She listens to your requests and provides full transparency in the outcome. If she believes there may be some obstacles in getting to your vision, she gives you some alternative options that would maintain the integrity of your hair. Best thing you could do for your colored hair vision is to text her for a free consultation! I've been getting my hair done by Vidalia since 2019 and I can't see myself going to anyone else. I had super dark brown hair and was dreaming of going into a dark purple. I found her profile on Instagram and instantly knew I could trust her with my hair. Since then, she's taken me from purple to burgundy, then to half pink / half purple, then to purple, then to teal, then to green. Just recently, my impulsive self wanted to stray away from green and go into my soft pink era. I knew this would be mission as the two colors are on opposite ends of the color wheel. Since I've been going to her salon for a couple of years, I felt comfortable enough asking her if she could help get me there knowing how crazy this request sounded. Vidalia's response was fully transparent, and she expressed that this may be a difficult transition as the mint green would be hard to get rid of. What I love is that besides being honest in her work, she also said she would be willing to try as long as I was open to possibly having a different color. I went into this already knowing my request was crazy so I was fully open to leaving with a different color such as purple. I went in for a color consultation so she could do a strand test. Following the test, the mint green was still very visible, so she gave me a breakdown with my two options including the process to get to each result and the cost breakdown. Option 1 was to transition back to a purple and it would take 1 day to complete. Option 2 was for her to attempt to get me to a soft pink as much as possible, BUT it was going to take 2 days to complete. The first day would involve 2 sessions of color remover and the second day would be the bleach and dye process. I went with option 2 knowing the soft pink wasn't guaranteed. Let's just say I am in love with the outcome! I was fully aware there was a high possibility I would not end up with the soft pink I wanted throughout, but Vidalia got me as close as she possibly could while still keeping my hair's health a priority. I KNOW she did her best to get me as close as possible because she was working like a mad scientist (in the best way possible) with all of the concoctions she was creating to try to get rid of the mint green. Ultimately, I love my result and couldn't have been in better hands! I'm glad Vidalia has Jesse as her support because they work so effortlessly together and make a great team. Still stand by my positive review, the only critique I can provide is responsiveness. I tried to set up a follow up a couple times but felt like I had to double text or reach out more than once for a response. I tried to ask if there were preferred hours to be contacted at for booking. Because I felt like I was asking more than once, it kind of put me off, which could just be me. Stylists are busy and I want to respect everyone's time and craft but also I want to feel like a valued client. I ended up going elsewhere which kinda bummed me out since I was happy with the initial result and vibes. Maybe I just need to communicate more, but I would've preferred more direct booking. This review is long overdue, but better late than never. After an extensive search for a salon or stylist that specializes in vivid colors, I came across Viscous Streak Salon and instantly became obsessed with Vadelia's work. I was always of the mindset that "it's just hair, it will grow back" until I let my cousin bleach my hair and I went from having healthy waist length hair to having to chop it off to my chin due to how severe the breakage was. I set up a consultation and the entire process was seamless and we instantly clicked. I appreciated how honest Vadelia was when advising the best colors and lift to achieve as to not further damage my hair so I set up an appointment to go red since I trusted I was in amazing hands. Boy was I right! Day of the appointment I was greeted by Jessie (her assistant) and loved his style and vibe. They went to work, meticulously bleaching my roots, applying a filler and toner before making me the most gorgeous shade of red. Best of all, I didn't lose any hair during the bleaching process! They took their time and made sure my hair came out nice and healthy. Plus, the conversation was always flowing between us and other clients. I can't recommend this salon enough! It was totally worth the 30 minute drive for me, so don't think twice and reach out for the hair of your dreams. What a beautiful place to get your hair or nails done! There's even a barber!! Everyone there was professional but also friendly and my stylist Christy made my hair look prettier than it has ever been. She even gave me helpful hints on how to style it myself!! I got a full weave and you'd never know that I'm a brunette anymore and it looks totally natural!! I've been coming to see Vidalia a couple times now and I always leave really excited with my hair. What attracted me to her salon was that it was listed as LGBT+ friendly on Yelp. At the time I was looking for a new salon this was super important to me because of past experiences, so I really appreciated that. The first service I got from her was a cut and a keratin treatment in the summer of 2021. She made sure to question me about what I knew about it and sent more information about it before anything was confirmed. In general, Vidalia checks in a lot during the appointment and it seems like she knows exactly what I want, which I can only attribute to her skill and experience (I can be pretty unclear sometimes due social anxiety). The cut and the keratin treatment alone came out to $310, with the tip it ended up at $370. This was before her prices went up, but it was worth it. The treatment kept my hair silky and frizz-free for about 5 months, though it would have lasted longer if I washed my hair less often, which she had informed me about, but that summer was really hot, so I washed my hair more than I should have to cool down every night. I came back a year later in 2022 for a cut. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she explained what the person in the photo had and how she would go about cutting my hair for a similar style. Again, she checks in a lot during the appointment, making sure the length was what I wanted. She's quick, but thorough. This ended up at $72 total ($60 cut + tip) I came back again a couple months later for another cut (same price and total as last time). This time I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and get something more mullet-like. This was probably the best cut I've ever gotten. I love how it looked after and even now as it's growing out it looks super good. And now I've just gotten back from a bang trim (which are free) and again, I'm super satisfied. I haven't seen her in a while, but she said she remembered that I like my hair to be "piecey," which was a nice surprise. Needless to say, I'm gonna be coming back for whatever I wanna do to my hair. Note to anyone with anxiety: the salon is small and seats 2 about clients. It'll be the first suite in the right hallway once entering the building. It's pretty relaxing in there because she has so many plants and you get to feel a comfortable warmth from the sun because of the large windows. If you had an emo phase (or never grew out of it) the music she plays will make you feel right at home. read more

The only reason I am leaving a 2 star review is that Vidalia never actually did my hair... I spent 15 minutes tops at her salon for a consultation. I told her I hadn't visited a salon in over 3 years, and I was a little bit anxious due to my past experiences with hair stylists. She gave me options, recommendations, pricing. I liked that she provided me with some education about her process. She even offered a strand test, which is something no one had even done before. (I went to 4 other consultations before her) She recommended I go home and think about everything she had told me and reach out to her when I decided on what I wanted. I really thought that she seemed very passionate about her craft, and was willing to provide some education to help bring some ease of mind. I chose her because she seemed to be the most knowledgeable. When I reached out to her about making an appointment for a strand test, which she recommended at our consultation, she told me that she wasn't the right stylist for me, she was uncomfortable with doing my hair, and she thought we wouldn't come to an understanding. I am confused to say the least... **** (sorry, I never post reviews so I don't even know how to reply to the owner's comments) If I contacted her after our consultation it was because I thought about the information that was provided to me and was willing to compromise and take her advice in order to do what was healthiest for my hair. I genuinely thought that she was going to be the best person to help me in my hair journey. Also, I assumed getting multiple hair consultations was a good thing in order to find the right hair stylist for me, apparently that's not a good thing. I haven't visited a salon in years and I've only ever been to a salon about 3 times in my life. I'm inexperienced in this subject. I was very anxious about this whole process... and now, after reading all the comments on her IG post about this...
