This diner is very unprofessional and did not give any expectation of service. They stated that it would be quick service, but unfortunately it was not. After speaking with the waiter and also the manager, she stated she was sorry and would see what she could do. After another 35 minutes of waiting the bust boy/waiter/ who knows told us he doesn't know why the waiter would seat people without telling them that the wait would be over an hour. To me the service is unacceptable and completely disrespectful to patrons. I would not give this company my money again. Edit: I respectfully talked to the owner and let her know that we had waited over an hour for our service and that if it wasn't delivered within the next 10 minutes that I could not justify paying for that meal. It then took another 30 minutes to get food and attempt to eat it. Then upon checking out I let the cashier know my concerns with the service, she said she would speak to the manager. The "manager" also our server, said thanks have a great night comping our food. That was not the intent, it was to receive acceptable service. Food is solid as always, the drinks are fantastic, but in the last year it seems as though wait times for food have gotten longer and the staff isn't quite as great as they used to be. Still a good spot to eat, but you won't be in and out in 30 minutes anymore. read more

Salsa mexican restaurant has very best Mexican food chicken enchiladas I ever had awesome

Warm, fresh chips, excellent salsa (and I eat ALOT of Tex mex). Margaritas- frozen and freaking delicious. My lime was perfect wife had strawberry and loved it. We also had queso fundido which was excellent. Didn't order a meal just there for margarita and an app but plan on returning again and again! Also, our server was very nice and very attentive, got refills of salsa and margaritas before they were gone. Highly recommend this place. read more

Salsas is a very poor excuse for a restaurant. I usually do NOT go here but my sister invited me, so .... I ordered chicken quesadilla and it was folded over like a taco and I pored grease out of it for a minute at least. I ate half of it. That's all I could do. I'm no stranger to Mexican food, I've had it everywhere and in particular, all over Mexico. So let's keep this short and sweet. This is THEE worst Mex I've had, EVER. The food came out about four minutes after we ordered and was clearly microwaved. My supposed-to-be crispy chimichanga was soft, mushy, and gross. The tamale was gelatinous and lukewarm. I ordered two margaritas and neither of them had tequila in them. I would go on but I won't waste my time, just like they didn't waste anytime bringing me out gross food. My wife and I were on our honeymoon in Gamaliel and stopped in here after failing to find the new location of the Blue Pig grill (they list a road on their old place's sign, but not where on that road, which stretches about eight miles). Absolutely delicious! I had the Loco Burrito and my wife had the Fajita Quessadilla Rellenos. While we waited, we feasted on fresh flavorful salsa and scrumptious sopapillas. Once the food arrived, my wife was in heaven. The chicken in her meal was flavorful and tender and the tortilla wrapping it was just right. Me, my Loco Burrito was coated in a flavorful white cheese sauce that left my mouth watering with each bite and the steak was quite nice. Prices were cheap, with the two of us filling ourselves for a little under $16 total and our waiter was extremely attentive. We're only visiting, but we'll treasure the memory of our meal here. read more

Very unhappy! Our food was ordered as we walked in the door and we took it with us got home we're missing a bunch of stuff called on the phone they were going to make it right and they were going to actually deliver it to us because we couldn't get back in there everything that they brought came cold they didn't reheat nothing they didn't remake nothing I asked for cheese sauce they gave me a very small amount of shredded cheese and replace of it all of my food was cold. I find it utterly ridiculous that they would do something like that knowing that they're going to have a customer who's going to be upset. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again. One problem : No color No flavor Bland tasting I'm pretty sure we don't spend our money to go out an get some microwaved enchiladas or canned refried beans it so seems to be. They should know salt is their friend. It could just be me, But I can guarantee the food is bland an hardly no taste. The two times I went their was hardly anyone their. So why would it take 10minutes for the waiter to come to my table to get me a drink? If theirs no one their? Service was slow The food came right out with in minutes. My business colleague and i tried this while in town and it came "mentioned" by a local. The food was ok - a little bland but not bad. My chicken was tough. The salsa was just ok as well. Honestly, the worst part was the service. The lady took our order in a reasonable time but everything after that was ridiculous. We ran out of drinks, chips and salsa before the meal arrived and no one came by to refill until we stopped an employee - not our waitress. In general we had to catch whomever we could that was passing by to get service. Finally we literally had to ask them if we could pay so we could leave. BLECH. My husband picked this up to-go so I can't speak for the ambiance or cleanliness of the restaurant, but I can tell you how disappointed the food was. I got veggie fajitas. My husband got the chicken & shrimp fajitas. Both were disappointing. The veggies were over cooked and under spiced. The chicken was tough. The shrimp was pretty yuck (given we're pretty far from the ocean so expectations are pretty low there). The rice was flavorless. The beans didn't taste like beans. And the salsa was NASTY. Weird for a place named Salsa's. The only decent part of the meal was my daughter's cheese quesadilla, but how do you mess that up - cheese & a flour tortilla. Several restaurants have come and gone out of that location over my lifetime. I think this one has been around a little while, but with food like that, I don't think it will last. read more

Bland food, rude waiter, lousy margarita and an uninvited dinner guest, (Mr Cockroach)! I placed my order and then asked if the dish came with rice and beans. The waiter replied if it doesn't say it on the menu, then no...as he was walking away to the next person to take their order. Before dinner came, we encountered an uninvited dinner guest. Yep, a cockroach running across the table. And, the margarita? I'm thinking they tequila was watered down, because there was no hint of alcohol in our drinks. The meal tasted good but about 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant I had to pull over to a vacant parking lot and throw up(several times) and then had to rush home to get to a bathroom. 4 stars relative to other restaurants in area. Was in town from los Angeles. Dad likes Letty's but I wanted to try anything else. This was convenient and open on a Sunday and served beer. Host became server. He did not speak English. No worries. Might have been his first day on the job, and maybe first day waiting tables. Our worked out fine. I had pollo pepe, chicken breast served in a skillet topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms and then chorizo. Very good and a dish I've never heard of. Had both the refried and ranchero beans, both great. Rice very good. Guacamole bland and watery. Flour tortillas decent. Dad had a steak fajita quesadillas. He said steak was great as well as veggies inside. Overall great experience. Service needs attention. I understand the Liga finals were on but it seemed like all tables were getting left behind. read more

For me its mainly the service. I can actually not stress enough but be professional and polite. The last few times going the service has been awful and rude. We haven't been able to get refills for our drinks. The waiter that served us is either a smartass, rude, or both. I personally wouldn't recommend anyone to go here. There is a full-service bar in the back that makes excellent margaritas. They also have excellent wine free Mexican restaurant.
