Do not go to Salty Strands inside this place. I wanted an ashy brown look, with some highlights going into only the ends light and silvery, but mostly brown. This is what I got after THREE tries and it still wasn't what I wanted at all. Reddish brown into brassy yellow? Are you kidding me? It looks like my hair is just grown out. This is literally the worst company you could possible do business with. They use shady tactics to keep deposits like blaming tenants for their own repair man's damage and overcharging for everything they can. Example, $50+ for an electrical outlet cover or $900+ for a single roller shade. Also the rent price is extremely over priced. Not to mention their regional manager Tea has made racist remarks. I went to get my hair done (Balayage) with Nicole S. My hair looked ok when I left but once I got home and started looking through my hair I saw dark and light lines in between the blonde parts of my hair and patches all over! Especially in the front of my hair near my face. I asked for blonde and my roots came out orange and it doesn't blend in well at all.. she also left a lot of dark hair in between the blonde so again it doesn't blend in well!!! She specifically asks clients to text/message her to set something up and I've been trying to and I have not gotten a callback, text or anything from her! I've text her so many times and have called the salon to see what I can do but they said they can't do anything about it. I paid $300 for something that doesn't look nice and honestly I'm very disappointed! She's Not professional at all!!!! Would not recommend!!!!!!!!! I was very excited to find a salon that's so close to where I work! I thought it would be convenient since I work most days of the week. I reached out to a few of the stylists and decided to book with Nicole as her schedule was more open. Unfortunately I had to cancel due to work related reasons and I let her know right away which was 6 days in advance from the appointment. When booking with Nicole she had asked for a $100 deposit which was to go towards the cost of the service/appointment. Since I don't have my new schedule yet and the holidays are hectic I wasn't able to reschedule. I let Nicole know this at the time of cancellation. Because I canceled so far in advance and wasn't able to reschedule I was expecting to get my $100 deposit back. Especially since I was told the deposit would just be used to hold my spot for the appointment. I requested the $100 back on Zelle shortly after sending her my cancellation message. I waited 24 hours and then checked the next day and noticed she had read my message but not responded or refunded me. I sent a follow up text confirming if she got the message but still haven't heard back. I then came to Yelp and saw other reviews of people having issues with her as well at this Salon. This all seems extremely unprofessional! There should be at the very least communication going on between stylists and clients. I'm very disappointed that this doesn't seem to be working out. My next step will be to contact the Salon and hopefully they can help. This really feels like a scam so be careful putting down deposits at Salon Republic or with Nicole Sauck! read more

Nicole rescheduled on me twice (1st was understandable due to babysitting issues) second time was bc she wanted to go to a dodgers game and rescheduled my 14:00 appointment again. (Funny how a babysitter was found for the game) Nicole finally asked about my roots and said it would take a long time to process...this is not my first rodeo. Nicole knew I had a wedding to attend to this Saturday. Other than being professional and resourceful like asking to do a color melt or blend out my overgrown balayage, she asked how much time I had before the wedding. Nicole, Your lack of Communication and resourcefulness is inadequate. I felt discriminated from being of Asian descent and I will tell everyone I know who to avoid. Hayley @thehairbabe is absolutely terrible. I asked for a copper root with copper highlights. I even had a inspo picture for her to reference. My hair looks absolutely nothing like the picture. She didn't even blend my roots and there is 4 highlights of copper and i have a lot of hair. It's so so brassy. Even at the end she knew it didn't look good and suggested I do something else next time. DO NOT go to her.
