I love coming here for the smaller relaxed environment compared to other nail salons. I come back every 2 weeks because I trust Thuy. She is very knowledgeable in her craft. She makes recommendations that keep my nails healthy but still give me the style I want. I love trying a new color every time I'm here. I highly recommend the gel because it lasts long and doesn't chip. I'm going on vacation and wanted to pamper myself. I tried something I've never done before called the SNS powder. It gave a beautiful white-pink ombre look. Usually you get this done with acrylics but I didn't want to ruin my nails so she said she could do it on my real nails and it turned out perfect! Great experience there today. I made an appointment. They got me in right on time. Thuy asked what I wanted, and delivered precisely.

I went here yesterday and received a full set and a pedicure. Pedicure was fine but my full set turned out pretty bad... the acrylic is uneven and lumpy. They just look weird and I've never gotten a full set that looks like this :( this place had great reviews, but I'm very disappointed in how they turned out. Been searching for a long time for a nail shop to meet my standards, which quite honestly are not spa level, just normal expectations. Well this lovely lady and her crew of two are killing the nail game in Oly. Now I am not a fancy nail kind of girl, not interested in bling, or coffin shapes, or Picasso on the tips. A girl just wants to have some clean looking hands and feet for my own appreciation. 1. So kind, sweet, and made sure the environment was welcoming. 2. I WISH I HAD A PEDICURE TO REVIEW, but after sitting and waiting for 30 minutes with our feet in water - I walked out. So, using the Yelp app, I had requested an appointment for two. The parking situation was a bit confusing, so we ended up being a few minutes late for our noon time appointment. They share a building with or are connected to an Allstate Insurance office. A sign is posted on the building (Allstate side) that parking is only for their customers. However, as you approach the Nail Salon, you will see the sidewalk sign that says to park in the Allstate lot. Upon entering the salon, I stood there for a few minutes before I was greeted. Fine. Understandable as all the techs were busy with their clients. I let them know that we were there for the 12 o'clock pedis for two and apologized for being a few minutes late due to the parking confusion. At 12:20 or so, we finally were invited to sit in their spa pedicure massaging chairs. One of the techs quickly wiped down the inside of the "bowl" of the middle chair and started filling it with water. Then, using the same dirty rag, she wiped the inside of the first chair (that I ended up sitting in). We just assumed that maybe they had been cleaned and she was just wiping up leftover cleaner before filling them with very hot water and tossing in the blue bath pod. We let it go since the chairs did look very new. And, the two clients in there looked like they had nice feet (pedicures). Unfortunately, they were also getting manicures and we continued to wait and sit with our feet soaking. After observing for 30 or so minutes, we decided to dry off our feet and leave. They appeared to be in the middle of an audit or inspection of some type. One of their workers had left right after we showed up (and were told that they were "a little behind" schedule). None of the techs there (owner plus one, I assume) did not check with us or speaks to us while we were sitting in the chairs and feet soaking. No updates to when they might be able to start one of our pedicures. We could have left to eat or run an errand, then came back in an hour or when they could have provided us the services we had an appointment for. We drove off at 1pm having wasted an hour and having had NO PEDICURES! read more

I found Thuy's on YELP and was not disappointed. It's super close to my house and I was able to make a same day appointment on YELP which was kind of cool! Unlike a lot of impersonal walk-in nail bars Thuy's is small with only two technicians including Thuy. It's next to an All State office (that's where u park BTW) and it's very clean and quaint. Ellen was on the TV and the only other customer there raves about THUY and how long she had searched for a good pedi in "this town." She was right. I liked not having to wait 10, 20 minutes or more with my feet soaking and water turning cold. They also had the massage chairs which I like. I opted for the $25 regular pedi vs spa (which includes paraffin wax and something else for $20 more). She did a really nice job. I will for sure come back. Only reason it's not a 5 is a like a little more foot massage and that sugar scrub thing. read more

I made an appointment through this app and Thuy responded within 10 mins. I was still expecting a wait when I arrived but I was seen immediately upon walking through the door. I got a manicure/pedicure. Thuy and her staff are kind and friendly. I got the dip powder on my nails which is something I've never had done before. It looks like acrylic nails but is done i your natural nails and should last 2-3 weeks. I asked about removal and was told it's just like removing gel nails you just soak the nail in acetone and scrape off. I think both my pedicure and manicure came out beautifully! My favourite nail spot in Olympia! I recently moved to Oly from Seattle, so I came with relatively high nail salon exceptations. From the moment I walked in I was so blown away. The space is neat and filled with lots of natural light. It's so clean and easy to relax in. It's never over-crowded or overwhelming. But, the creme de la creme is the wonderful ladies that run Thuy's. They are so kindhearted, hard-working, and wonderful people who do a beyond-amazing job every time. After going to the same nail girl for about 20 years and being disappointed the last 4 times, I decided it was time to find a new nail place. I'll admit it; I was very scared to leave what I knew. I've driven past Thuy's Nail & Spa lots of times, and something made me stop in to make an appointment this morning. Instant appointment! I was warmly greeted and quickly seated. I shared some of my concerns with Thuy, and she made me feel comfortable. She was very thorough and detailed in her caring work of my french fill. She shaped my nails just the way I like them, and even finished with a very relaxing hand massage. All this time I thought hand massages were only for people getting regular manicures. I'm sold. I made my next appointment, and I told my mom about this place. She made an appointment, too. Now don't go all crazy and make this great little nail salon so busy that I can't get the appointment times I need! haha! She offers a punch card for her frequent flyers, so after 10 visits, the customer gets $10 off. There's a TV to watch, and that makes the time fly by. One last thing: Thuy's English is very good, which is very helpful when trying to get exactly what you want. She's a very good conversationalist, too. read more

This is a relatively new salon up on the westside. Small with only two employees right now. I had my nails done by Thuy. Pedicure and gel manicure. She did a very nice job on each. I loved, loved, loved her hand and foot/leg massage. Thuy also offers a bunch card for $10 off after ten visits ... except she punched me twice for this visit (nails and pedicure maybe or first timer, not sure). I really liked the salon itself. Clean and for me anyway, it was quiet. I probably shouldn't post this great review and keep this good secret. I have tried several salons on the westside (my fourth) and this one I am happy with. As long as my polish stays on, I think I found a keeper. I spent $55 for the two services and gave her a $10 tip. read more
