I have been going to Ashley for about 1 1/2 years and she never disappoints. Ashley just opened Salon Sycamore and the decor and atmosphere is modern & relaxing. Ashley is the highlights queen! She is great at blending multiple colors of blonde through my hair for a beautiful finish. I always get compliments on how well the colors blend together. The thing I like most about her services is her ability to listen to what you want and realistically set expectations on what color will come out the 1st time, the maintenance, ect. Knowing what you're getting yourself into or know thing that it will take 2-3 appointments to get your hair to a certain color is crucial. I can't tell you how many salons I've been to where I show a picture, they say they can do it & then I leave disappointed because it doesn't look like the photo. THIS NEVER HAPPENS WITH ASHLEY. I wish I could give Ashley more stars. She is so professional, talented and owns this adorable establishment. Getting a new hairstylist is scary, but when I moved into town from Long Beach, where I absolutely loved my stylist, she made me feel so much better. She not only cuts and dyes my hair regularly, she isn't afraid to give her opinion (professional and/or personal) when it comes to what I should do with my mop and explains what she's doing every step of the way. Just from talking to her during my appointment, I could tell she had a lot of experience working with different styles and face shapes, which is great because sometimes I don't know what kind of style I want. She took my dull, straight, jagged hair and gave it cute, stylish layers and character! I am still squealing about it! Ashley is also very friendly and a heartwarming person to talk to. I recently had an appointment with the owner Ashley. She is very nice and welcoming. The salon is super cute and clean. Due to Covid-19, she immediately asked me to wash my hands and took my temperature. It was a relief to know the salon is taking all necessary precautions. In addition, there was no one else during my appointment, which is a plus during a pandemic. I want to mention how beautiful and healthy she left my hair. I went in with black box dyed hair and went lighter. I know how long and tedious the process is but Ashley made sure to take care of my hair gently. She really knows her stuff. I love Ashley and her beautiful salon that she built with love with her own bare hands. After getting a bad cut and color somewhere else, I was really hesitant to let anyone go near my hair. Ashley was very conservative the first couple times and won my trust over!! My hair is super long, very thick, and takes hours to color but Ashley is so patient with me. She has super cool mid century mod furniture you can lounge around on while your color sets. Ash always makes sure I'm comfortable. Hair color turned out so amazing. I couldn't be happier with it. ASHLEY literally rescued my hair. It was so bad I was afraid to get it done out of fear of damaging it even further. Last person that did my hair totally wrecked it. I was so healthy but ended up being the worst. I couldn't stand my hair any longer and saw the card for Salon Sycamore on the counter of my brow salon. So glad I chose this place. Blown away that she was able to fix my hair. I almost cried. Reason I decided to make an appt: the cool decor. Super impressed with her style. I am so glad I found this salon. I had my hair done by Ashley she was great! She gave advice on my haircut, since the cut I had before was a bad cut. She fixed it, and cut it the way I wanted it. I should start by saying I seldom write reviews, but Ashley's experience and the service she provides at Salon Sycamore is unrivaled - and I've been to MANY hair salons! A few years ago I suffered a fairly traumatic reaction to hair dye which left me hospitalised. Since then, I had lost hope in ever being able to color my hair again. After a number of intimidating and unsuccessful attempts with other salons, I read that Kevin Murphy's Color.Me products are PPD free and that this could be a potential solution to my early greys! I found Ashley and Salon Sycamore after a google search online and what an awesome decision that turned out to be!! When I arrived, I candidly shared my experience to Ashely, who went out of her way to make me feel instantly at ease. She immediately built my confidence and it was clear she understood her products, the chemicals used and the options we had to get my hair looking rich and healthy again! I still avoid using a toner, but I am so delighted with the results! Ashley takes extra time and care with my highlights, which always takes her well over her usual hours and into her evening! Amazing!!! I've been wanting to go dark red from dirty blonde for years but never had the nerve or someone I could trust to do it.
