I didn't even realize this wonderful salon was across the street from my eye health vision wear. Until that one day I happen to look up over my phone and noticed the salon across the way,It was the best surprise everrrr! When you enter the salon The ladies greet you upon arrival and make you feel right at home. I went home and told my daughter all about the salon. After my toe polish change, my shoes were taken and I was directed to walk barefoot across the salon to my manicure. Once seated and as my manicure was about to begin, my bare feet remained on the tile floor until I finally asked for the disposable flip-flops that every other customer was given. There was no apology. It was uncomfortable and honestly concerning from a cleanliness and safety standpoint. At checkout, I purposely asked about tipping through debit as I was paying and was told I could leave a tip on the card. I receive the receipt with no tip line. I ask again where I'm supposed to tip and was now told Venmo or cash. By that point, the employee had already started helping the customer behind me without giving me the Venmo username. Now, I'm kind of baffled and told her I was just running to the restroom while she finished with the customer and I just needed some cash broken for tip. When I came back out, my nail technician was standing near the doorway with other employees watching me as if they thought I was trying to leave without tipping. As someone who has been a repeat long time customer who always tipped 30%, that was incredibly insulting. For the first time, I left a much smaller tip than I normally would because of how I was treated. I left feeling embarrassed, rushed and shocked. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
