's masterful work. I wish I could write a good review, because Anthony seems like a very nice person. Unfortunately, he butchered my hair beyond belief. I have a very simple hairstyle, but was willing to pay $75 for it because I've had some bad experiences paying $10 at Supercuts or Great Clips. I was shocked that after Anthony was finished, my hair looked like a bad $10 cut gone wrong. I hoped it would look better when I washed it and styled it myself, but it didn't. In fact, it was worse because the bad layering in the back and the super-short, uneven bangs were more visible when they weren't straightened. I will not go back. read more
