Not good for vegetarians. I told the waitress that I was vegetarian & wanted the cheese ravioli, so she suggested just a marinara sauce on top of the ravioli rather than the dish as listed. But either she didn't communicate my dish correctly to the kitchen, or the kitchen messed up my order (I see others have had the same problem), but my dish came out with pancetta (salty bacon) on it. I didn't realize it until I'd taken a couple bites. The bacon was so salty I couldn't even eat around it or spit it out, I had to scrape the sauce off the pasta to eat it. The breadsticks were tasteless - like wonder bread with garlic powder. Ugh. Very disappointed. My friends enjoyed their dishes, only reason this place is getting more than 1 star. read more

I ordered a supreme pizza from this place and it was not good. I added angus ground beef as it is advertised on menu but got meat sauce instead. This messed up my whole pizza and was greasy and messy. I only ate nearly 2 slices and threw away the rest. This was a complete waste of money. read more

I usually choose a restaurant based on cuisine. Sometimes my decision is based on location. And tonight? I wanted a patio to get in the last licks of summer. Since it was overcast with a strong threat of rain, the patio needed a protective overhang. Vespucci's it is! Technically our dinner was 3.4 stars, rounded up because the patio was recently refurbished and just what I was looking for. Plus our server was solicitous and really good. We ordered a cheapie bottle of chardonnay -- $20, and it wasn't half bad! -- which we enjoyed with Vespucci's signature breadsticks and marinara sauce. As you can see from my photos, our entrees look good, but frankly lacked oomph! Bring on the garlic! Even the capers in T's chicken picata were bland -- which to be fair, may be the preference of their clientele. (Hey! We're not in New York, and I noticed a lot of seniors Saturday night.) We splurged on dessert, sharing an order of mini cannoli's. Some restaurants in GA fill cannoli shells with whipped cream -- a big yech! Vespucci's uses an authentic filling of ricotta, perhaps mixed with mascarpone and a drizzle of chocolate. Very good! All in all, a lovely evening with a not-half-bad dinner. read more

This was our first time dining in at Vespucci's. I left disappointed due to the customer service provided. Both hostesses were nice and friendly, food was decent but our server never came to check on us. My boyfriend got one refill and that's it. Never came back to refill my water, we couldn't track him down. Eventually, we had to ask the hostess for a refill. The manager and/or owner even saw my empty glass and asked me if I wanted a refill, I said yes and never got it. I get restaurants can get hectic on a Saturday night but to be forgotten about except to check us out is not a good feeling. read more

I was in the area to visit my son and we were looking for an authentic Italian restaurant. Vespucci's was excellent from start to finish. The bread sticks and marinara were great. Our salads were fresh, and our dinners were delicious. We had spaghetti and meatballs and shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. It was his birthday and they brought us mini cannolis on the house- a nice touch. When in Canton....Vespucci's Italian Kitchen is located right off Canton Rd down the street from Kell High School. There is a Planet Smoothie and Ray's Donut in the same little plaza along with Waffle House. You can't miss this little Italian eatery. With baseball and basketball events in the area, the restaurant was busy. However our party was seated immediately. We were helped immediately though. We were talking and reviewing the menu when we noticed a waiter had not been to our table. It had been about 15 minutes since we were seated. I normally would leave at this point and eat elsewhere. I was overruled. Hostess stand was notified we hadn't been helped yet. A waiter came over a few minutes later to apologize and begin taking orders. An appetizer of garlic bread with marinara sauce was quickly brought out along with our drinks. Sweet tea wasn't Southern sweet tea but good. Yes I love my sweet tea if you've read my reviews. Ordered a bottle of rose as it had been a long week. Rose was perfect after long day basketball. The side salads came out with the appetizers. We ordered the calamari and fried ravioli. The calamari was cooked perfectly. It was gone in a flash. I heard the fried ravioli was good. I didn't get to try it. Darn kids! Lol! Side salads were fresh and just right amount dressing. Next the entrees, Greek salad with grilled chicken, NY strip steak, lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs. I was asked if I wanted a small or large salad. I said small with grilled chicken. What I received was basically a side salad with almost 2/3 a sliced chicken breast on top. Be mindful if you order a salad. It was good but needed more salad with my chicken. Lol. I wasn't super hungry after waiting so size of salad was fine. Son loved the lasagna in his personal container. There was nothing left. He said it was delicious. His friend enjoyed the spaghetti with meatballs. He only ate half as he was full. My son's dad enjoyed his NY strip steak. It was cooked to order and well seasoned. No steak sauce required. Mashed potatoes and Italian veggies were good as well. Coffee and a little something sweet. We got the Sea salt caramel cake and the chocolate mousse layer cake. Let me say I am not a sweet and salty kind of person. I am just not a fan. However, I didn't taste the salt and this cake just melts in your mouth. It was delicious. Gotta try it. Just right amount of caramel. Amazing! I am a chocolate person and the chocolate mousse cake was delicious as well. Think like Hersey semi sweet for the sweet level. I enjoyed that one as well. I heard the coffee was good. I was still sipping the Rose. So all in all the food and drinks were really good. The staff was friendly and informative of the menu. We had nice booth inside with plenty space to eat and enjoy our time. The waiting and not having a wait staff assigned and there were bigger parties rolling in just left a bad taste for me. Couple that with a long day of basketball and just doesn't sit well. I was ready to destress and enjoy a good meal. I might go back but wait a bit or less busy day. Our waiter apologized which was appreciated. I would have thought the manager would have come by to say Hi heard about the mishap sorry to hear that and hope everything got back on track and you had a good experience. read more

Highly disappointed in Vespucci's. I called in a pick up order about 2 hours in advance and requested a specific pick-up time, knowing that they may have a dinner rush considering it was a Friday night. Clearly the food had been prepared well in advance of the time I scheduled. Upon arriving the bartender had no record of my order, which had been stashed away in the kitchen somewhere. The bill was just shy of $40 for the pizza and 5 fried ravioli. Collectively the food couldn't have weighed more than about 12-16 oz. The pizza's crust had turned jerky and tough, barely had any prosciutto, cheese or sauce. The fried ravioli weren't crispy, and the superfluous mixed greens wilted into undesirable mush after absorbing their heat. If you're going to charge nearly $30 for a pizza & $10 for ravioli, at least live up to the price tag, hence the low rating. read more

Have driven past Vespucci's a thousand times and finally decided to give it a try after reading the reviews. Atmosphere is nice, had a good crowd but we got a table right away. Even with the crowd, it was quieter than I would have thought, which was nice! The server was extremely friendly (it was her birthday!) we ordered drinks, they had my Meomi Pinot Noir (!) and the spinach artichoke appetizer, which was very good. Have a nice menu, was tempted to go with the Veal Marsala, but we were there for pizza. The Italian sausage was sliced, which I prefer over crumbled, was a really good. I really struggled with this review because the people were very nice and the food certainly wasn't bad, but I honestly feel like the price point here is a little ridiculous. I got Chicken Parmesan and it was good but I feel like at $19.95 it should have been far better. The salad is good and the rolls were as well. The portion size is really good, which may explain their price point. It's a lot of food. If you want a lot of extremely average Italian food for a high price point, this is a good spot. Me personally, if I pay 20 bucks a plate I don't want a huge portion of very average food. I would much prefer some very favorable and authentic food. read more

We visited on a Friday night and were immediately sat. Service was good. The free breadsticks were just okay, but I will never complain about free bread. The chicken parm was good- chicken breast was a good size and very crispy, but the spaghetti side was just ok. The Stromboli was very large and packed full of fillings. We haven't been to Vespucci's in about a year, and found ourselves disappointed in the changes in quality and price. The last time we were there, our dinner cost $42 (inc. tip). This time, the exact same food was $58. That is a significant increase, but it would be understandable IF the quality of the food had remained the same. It wasn't. I ordered the ravioli and was thoroughly disappointed. I have NEVER had ravioli garnished with white and red onions, and they were overwhelming. The onions completely distracted from the taste of the sauce and pasta. Onions just do NOT belong in ravioli sauce. BAD RECIPE, Vespuccis. My wife had the meat lovers Farfalle and she enjoyed it which is why this review received 3 stars instead of only one. Service was decent, but I do appreciate a restaurant where the manager comes out and checks with the tables to see how everyone is doing instead of just sitting on a bar stool and watching TV. Let's start with the service, I wouldn't give the service any less than 5 stars just because of our server Michelle (not sure if I spelled her name right). We were one of her many tables and she was one of two servers. She did an amazing job, and was kind. I did feel like our food took a little while to get to our table but that's not on the server and boy was it with the wait. The food was fantastic, I'll just talk about our order. You get breadsticks and marinara to start. The bread is garlicky, herby and soft. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip to start, that came with toasted bread, 10/10 was so cheesy hot and creamy. My entree was basic but they killed it, I got the chicken parmigiana. You'll get the biggest piece of chicken you've ever seen with a creamy tangy rose sauce and spaghetti noodles. Now itself is nothing fancy, they have dim lighting and motel art. There is a bar and everything but if you want good Italian food, don't wanna break your wallet or dress up, then vespucci's is your place. read more

Vespucci's is a new family favorite. This time it was only my wife and my youngest and pickiest eater. Service was better than you'd expect in these staffing challenged times. We were seated right away and everything moved along as you'd expect. I had Mussels Messina with the white wine garlic sauce. My only gripe was my son had eaten all the bread. The sauce is my favorite part, and it was sad to not be able to sop it all up, and it was worth sopping up. My wife had the sausage and peppers (Again). Pasta cooked perfectly. Great roasted peppers and onions, and spicy sausage. Delicious. My picky eater demolished the bread sticks that were obviously made with their scratch dough. Not pre-made blah breadsticks here. Sauce served with them was great too. He went on from there to crush the spaghetti and meatballs. It's a testament that there was only pasta remaining in the bowl. Meatballs went down first which rarely happens. Pasta was well cooked. Sauce was delicious. Portions were large. Remnants were polished off with gusto for lunch. We ordered every course and were mostly pleased. Here's a quick recap: Appetizer: fried ravioli tasty, but a bit chewy and tough. Salad: Vespucci's salad (mixed greens, cranberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, candies walnuts) was good, but average. Main: BBQ chicken pizza - delicious! Note: the personal size is big enough for two! Just moved to the area and tried Vespucci's because it's near by and has good reviews . I did take out but was blown away because I was greeted at the door with my toddler in hand and a server was nice enough to hold the door for us as well as usher us to the take out counter . There were people eating inside and the service was great. I'm eager to eat there soon as it seemed very clean and they practiced safe social distancing. So onto the food. There is a homemade greatness that comes with all the food we have ever tried here. Last night we happened to be craving an authentic pizza. Once again they didn't disappoint. We also got the sampler appetizer and I can say I'm a big fan of the spicy fried green beans. Owning my own business I'm a huge fan of mom/pops type places and they definitely have this vibe.
