I hate leaving negative reviews because everyone was very kind, but I was disappointed with my experience. I came in asking for a very simple French tip and showed an inspiration photo. The first set looked nothing like the picture, so I asked if they could redo them. They were very accommodating and redid the entire set, which I appreciated. Even after the redo, though, the nails still didn't match the inspiration. The shape, French tips, and overall finish weren't as clean or even as I was hoping for. The customer service was great, but unfortunately the quality of the work didn't match my expectations, especially for such a simple design. read more

I have been here twice and am just not impressed. I had an acrylic nail refill and they began chipping 6 days after I had them done. This is unacceptable for the price I paid. The salon did not seem real clean and was cluttered. There is also a very strong smell of chemicals without any fans or any noticeable ventilation. My niece likes this place, for some reason, so I went in to get a gift certificate for her birthday and the two nail techs were asleep in the pedicure chairs. They did not wake up when I came in and I felt bad waking them up. I stood there for about 4 minutes, coughing and moving my keys around in hopes of waking them but they never stirred. I felt bad as they must be really tired but I would suggest napping in the back room and having a bell on the door if this is standard practice. I have been trying to find a new salon after my nail tech retired, but this is definitely not the one. read more

I worry that Olympia doesn't know what an absolute gem they have. I travel a lot and get nail services across the country. This little spot is by far, by FAR, the best. I look forward to coming to this place when I'm in town. The woman who did my service was kind, efficient, and did quality work. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. Today was my second time going here to give it another chance. The first gel manicure I received peeled in under 1 week, other than that it was great. This time I was cut several times, and would not stop bleeding. I even had to ask for a bandaid after they told me I was finished. There are rough spots on my manicure, which she noticed at "fixed" one by filing it down and leaving it, which is basically dooming that nail for failure as it lots it's top coat, and there's a ton of gel under one of my nails. Not only was the service this time sub par, but for someone to be cut this badly and not even receive a discounted service or something for next time is really poor customer service. I made an apt for 11:30 with two other people who also had appointments. They serviced the two I was with and I sat there with my feet in progressively colder water for almost an hour. The two people I was with were almost done before they got to me. I was not going to sit there for another hour and make the people I was with sit for another hour. So I just left. I don't know why they let me make an appointment if they weren't going to get to me for an hour. They claimed that "people called out this morning" but they let me make the appointment an hour prior, so I think that was just an excuse. I'm really sad I wasted my time and got all pruny for nothing. read more

I never make an appointment I always just walk-in. I mostly just ask for a pedicure. The vibe is chill and I enjoy everything that comes with the pedicure. I usually get baby bottom service. That pedicure leaves my feet nice and soft. My only gripe is the consistency when it comes to cutting and painting my toes. There is one that does not do a great job. I left once saying I should have did them myself and then there are times when they do a great job. I give them 7/10. read more

My friend and I scheduled an appointment for 12:30 and waited nearly 30 minutes before being taken care. We went in for two mani acrylics! The guy said they didn't offer gel, and only specialized in Dip powder. I was going for an ombré look, and had no idea I had to pick out the base color as well for the purple ombré that I wanted. I showed an inspiration pic as well but it still wasn't good enough I guess! Also when we was buffing/filing my nails omg I nearly screamed, it felt like he was intentionally releasing his stress on my nails. All in all It took us until nearly 3:00pm that we were finished. My daughter and her friend had pictures of the designs they wanted, so I made an appointment request through their Facebook page. They responded very quickly (within a 3 minutes) and gave me prices for what the girls wanted done. When we arrived, Emily greeted us and we verified what was going to be done. I never felt at any point, that she was trying to up sell us on added things, which made me really happy and comfortable. She was also really friendly. Okay, so I've been here twice, it's a fairly small shop, 4 techs but only 2 that do acrylic, gel, dip, etc. Everyone is extremely friendly and I would say customer service is 4 stars. This is the second spa that I've been to in the area that doesn't offer complimentary beverages which may just not be a thing here. Because of the limited number of techs, you could easily spend 2.5 hours here for a mani/pedi or pedi/full set. Which for some may be a big deal. Now for the actual work. My feet looked and felt amazing both times! A+ for pedicures. The first time I went I got a manicure with gel polish, the second I got a full set with gel polish. First time lasted about two weeks he flew it which I expect for gel polish. My full set however, I got them done on Friday (could've been Thursday) and they look like the picture below the following Tuesday. Which is very unfortunate because prices are not the lowest in the area. I paid $85 with a tip for a basic pedicure with gel ($23+extra for gel polish) and full set with acrylic (not sure what the exact cost for that was. But I also paid the exact same amount for a basic gel manicure and the next pedicure up which I believe is like $32 plus extra for gel polish. Not a bad shop but not really what I'm used to. So I think my search for a shop in the area will continue. read more

I have been getting my nails done for 20 years or more. Never have I had my nails painted BEFORE I wash the nail dust off of my hands from all the filing. There was nail dust all over Ruby the technician, the station, her hands and obviously my hands. Nail dust was painted into my nails because it was literally all over my hands and nails. AFTER all the painting then she said to wash my hands. It was ridiculous and the technician next to me did the same thing so that's how it's done at this place. It's insane. read more

This is a family operated business and they make you feel Iike you're part of their family. I'm very picky with my manis and pedis. I like perfection and I was not disappointed! I am sad to be parting with this salon because I really had some great manicures in the beginning, I said I would never go anywhere else! I drive 35 minutes to and from because I really enjoyed this shop at one point!! I normally get dip powder, and a couple weeks ago I got them done and they were so so thick & uneven, not to mention I had a couple burns/scrapes from the drill hitting my cuticle. They also had cracks in them by the end of the day. I figured I would go one more time before finding a new place, maybe the tech had a bad day? I went today at 12:30 for an appointment, and by 3 I already had cracks in them again! My cuticle was also bumped by the drill again, which I understand can happen, but sheesh! So frustrating to pay $40+ and they don't even last the next day! I will not be going back unfortunately :( read more

I have been going to Butterfly nails for 5 years now. Emily was the owner then and she was the first to introduce me to dipping powder. I did acrylic nails for years and they always made my, already weak nails, weaker. Dipping powder grows with your real nails because it's easier to remove than acrylic. Never have I left not happy with my nails. Although I miss Emily & Than terribly, the new owners, Ruby & Steve are just as awesome! They always remember me and make me feel like family. They always make sure I'm happy with my nails as they're doing them and they're super nice & fun to chat with, making each visit great! What an awesome place! My sister and I took our mom to Butterfly nail and spa salon for her 82nd birthday. I researched many and this rated the best of ten in our area. So on the day we were running a few minutes late, we texted to let them know, they texted us immediately with we will wait for you. Wonderful!!. When we walked in, the first thing we noticed was that it was incredibly clean, the second was all the smiles on everyone's face, customers as well as the technicians. Great atmosphere !! Ruby showed us a menu and all the colors available. Now I had never been, nor had my mother, so my sister and ruby helped us negotiate the many services they offered, and ruby made that happen. We went with pedicure with a citrus and honey sugar massage and toenail polish. It was amazing! The technicians were extremely attentive making every effort to ensure our comfort and happiness while working diligently. They took my frumpy feet and turned them beautiful. The massage of my feet and legs was incredible, what an experience!!. The massage chairs turning our backs into jello and the techs , our legs and feet into bliss. I couldn't believe I had pretty feet, my mom said she never felt so good and wanted to do more often. So we will make it a regular outing. So if your looking to get pampered you have found the place. Salon spa is better I thought I would give this a try Saturday since they were able to fit me and my two friends while my two friends got service I waited in cold water after 30 minutes someone come and gets started on my toes. I asked to do new water the girl doing my toes went so fast that I look over at my friends and they are still being pampered while she is now painting my toes. I started after my friends!!!!
