didn't get her name but it was the other young woman with the longer hair who did my nails. i…read morecould tell she was in a poor mood when she arrived compared to the other employees. when i was choosing my length for gel x i wanted the longer tips cuz i wanted them a bit shorter & not the medium almond tip. after she cut & filed them (BEFORE) painting them i mentioned i had changed my mind on the length & wanted them just a bit shorter. she then basically YELLED at me for changing my mind ... saying she could've just done the medium ones, grabbed the other medium gel x box & slammed it down.... i think that her comment was very unnecessary & very very rude. ive never had someone snap at me like that over a simple change of heart. it was so awkward to then have to sit there while she did them. i just wanted to leave i felt so uncomfortable & i will not be returning nor recommending this location.

I then saw that she had sent me a message at 5:19 p.m. asking me to come back the following day because she was "very busy." I did not see the message before arriving because not everyone constantly checks social media or has Messenger notifications turned on. This was especially upsetting because I had stopped by the salon the previous evening while Ms. Kim was sitting without a customer. She told me she had a 5:00 p.m. appointment and specifically instructed me to return today at 6:00 p.m. When I asked why she was canceling my appointment after telling me to come at that time, she repeatedly said that she was very busy and told me to return tomorrow. At that point, I explained that I needed my nails shortened because they were becoming too long and could put me out of compliance while wearing my military uniform. Instead of acknowledging my concern or apologizing, she waved her hand at me as if she were dismissing me from the salon. After briefly stepping outside, I returned and waited. Ms. Kim finished with her customer around 6:16 p.m. but then invited another person to sit at her station. When I asked whether that person had arrived before or after me, she only responded, "I messaged you." I explained that I had been a loyal customer since approximately July 2024 and asked why she had canceled my appointment to take other customers. She completely ignored me while I was standing directly in front of her speaking. I understand that salons can become busy and schedules sometimes change. However, sending a Facebook Messenger message only 41 minutes before my appointment was not an appropriate way to cancel, especially without confirming that I had received it. More importantly, I should not have been told that my scheduled appointment was canceled because she was "very busy," only to watch her take another customer after finishing the person in her chair. Waving me away and then ignoring me when I tried to address the situation was disrespectful and unprofessional. After being a loyal customer for more than two years, I did not deserve to be treated this way. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

I'm sad to give only 2 stars, as I was so excited to finally find a new salon in Olympia where I could become a regular. The rating is for extremely disappointing customer service follow up, after spending $300 on a failed perm. I don't blame the stylist for the perm not taking, as she did try twice. But after leaving a second time without a lasting perm, and being charged an additional $40 for a conditioning treatment, I was expecting at the very least some help & advice of how to treat my now damaged hair. I called twice and even spoke to the manager and was offered a consultation on how to treat my hair (which never happened). However, neither the manager nor stylist have bothered to help or call me back to schedule the consultation (the manager said she'd call back once she talked to stylist). I have since gone to another salon where they were appalled at the service I received, and said if it was them,they'd do everything they could to help me and at the very least offer a free cut or conditioning for my now $300 failed perm. It is only after they insisted I write this review, that I am on here. I'm sure they do normally good cuts/styles, but if it were them in my place, I hope they'd expect better service than I received for $300. read more

I love this place!! I've been having my hair done by Leslie for about a year now, and I feel it's never looked or felt better. The color is always perfect for my skin tone, and my hair always feels healthier after my appointments, even when I've had color lifted. The atmosphere is great, too; friendly stylists, good music, free wi-fi, and the space is bright, open, and elegant. There are lots of large windows for prime people watching, too, if you get bored!
