I've owned a restaurant in downtown Roswell I called this place out years ago for switching meat purveyors on the hanger steak and serving a lower grade meat. You know what happened? It got fixed. I came here years ago and had a subpar experience with a bartender who was too post counting her tips to serve me and my date on a Friday. You know what happened? They changed management. This place is what defines top tier. This place is what it means to deliver consistency in the name of public service. I had eaten here 237 times in a single year. I'm telling you: the menu is not driven by margin. It's driven by experience. I've eaten it all. You'll find a packed bar most nights because the regulars love this place. You'll discover bartenders remembering your drinks, servers remembering how you want your steak cooked, and hostesses knowing you prefer the bar. This is a 5 star experience with 3.5 star prices. Wanted to go somewhere for a late lunch/early dinner for a good burger. We decided on Salt Factory Pub so we could sit outside & have a beer too. We weren't overly hungry, so we ordered the Louisiana Egg-rolls to start, along with our beers. Thought it would taste a little more spicy like Cajun food, but delicious nonetheless. We shared the Southern burger - lettuce, pickles, candied bacon & pimento cheese. Yum!! They were nice enough to split our order on two plates beforehand. Service and food was good, I went expecting sandwiches, but apparently they had already switched to the dinner menu, so my brain had prepared for the sandwich and then had to switch gears when we got there. I had the trout and it was delicious, however, when a plate boasts that it's served with roasted potatoes, you expect there to be a serving size of potatoes. What I had was 3 quarters of a small (think slightly larger than an a golf ball) and I didn't even get a whole golf ball of a potato. Don't get me wrong, the potato was delicious, but there should have at least been 2 small potatoes with the dish. Here for inch passing through. Loved the atmosphere and menu selection ton. I had the fig goat cheese salad which was wonderful. I also had the pork tacos which were also good. The odd thing is one of them was hot, one lukewarm and one cold shells. I did enjoy the hot one. My husband had the burger but he was disappointed as he said it tasted like a frozen burger. The waitress was friendly however she didn't come back to our table while we were eating to see if we needed a beverage which we did. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Place was about 1/2 full. Ordered a couple of beers, the Cajun egg rolls and the southern burger. All food was very good. While the egg rolls are called Cajun, to me, tastes like they were Mexican food inspired. Nothing screamed Cajun to me. We really enjoyed them, but felt a little let down. Would have been a 5 star review but the service was a bit slow, with the table next to us receiving their food before we even received our appetizer. That table was seated 3-5 minutes after us. The ambiance is nice and downtown Roswell is always a good time, though parking can definitely be a little rough. I didn't love my sparkling rosé, but I'm picky, so take that with a grain of salt. WoW service was 5 star, we had a group of 8 and I have to say from seating us to getting drinks and food out was impressive. This tells me the establishment is well staffed and trained. We were all very impressed with both the food and service. We had a couple show up after we ordered and the kitchen was able to get their food out at the same time as the rest of the table. I enjoyed having the trout for dinner however I think the crowd fav with the chicken dinner, a very generous portion. read more

Came out on a week night with the girls for drinks and food. We started out with the Pom Orange martinis so good we ordered a second round. They may not be in the cocktail list but the bar will make them for you. For an appetizer we ordered the egg rolls which were also delicious. The salads are amazing. We all ordered salads. I got the Pecan salad with salmon and I have to say it is one of the best salmon I've ever tasted! Perfectly cooked and deliciously seasoned. Went for the first time last night and had a great experience. The service was outstanding, and even though the restaurant was very busy, there was no wait to seat our family of 5. Chargrilled oysters don't have any chargrilled flavor and we won't order those again. The calamari was really good, as was the kids cheese pizza, NY steak, and wedge salad. Will definitely be back y o try out more of the menu. And they have free valet parking (just bring cash to tip the valet person). read more

We struggled to get his attention and when we finally ordered another round of drinks he seemed super annoyed. Everything I've eaten is delicious (including the desserts) and especially the salads. Everyone is nice and there are always customers there no matter what time or day I visit. I thought the calamari was excellent. It was lightly breaded with bits of zucchini and jalapenos amongst the offerings. A side of lemon flavored aioli was a lovely highlight while the tomato sauce - lightly dribbled over the top - really made a very nice dish. The Moroccan meatballs were so-so. My lunch partner thought they were better than I did. There were 8 very nice meatballs in a spicey sauce. The meat tasted like a combo of beef and lamb and the sauce may have used Harissa but had the bite of cayenne in that it coated the mouth. I love spicey foods but the sad part of this was that the spice overshadowed any other Moroccan attributes this dish might have had. I would not order it again for that reason. Both dishes were sufficient for a luncheon meal. Not too copious but sufficient to fill without creating a bloat. The service was very good. The waitress knew what she was talking about when she described the foods; pointed out the things that the wait-staff enjoys and was attentive to our needs. The patio was perfect and the place was buzzing on a Monday, but no wait time! We enjoyed their sangria with peach purée and the Louisiana egg rolls to start. The egg rolls were so good! Crispy and savory with a delicious mustard sauce on the side. I had the Hong Kong style salmon and I ate every bite! The broth was perfectly umami, the veggies were nice, the rice was so creamy, and the salmon was so crispy on the edges and perfectly cooked on the inside. Great ambience to chill inside the tables are pretty close to each other so be prepared for that. That is something that does not concern us. Service was on point taking care of the four of us. It's a solid restaurant and bar, and I've known quite a few bartenders and servers there during the last five or so years. What really keeps it on my list, though, is Leigha behind the bar. Leigha makes a great Old Fashioned, but it's more than just the drinks. Leigha has a way of making the bar feel comfortable and familiar, like catching up with a neighbor rather than just ordering another round. The conversation is always easy, never forced, and it's one of the main reasons my friends and I choose Salt when we're deciding where to go downtown.
