We had a wedding rehearsal mix and mingle at the Salt Creek Cider House. It was such a wonderful evening and such a unique place to host a celebration. Grace was amazing greeting our guests and helping them choose a cider. The back patio was perfect. We were able to set up head of time. Guests were able to walk around the venue and take in the pond and ducks, the lovely Oregon sunset and cooler evening. Lively Station catered the lovely meal. It was a magical celebration at one of our favorite places when we visit Dallas Oregon. read more

Great award winning ciders, we tried several and really like the variety and flavors. The staff were informative and eager to serve. Great seating, some in the open outside, some covered, and play areas for families. Enjoyed watching all the waterfowl enjoying the pond. We didn't try any of the snack/food options, hopefully next time. read more

The ciders were good. The location is beautiful. I'm just salty about the fact they didn't offer any water that wasn't in a plastic bottle. It was 85 degrees, the heat of the day, we had been drinking strong ciders and the only option here for hydration is to pay $1 for a plastic bottle of water. Usually places just put out a big water station with glasses. Never been charged for water before except in California. Also I hate buying single use plastics. There are better ways. If I was a local, I probably would have my own water with me. We had been on the road all day visiting family and friends and we just finished all the water we brought with us. Never in a million years expected to be forced to buy a plastic bottle of water from a place that sells hard cider. read more

What a beautiful atmosphere. The owners of the farm are such great people to talk with and are happy to tell you about what made them want to turn to the cider business. Warm and cozy right next to a fun duck pond on the property. These ciders are delicious and we were shown via our snack platter which food items went best with which drink. Nice, quaint cider house off highway 22. It can be hard to miss the turn to the house considering the speed limit and location, so keep your eyes peeled! The lady and I decided to stop by once we saw their sign on the side of the road as we were feeling lucky heading to the casino. However, I missed the turn and had to pull around lol. Anyway, upon entry, the people we're nice. The owner, I believe? was the one tending to our thirst quench behind the counter and explained all of their current varieties since it was our first time visit. We decided to sample all of the flavors except Freedom and Wild. All of the flavors were good and easy to drink. My personal top favorites were the dragons blood and scrumpy. The lady's favorite I believe was the rebel rose? The place has a nice sized pond accompanied by gigantic ducks with plenty of seating outside to take in the view. A small playground is around the corner, in plain site. for kids if parents get thirsty and want to pass some time. We also ran into an old friend that I went to middle and high school with and hadn't seen since so that was cool. Would stop by again! Check them out if you haven't or if you like cider and are on your way to the coast. It's a nice pit stop. read more

Plenty of spacing outdoor with shady coverage to sit and enjoy the cider options. I don't like sweet ciders and there's a good dry option available. Stopped here on way to and from the coast from Salem. Nice place. Nice knowledgeable staff. Several interesting ciders. One favorite of mine is Folklore. It is a standout because it is a dry cider made from cider apples. Since cider began to gain popularity in the last few years, a lot of cider makers make cider from eating/dessert apples. Traditional cider apples are hard to come by. Eating apples tend to not have a lot of flavor once the sugar is fermented away. Traditional cider apples have more complex profiles, beyond sugar. Folklore is made from cider apples. It is dry with complex character, full flavor, and an apple "nose". I brought home a growler jug and it kept well over a few days, with the flavor holding up well and the apple aroma becoming more apparent as the carbonation subsided slightly. This cider was reminiscent of draft ciders I had in UK made of apples such as Kingston black and Yarlington mill, though it is less intense, and less alcoholic. A pint of those would knock me on my keister. Folklore is more moderate. Anyway. Living in socal sadly won't be getting this much. This is especially true, as Folklore is made in small batches and it varies batch to batch based on limited availability of cider apples. Hopefully in the future Cider apples will become more common. read more

We stopped here after hearing about it from friends. We enjoyed their Rebel and Freedom ciders. They're delicious! Highly recommend. They also offered snacks. It's family friendly and will be adding new ciders soon, including marionberry. read more

Whatever you do, do not pass this place up! When the cidery open sign is out please do yourself a favor and stop in. The owners are absolutely wonderful, super friendly and very knowledgeable on the cider they make. My husband and I had the rebel rose and we took a bottle of rebel home. Rebel rose was delicious and not too tart and we are looking forward to opening up our bottle of rebel tonight. I cannot wait to tell everyone I know about this place. I will be back without a doubt! read more

What a gem of a place! Beautiful location, charming decor and ciders for every palate. Grace in the tasting room made us welcome, answered multiple questions and explained the nuances of the various ciders. Best part of the tasting was discovering the different flavors and finding out that good cider isn't that sickly sweet stuff in other stores. We tasted, then bought some to bring home! read more

4 out 5... reason for no 5th star....i go to many ciders all over. The ciders are pretty good. Its the price and the pour. Its disappointing to not get my glass filled to the top. When compared to more known cider companies: tumalo, avid. Two towns portland cider Baumans. The 16 oz pours typically are $5-6 and they fill the glass to the rim. I feel that the prices are slightly higher and you only get 12 oz in a 16 oz glass but advertise a 16oz pour. Thats my only complaint. Fairly new business so hopefully this can be improved. Nice farm if you are wanting a date night in the country. read more
