Awesome liquor store. The owner is friendly, talkative and helpful. There's a nice selection of beers and wines. I came here just to get some crafts beers from the local breweries. I ended up with a smooth and rich porter. 5 stars for the cool owner and good variety of products. read more

Sal's is a great small business liquor store, and I stop here frequently for craft beer. It's not the largest craft selection on the planet (haven't seen Revolution or Good City Brewing here yet), but I can usually find new crafts to try. I've been patronizing this business for over 10 years. And honestly thought the guy was a nice guy . We would talk sports and different things. But yesterday was different. My daughter was with and he didn't have what she wanted. The shelves and coolers are pretty bare. So I said we were going to stop at woodmans. And the guy lost his mind. Started saying I insulted him. And to get the fu$$. Out of his store. It was the weirdest thing ever. He made some other stupid immature comments. I took the high road and just left. But I will never spend another dollar at this goofs store. My friends and family including my son who was in the store as well. all live close to this liquor store and I can guarantee none of them will shop here again. I would drive 20 miles out the way for drinks and pay triple before ever stepping foot in this store again."! And if you read this review. Take all 25 of your 6 packs and put them in 1 cooler maybe then it will look like you actually got beer!!!! read more

I use Yelp weekly to find local businesses since I travel for work, and this is the first time I've been compelled to write a review. Stopped in to get a 6-pack, and Sal was the coolest. Got some good beer and had a great conversation. read more

5 stars in EVERY department! Sal is there EVERYDAY with a smile and helping hand! He takes the time out to really offer you full service. Hes very sociable and truly cares about his customers. He has a good selection of wine and beer!! He always has some new selections every season. I enjoy that because it gives me the chance to try out new things. I feel his prices are very competitive with other stores in the area. I find myself driving that extra 4mins to give Sal my business rather then anywhere else!! I love to support GOOD businesses and THIS is one of them!!! read more

We love coming here. Sal is one of the kindest and friendliest people you will ever meet. He makes you feel like a guest in his home, and he even remembers my name and what type of beer I drink! He is starting to get more of a craft beer selection which is much appreciated. Sal is very intuitive as to what his customers want and will go out of his way to make sure that you are happy. Although Woodman's is close by and have better prices, I always go to Sal's and pay a little bit more because of the excellent service I get. I truly believe in supporting local/small businesses and Sal's is definitely worth it! read more

Although this is a bit far from my home, it's conveniently located near my work so I can pick up items after work. The liquor department is probably one of the biggest I've ever seen with many allocated items behind the counter and occasional raffles for the more rare allocations. The carts are big and noisy but I'll use the "small" ones if I can find one. The store can be overwhelming the first couple of times but eventually you get used to the layout. Woodmans is always busy but with the selection and prices, it's easy to see why. And even with the amount of product and people that pass through here, it's well kept and clean. My favorite departments are probably the huge produce and dairy department. Woodman's will continue to be a place I stop at for groceries and other goodies!

The self-checkouts are consistently a problem. Very few are ever working and the ones that are are…read morenever fully functional. They either don't register that items have been placed on the belt or the card reader doesn't work. An employee said they just put in their 2-week notice because they're constantly having to deal with the broken machines and angry customers. Another issue is the app only has the correct aisle location for items about 50% of the time yet the store is always making announcements about using the app to find items.

I was again charged $2.99 but got a receipt and took it back. 3rd visit I promised a friend I would get her some to convince her the short drive to this store is worth it. I had my 1.5yr old, placed the cans on the counter so I could keep a hold on my child and waited in line. As it was my turn another man walked in as I told the cashier those are my cans. He said he was going to help the other guy who just walked in before me. When I asked him why he proceeded to asssist the man who just walked in after I waited in line he told me because he can't understand the customer. I told him if I could find these somewhere else I would have walked out right then. The cashier snipped do you want me to ring you up? I took a business card and intended to call Monday to inform the manager of my experience. When I got home I looked at the receipt and he charged me for one extra can. When I called the store back he was yelling at me telling me he didn't have to service me at all. I told him the black and white I was calling about was he charged me for more product than I even had on the counter. Then he asked me if I wanted him to walk to my house to refund me. 3/3 I was over charged and it is my responsibility to waste gas and time to return to the store to get $ they over charged me. The young man named will that was working had what appeared to be his girlfriend behind the counter and two male friends sitting and hanging out on the other side of the counter. It's no surprise that he feels a level of comfort that he can treat people so rudely! I do NOT recommend this place at all! Clearly they do not know how to manage pricing and employ unprofessional people that drive away revenue.

When I got to the register, the total didn't match the prices on the tags. I politely pointed it out, thinking it was probably just a mistake. Instead of checking or apologizing, he got defensive immediately, insisting the price was correct even though the tag clearly said otherwise. When I pushed back and asked him to double check, he raised his voice, started talking over me, and acted like I was accusing him of something criminal instead of just asking a simple question. Other customers in line were visibly uncomfortable. I ended up paying just to get out of there, but I've lost this shop as a customer for good. I'd genuinely warn anyone nearby to be careful with this place -- between the attitude and the pricing discrepancy, it's not worth the hassle. No matter how good the meat is, that kind of treatment and lack of honesty isn't something I'm willing to put up with again.
