Went in and was seen by Victoree for a balayage. The salon itself is beautiful, everything is neatly organized and clean. Chairs are comfortable and staff is very friendly. You are offered a drink of choice when you come in and so those morning when I am in a hurry and forget to have a cup of coffee--- this place is helpful for that pick me up. The interaction between me and my stylist felt organic, she was thorough and asked clarifying questions so that we could achieve what I was looking for. Pricing is fair for the area and also based on experience level of the stylist. I've already been twice for my hair and twice for facials. Highly recommend the signature facial btw! I literally said we want to be together, same time slot, and that we both have long hair. They scheduled us. We get here, our trip is first thing tomorrow morning, and the girl at the front desk first tells me I (me, I) scheduled one of those haircuts for their other location. Nope, I sure did not, because that would be stupid. I explain this to them, leaving out the stupid part, and they backtrack and say, "Oh, well we don't have anyone who can cut short hair here, that's probably why they scheduled you there." Cool. As you can see, my kid's hair is longer than mine, and it's staying long. Also, they didn't schedule me elsewhere. Also, what? An entire salon just can't manage short hairstyles? Good to know. Everyone with short hair, don't bother I guess. I explain that I told the woman who scheduled us that we both have long hair, and, again, this was booked so two people could have their hair cut together before a trip. Then she changes tack yet again, and tells me, "Oh, well I think maybe that person was here and then they moved to the other location. Sorry we didn't tell you." Sorry indeed. "We can only do one haircut for you, unless you want to come back 5 hours from now." No, I don't want to come back five hours from now. I want you guys to get your goddamn s**t together. Because this isn't the first time they've done this to me or one of my kids. It's in fact the third time. I ate it both times before and drove to the other location, both times they gaslit and acted as if I was the one who made a mistake, and both times I had to drive all over town and deal with stylists who were rushed and (in one case) visibly irritated by the appointment starting late. I'm pretty chill. I didn't complain. Anyway, I'm practically begging at this point and damn near about to cry, because my day is full full, my trip is a big deal, and it's been a year since my last haircut and I just needed to not look like a trash bag. No can do, lady. I tell my son to go ahead. The stylist takes him back. Receptionist lets me stand there twiddling my thumbs for a minute, then has the AUDACITY to ask if I'd like her to find me a seat (there's no waiting area at this place, and I legitimately don't understand why). Yes. I really would. Thanks. This chick takes me to a hairdryer chair. It's cozy, but still. She comes back as I'm actively writing this review, apologizes, and lets me know that she's going to be a doll and give me $30 off my kid's haircut. I told her I appreciated the offer, but it wasn't really necessary, and what I really needed was a haircut. So the stylist rushes my son's haircut and comes over and offers to do mine dry since there isn't enough time for a wash. When I tell her what I want, which is pretty easy as far as haircuts go, she decides it'll take too long. She doesn't want to rush it and have me be unhappy with things, after all. You can't make this s**t up. I debate just letting her trim the ends but ultimately, why bother. I tip this chick $40 on a now $30 haircut because I guess I'm a people pleaser and this was all awkward as crap for her when it wasn't her fault. My kid's hair looks better. FML. Every time the prices have been different. It's gone from $125 to $250 to $80, which is odd (perhaps the stylist decides the price?), though all these prices are comparable to other salons downtown. Also, the touch-up has been patchy on occasion. They also have strange hours. However, they're much easier to book an appointment with than other salons in the area, as they're very flexible, and the location is sublime. The windows give you an amazing street view to people watch, and when they wash your hair, you get to look up and the gorgeous exposed beams. I'm an architecture nerd.

My teenager is very picky about her hair and has had a balyage and cut with Yvonne and she is very happy with her hair as well. Yvonne is very sweet, kind, and efficient. She gets my hair done in a very reasonable amount of time, has a flexible schedule so you can get in quickly and at a time that is convenient for you. The prices at the salon are good too. After feeling comfortable with our evolving rapport, second to my last session, we discussed personal interests. We simply exchanged opinions. I did not beg to differ, that would not be in my best interest...after all, I was in her chair. Weeks later, my last session for "touch up" was made for a pre-arranged slot. Upon arriving on time, Irish was already tending to another client. After forty minutes, I was received. She was hurried in her demeanor--- also a new presentation. Despite (what felt to be) token passes with her tattoo blade, the correction for uneven eyebrows would later remain...UNCORRECTED. Was colorant ink even applied? I miss the relationship I thought I had with Ms. Alana. My face shows this today. And this is why I visit another artist's services. Never talk politics or religion with those acquaintances of which you depend. Yet...this just may be my imagination...
