The chips and salsa were good but it went downhill from there. After over an hour wait, the server brought part of out food and it was not hot and had no seasoning at all - the steak and chicken had no flavor and we did not eat it. This has got to be the most authentic mexican restuarant in all mountain home since I've tried them all. The beans & rice are always on point! Favorite dish is the seafood enchiladas! Would recommend to just about anyone. Or the Carnitas cooked in salsa that way they don't come out so dry. Then the top it open their micheladas are awesome! read more

My family and I love this place. We go here frequently and the food is always good. The carnitas are delicious, and the shrimp cocktail is out of this world good. Decent food, very friendly staff. Stopped initiallly at El Charro but they don't have a liquor license and was really in the mood for a margarita. The salsa was a bit disappointing, seems to use a canned tomato sauce base but that didn't stop us from finishing the entire basket of chips and container of dip. Ordered the Delicious Cancun which had a nice mix of strips of steak and chicken, and shrimp with veggies in a white sauce. read more

So glad we found this on our way to the Chili's..... I was surprised that it wasn't listed in Yelp when I was doing a Restaurants search, but when I searched Salsas Grill on internet , a link showed up under ethnic food in Yelp. Anyhow, the salsa was great in my book, as well as the Carnitas plate and the Shrimp Fajitas! Service was wonderful and a real treat to find such good food in this out of the way town. Would not recommend to anyone. Took us right under 2 hours to get our food, and only had 1 refill the whole time. The waiter which ended up being the owner, was very disrespectful and had no courtesy to the customers whatsoever, and avoided us the rest of our time there. Food was soggy and not good. We went to the front counter and told her that we shouldn't have to pay, considering the way they have treated us and how long it took to receive our food. She went and got the owner, our waiter, and told us have a good night and we did not have to pay. When we were walking out, he pushed the door on my sisters hand and then said under his breath "f***ing b**ches". Worst restaurant experience. read more

This is a good place to go ONCE, then never again. Why? Because while other restaurants with busy days still get you your food within a reasonable time, my family had to wait more than a whole hour for our food! Not only that though, my mother contracted food poisoning from her dish, which was a shrimp soup, (or whatever it is called). Having eaten shrimp chimichangas over and over again in at least five counties, today I had the VERY BEST SHRIMP CHIMICHANGAS I have ever had in MY LIFE at Salsa's in Mtn Home, with Adrian waiting our table with great Margaritas and every thing else we needed within minutes if not seconds. My partner had Salsa's Parrilla Fajitas which he said were the best. We have tried every restaurant in Mtn Home, Mexican and otherwise, and this is by far the very best. read more

Absolutely the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. My fiance and I dined at this location for our anniversary and it was anything but edible. We both ordered fajitas and they were incredibly bland. No flavor, no depth, and they were ice cold. The rice we had on the side did not taste fresh, as if it was reheated over and over, and the guacamole was brown. We waited for over an hour for our dinner, and the same can be said for the family that was sat next to us with fussy, hungry children. I had never been so ready to get away from a restaurant in my life. When I complained to the manager, he handed me a 10 dollar certificate and booted me out the door, which would have been fine if my bill was 15 or less. Our bill was 45 including tip, and we only received a portion of that back after leaving our entire meals at the table (we had only taken maybe 2 or 3 bites before deciding to leave). We will not be returning to Salsa Grill. The certificate we received will not be used. Don't waste your time. read more

Staff is friendly. Food is always delicious. It has become my new favorite mexican place.

This is the BEST Mexican food joint in Mt. Home. You get endless chips and salsa. (both are made in house) The white cheese dip is the best I have ever tasted. the service is spectacular. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive and keep your drinks full. The food comes out extremely fast and steaming hot. A full course lunch or dinner for 2 is around 20 bucks and you will have leftovers to enjoy later. If you want to experience some authentic and delicious Mexican food, I recommend you try Salsa's. read more

Where do I even begin? We are from out of town on vacation and went to eat dinner. It was busy, and we were told our wait would be about 15-20 minutes. It took over 20, and when we were finally seated, our waiter took our orders for both food and drinks. Our drinks took forever to come out, and our food took even longer (almost 2 hours) We never got a refill on drinks until the last 20 minutes, which were only half way refilled, and at this point we were angry. Our waiter never came back to check on us, ask how anything was, or to give us our check, we had to find him and get it. We then spoke to the manager (which happened to double our as waiter and probably our cook as well) and did not pay for our meal. It was TERRIBLE service, with mediocre food, and after we were leaving the manager/waiter/cook called us "f***ing b*****s" and slammed the door on my hand. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. So so so disappointed. read more
