I am SO GLAD I found Sal's Windshield Repair. Last month, I spent $900 having my windshield replaced because of a stone that hit my window and split all way across. I went to a windshield replacement store in League City and got it fixed after they first came to me with the wrong windshield! UGH! Wouldn't you know it, I got another stone this week! I called my friendly Toyota Dealer here in Galveston and talked to George. I asked him if there was an alternative to going to League City. He recommended Sal's, so I called for an appointment and got one the next day. $50 later my windshield is fixed. Sal warned me it might not take as the stone hit in a way that usually ends up in a split across the window (again! sigh!). But the fix is there at least temporarily and he said if it starts to split to bring it back and he'll try to patch again at no charge. So I'm hoping to at least postpone the inevitable as long as I can! Sal's is the place to go if you get a chipped window! HIGHLY recommended. read more

Got a rock chip in the windscreen on the way into Galveston this year and Sal was recommended by the glass place that no longer does auto glass. I called and got an appointment that was within 1.5 hours of my call (instead of 1.5 days) and he had the work done in about a half hour. We had to take it slow because the chip was in a very precarious spot and was really wanting to spread towards the edge of the windscreen but he got it done and saved us hundreds versus having the windscreen replaced. 100% recommended! read more

My daughter windshield got chipped yesterday on her way back to Galveston. I did some looking at where on the island she could get it fixed. I ran across reviews for Sal's here on Yelp and on Google that were excellent. I was a bit reluctant as Sal works out of his house, but after calling and speaking with him, my concerns were eased. I called at around noon and Sal asked me to have my daughter stop by at 2pm. I heard back from my daughter that both Sal and the repair were great. read more

Apparently there are only two places to get your windshield repaired in Galveston. Luckily I picked the right one. Awesome work, awesome guy! My daughter's RAV4 window got hit by a huge rock, bigger than 50 cent piece, two holes and started to star out in several places. Several other places said it couldn't be fixed and I would need new windshield; goodbye $400!! Sal said "no problem, bring it over after work"-after hours too BTW, and he would take care of her. This guy is awesome. I had two chips that were connected to each other. I didn't want them to turn into cracks. I contacted him nervously as I have never gone somewhere to repair a windshield before. I had no trouble reaching him over the phone. Every time I called, he quickly answered. I was able to set up an appointment at a convenient time on the same day! Meeting with Sal was very pleasant. There was no time waiting on him. He was very prompt and greeted me with a smile. Sal took his time fixing my windshield. He let me sit in the car and listen to my music while he was working. I was able to see everything he was doing and I could tell that he was very experienced. The finished product was something greater than I had anticipated. I went to see Sal for an 18 inch long crack in my windshield. He was very knowledgeable about the repairs and explained everything that could be done. I am fairly familiar with crack repair and just needed the crack to stop growing (do not have the budget to replace the windshield). The crack is less noticeable and has not grown since the repair.
