Usually go for gel manicures and gel pedicures. The pedicures are fine and I will continue coming here for just that. The manicure on the other hand is a hit or miss (and it usually misses). Nail tech left the acetone on for too long and I had dry, flaky skin on my fingers for a week! Super uncomfortable. The shape is always questionable too. I stopped going to my regular nail salon "nails today" in Westport, MA because it was a hit or miss. I started going to diamond nails and my nails would last twice as long. The nail techs I would have weren't very personable. Some would wear headphones and there was no chatting but I'm fine with that. So why would I give a 3 if everything is so good? Reason number 1: The last time I went will be the last time. It may not be a big deal to some people but they charged me an extra $5 because she said my cuticles were "bad". For one give me a break. They need to cut the cuticles regardless and it comes with the manicure. I have been getting my nails done for 16 years. Never have I ever been charged extra for "bad cuticles". She kept trying to sell me on the dip instead of the gel repeatedly. She told me it was $40 so I said.. so only $5 more for the dip? She told me it will be $45 for me. So I paid $35 for a gel manicure plus $5 tip. I shouldn't have even tipped for that silly up charge. Reason number 2: They hassled me because I only had a debit card. The time I went before they took cards but now they don't. Now that I know I have no problem showing up with cash but there was nothing saying cash only. No sign on the door or around anywhere. I had no cash so they had a card reader and used it for me. I assume they don't want cards used because it does cost the business money to swipe a card. Also it is better to use cash because there's nothing to prove what they make and better for tax reasons. You can claim you make a lot less. To wrap it up I gave a 3 because you will walk out happy with your nails. However for me, they left a bad taste in my mouth with how pushy they can be for more expensive services and that ridiculous up charge. Go to Salon V Nails and Spa. It is right up the road from this place. The owners name is Van. She is the best . You can show her any photo of a design and she will copy it exactly. She takes cards and would never up charge you for nonsense! I hope that $5 was worth it Diamond Nails because you lost a customer over it!! read more

One of best nail salons around. They are consistent and honor your appointment time. The pedicure is good and they do a nice job with calluses. I've been a few times for a pedi and gel mani, and been very impressed every time. I haven't made appointments, and gone midday on weekends, and never waited more than 15 minutes. They have a good selection of colors, in both gel and regular. I've gotten the spa pedicure, which includes a lot for the cost. It usually takes at least an hour though, but is well worth the time commitment! read more

I've been going to the salon for years! I've been to many nail salons, and these folks rock! Please check them out before trusting the negative reviews. I have acrylic nails, they are very careful with the fills and always tell me when one needs to be replaced to avoid infection, they are on it. They are also very gentle with the buffer. I have never bled as in other salons. I have also had pedicures there. Again, awesome! If the water isn't the right temp, let them know. They will add hot or cold water as needed. Not everyone is used to the same temp, you need to tell them your preference. They give a great peddie! Spa is my choice, but regular is great too! Check them out they are great! read more

went in for an appointment booked for me and my friends, we all got the same thing done except both were done a half hour before me! Just dip on natural nails. one girl kept checking in the girl doing my nails Nd when she couldn't someone else kept checking in her and made her get up so she could fix something. My nails are cut so short they hurt and i asked for them to be kept long. They refused to do more than 2 coats of powder and the polish is missing spots and has a couple holes in the polish. I called Back when i got home to see if the manager was there because she was busy when i was there. Not worth the money, awful looking nails. Bad customer service. I will not return read more

This place is not a place to go if you want your appointments validated in a timely manor. Have been coming here for over a yr and the last few months their work is less than good, nails break off by the next day and for $70-80 a pop it's way too much to pay for something that should last 2 weeks or more. Outstanding! I had an acrylic fill and I must say they are one of the best nail salons I have gone into. I am in the beauty industry, I'm very particular, I know what I want and I know what's right from what's wrong. I have no idea why this is not been reviewed before. This nail salon is very clean and it is a family run business. The only issue that I felt was the technician that serviced me had a bit of an attitude. Thank goodness I found Diamond Nails. After a solid two years of searching, I have finally found a permanent home for my tips and toes. Diamond Nails has a spacious, well-maintained salon in a Westport strip mall and it is worth dealing with the shared parking lot and lack of available walk-in appointments to get a treatment there. Diamond Nails is hygienic, affordable, has a personable staff, and a comfy waiting area in the back to seat you if you arrive early for appointments. I was so pleased with my holiday gel manicure that the owner gave me that when it was done I booked an appointment for the next week to get a pedicure. If you too are sick of crazy mall nail salons with inconsistent service, make an appointment at Diamond Nails instead! read more

Unfortunately I wouldn't go back. Went in with pictures of what I wanted. And it wasn't complicated. But they gave me something completely different. They didn't color the side of my nails (left holidays). They cut the cuticles which they aren't supposed to do, and cut my skin in the process. If you happen to move your hand they'll jerk it back which is extremely rude. Really wouldn't recommend it. read more

I have been a client of Lyn"s for 15 plus years and I can't say enough great things about her and her salon. It is always clean and well maintained. I call to make an appt because walk-ins are not always available and I am usually in her chair within 5 minutes of my appt. The owners are very friendly. Their work is always great and if you are not happy with the color or maybe the shape, they fix it, no problem. I have been to many other places and not one has ever come close to the great service I receive here. As for the complaints about the chipped polish, they should try to put a top coat of clear on that same day , even though they put one on for you. I find my color lasts much longer when I do that. read more

The nail techs are friendly! The owner on the other hand is so rude. She doesn't even ackowledge you when you walk in or when you leave she doesn't say thank you. She talks in her native language to the other techs and looks at you like she's talking about you. She is just rude. I don't usually complain but she needs to change her attitude especially owning the place! Like I said earlier, the other nail techs are very friendly and sweet. Based on the positive reviews I read here, I booked an appointment for myself and my daughter. Being a Saturday, it was very busy. However, we did not feel very welcome when we walked in. The technician who did my daughter's mani and pedi was quite thorough. However, when he was done, he left her sitting in the pedi chair until I asked another person if she could come over and join me at the nail dryer. My technician seemed to have an attitude. He was very fast and seemed careless. He did not use a toe separator when he did the pedi and then bumped into my freshly painted toes. We were not moved from the pedi chairs to the manicure tables for our nails. There were open tables, but our nails were done at the pedi table. My technician did my nails in maybe a minute? Holding them in the air. I have been to many nail salons and that was a definite first. Also, they spoke to each other in their own language and knowing a little of that language, it was not nice. He spoke very sharply to me too! My pedicure looked ok. My fingernails are blotchy and uneven. What a waste of money. Not at all relaxing but unpleasant and stressful. We'll never go back. read more

This nail salon does not honor the appointments made. For my daughter's wedding, I called the salon 2 weeks ahead of time to make specific appointments for 4 of us. When we arrived, we were told to pick a color, and wait. They started our first appointment 40 minutes after the time we had made the appointment for (we had a day filled with other appointments and this already delayed us). No excuses, no reasons, no explanations, not even a smile. We were all in a good mood. After all, we were preparing for a wedding the next day! I shared that with 2 of the nail techs who saw us, and neither of them acknowledged, smiled or even looked at me while I was talking. So, in addition of the untimely "service"and the rudeness throughout, 3 out of 4 of our manicures were chipped the next day! The day of the wedding! We had to scramble to get them fixed elsewhere.
