The staff was kind and offered me snacks and beverages right off the bat. From the moment I consulted with Catherine she asked all the right questions about my hair history and understood the assignment 100%. I'm a new mom and my hair hasn't been highlighted in so long that I wasn't feeling like myself. Not to mention I have thick 3c Curly hair that has older highlights but she handled my hair with care, thoughtfulness and full attention to detail. She was also funny, full of personality and welcoming as a person I felt such a lifelong stylist-customer relationship form almost immediately. I was told to pic a color, but, I have to be honest here, there was really no choice to make for me. They had very dull color choices and not very many which totally surprised me. I kept saying that nothing was interesting to me. Anyhow, finally decided (all the while being not happy with color). Might I add that this was the most expensive pedicure that I ever paid for and I have traveled all over the world. It was so basic, they don't even trim up the cuticles around the nail, they do nothing to the areas around the nails. NEVER had that happen before. They look horrible to me. She had to keep polishing one of the nails, or should I say half of my nail, over and over to try and get it right. (never did) Just a VERY TERRIBLE experience. Lesson learned. Will Never Go There Again. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

I was given no consultation when I booked the appointment and when I showed up and showed the stylist what I wanted, she told me that she wouldn't be able to do it for the price I had booked because it was not a single process color, but a full highlight. Ok, it's an extra 10$, but ultimately that was fine. Except she then proceeded to tell me she wouldn't have time to give me the full highlight and could only give me a partial highlight. Very disappointing, but ultimately understandable. She THEN continued to tell me she would need to charge me an extra 25$ for toner. Omg, now this getting ridiculous. My natural hair isn't even that dark, it's a light brown. This cut hasn't even started and I'm already feeling like crap about it. I should've just asked for my money back and walked out after that, but I had my heart set on this look for my photos, so I just said it was fine. I sat in awkward silence in an extremely overcrowded salon for about an hour after that while she put in the highlights. This lady was so unfriendly she never even gave me her name, but I believe it was Melissa S based off the business photos. Overall, the completed look was pretty underwhelming and not really what I asked for, but I didn't hate it. I wanted layers and I can't really tell they're there, and the color doesn't really suit me and is totally off from what I asked for, but I didn't look horrible. I'm not much of a complainer so I just said it was fine once again. Then I started to realize I was really being ripped off when she started unbuttoning the cover after blow drying my hair. Um, excuse me? I asked her if she was just not going to style my hair, because it had been part of what I was paying for. She told me that blow drying my hair was the styling. Listen. This isn't my first time getting my haircut. Blow drying is not the same as styling. The package I purchased said, word for word, "One women's haircut, partial highlights, deep condition, blow-dry, and style." Blow drying my hair and leaving it completely straight is NOT what I paid for. I tried to argue this point and even showed her the wording but she kept insisting she "didn't have time" because her next customer would be there "I'm about 5 minutes." I felt so cheated and rushed out the door. She couldn't even take an extra 5 minutes to give my hair a quick little twist. I'm now stuck at home debating between having to go out and get it styled somewhere else and spend even more money or just calling off my maternity photos entirely. My hair looks so bland and lifeless, and I don't know how to curl it myself. I've never been so undervalued and disrespected, and to top it all off, I'm heartbroken that my photos won't turn out the way I wanted them to. Please avoid this place at all costs. They just want your money and to rush you out the door to get their next paycheck. What an awful experience. Pictures are of what I asked for vs what I got. This is a small studio and feels very homey and had plenty of parking on the street and also a small lot with a few spots on the side. There are two styling rooms for both Daphne and Katie and it's airy and breezy and feels relaxed. Katie was busy so I chatted with Daphne (my first time meeting her) who was so chatty and friendly and welcoming that I immediately felt at home. They had some drinks and coffee and refreshments inside in case I wanted a snack and we easily chatted for a few minutes while Katie finished up with her other appointment. I had my usual, a cut and partial color (blonde highlights) and they're gorgeous. There is a nice bathroom space and a shampoo room with two shampoo stations. All is well-kept and clean and I loved the small, easy-going vibe. Once the schedule issues are nailed down it will be awesome!

My appointment started about 10 minutes late as she finished with her previous client. Non of that happened. Zoey was great. She took her time and listened to my wants, concerns and even showed me 2ways to style my new cut. I am however saddened by the receptionist. Even while waiting to been seen neither of them were really connected with customers. Heads were down, never let me know that the stylist would be with me shortly or offered anything to drink...I noticed when Zoey took me back to wash my hair there was a coffee station and also a water cooler. This was after all my first time there, which they new from my appointment as they had asked when it was booked.
