tl;dr: Phantom buses and zero communication. This is NOT a reliable service and I cannot recommend it to anyone. Sometimes a bus just doesn't show up, they don't know where the bus is, and they cannot contact the driver. This has happened to me twice, now, within the past 3 weeks, so it clearly is not just a one-off mistake, but a chronic problem. When trying to contact them, customer service has no power to do anything, so they just say they'll file a complaint on my behalf. I also decided to independently send in an email to complain about this, which they have ignored entirely. They clearly don't care that they're charging us money for a service that they proceed to not provide. Also, earlier this week, when I was running late one day for reasons beyond my control, I arrived to the pick-up location 3-4 minutes late. Despite having my contact info and knowing to expect me on a bus, they did nothing to check on if I was coming. They left without me: no text, no willingness to wait for 5 friggin' minutes, nothing. When I called to rebook, I did not even need to give them my name for them to know exactly who I was and what I needed. This is incompetant--why else would they have my phone and email address if not to contact me with a warning when I am around the corner instead of already waiting at the shuttle stop? After I missed my bus, I wanted a refund because I knew it would be easier to find a different mode of transportation. After speaking to the customer service rep on the phone, they said that they could give me a full refund, but shortly thereafter I received an email that rescinded that promise; instead, the best they could do was give me a voucher for a trip of equivalent cost. So, I gave it one more shot, having a customer service rep help me book a ticket from my family's house (where we were celebrating my birthday that weekend) back to my college campus. This was when I encountered the second instance of a nonexistent bus. Again, the customer service was essentially unhelpful in their entirety, as their resolution was to book me for a bus the next morning. This resulted in me missing my Organic Chemistry II lecture, which costs a hefty tuition to attend. If their buses were even halfway reliable, then there would have been no problem. But they are a complete failure of a shuttle service, and I will never again be booking a ride with them. So, finally, here I am, after wasting hours of time trying to get the company to provide me with the service they promised. They still have not responded to any of my attempts to lodge a complaint. I recently sent another email hoping to receive compensation, or at least a promise that they'll look into these chronic problems, but alas--I have no hope that they ever will listen or reply. read more

Extremely Well Please! My family uses Salt Lake Express often and we depend on it. The customer service is excellent! We did have a problem with a rude telephone attendant and the supervisor made it right in a big way! She handled the problem quickly and efficiently and gained a fan for life! Other than this one attendant, everyone who has helped me has been exceptional. I love the service, their friendliness, and the way they make sure you are accommodated, I never worry that we'll miss a flight if we're going to the airport or that if our flight is late we'll miss the Salt Lake Express. They'll get you on another. They have a lot of variables when they go long distance and they do a fantastic job. You can be precise over hundred's of miles and many stops but they are as close as you can get. I do wish they'd stop in Malad. We have many, many students here who could use it and our family who travel extensively as well as our busy Bed and Breakfast on Malad Summit which sometimes requires us to pick up guests from town. Instead it goes to an even smaller town north of here. Overall, I love this service and highly recommend it to anyone needed to travel the I-15 It's a good deal for the money and peace of mind. read more

Ok, if I could rate this trip 0 stars, I would. I took SLE from Provo to Rexburg on 11/26/22. My bus was supposed to leave from Provo at 2:55pm, but it didn't get to the station until almost 3:40pm. My bus from Salt Lake City airport was supposed to leave at 3:40pm, so I missed it because of the first late bus. One of the drivers told my large group of BYUI-bound college students that he would be our driver after completing his loop, so it should be about 30min. We waited for over an HOUR! Finally, we all started calling and they transferred us to the next bus at 6pm. Now, this is where I wish I could do a separate five-star review. The 6 o'clock driver, Joseph F. picked us up after our first bus ditched us. He made sure every one of us made it back to Rexburg even though he didn't have many seats left. He took the time to make sure all of us got transferred and were able to get home safely. He was a ROCKSTAR!! I am not happy about the trip as a whole, however! What was supposed to be a trip arriving in Rexburg at 8:35pm has turned into a trip not arriving until midnight! read more

Kelly (Kelline Jones) was very friendly and professional. This is my second round trip with salt lake express and they are great! Too bad the time was short with Kelly (driver) I was picked up in Provo and they switched drivers in Spanish Fork Utah. It's a GREAT alternative to driving especially if I'm tired. I know they offer SLC airport service as well as the airport in Las Vegas. What an awesome resource!!! Thanks Kelly for making the experience enjoyable! The only thing I had a problem with was where to meet the bus in Provo, it makes sense that it's near the frontrunner/UTA stations but there's NO sign or way of knowing where the bus will pick you up ‍. I had to ask another UTA worker who told me approximately where to watch for the bus!! There should be a sign!! I like that the bus usually stops at maverick gas stations along the route. My family, friends and I have used Salt Lake Express for many years. Since we live in Pocatello, whenever we need to fly out of Salt Lake City, it's been a great option. We've always gotten to the airport in plenty of time to catch our flights and had a relaxing ride along the way. I've enjoyed meeting some wonderful people as I traveled on the Express and made a few friends. When friends have come from Alaska to visit us, we always book the Salt Lake Express to bring them here to Pocatello. the get to enjoy the ride and see the counrtyside on their way up. Once my flight had arrived early so I called as soon as we landed to see if I could catch the earlier shuttle. they caught the driver while I grabbed my bag and away I went. It was a nice surprise for my family after I had been away for so long. I just can't say enough about the great experiences we've had over so many years of using the Salt Lake Express. We've used salt lake express several times for our children at school in Rexburg. One of those times we chose the door to door pickup from my brother's place in a small town outside of Pocatello. The address was hard to find but the salt lake express driver went the extra mile to call my son and to track down his location. Most recently, our son was home with us in Buffalo, NY for Christmas and the weather got nasty. His flight was rescheduled twice and delayed several times, causing him to have to reschedule his shuttle from salt lake back to Rexburg several times. They were ALWAYS easy to work with and didn't make us pay huge fees to reschedule. I've seen other reviews of people complaining that they go out of their way to pick up just a few, but I think that is part of what makes this service so good. read more

I take the Salt Lake Express to get from the Airport in Utah to school at BYU-Idaho. This past time I flew in my flight was delayed coming in. I was worried about missing my shuttle and I still hadn't grabbed my luggage yet. I ran out to the nearest Salt Lake Express driver, they weren't going where I needed but they told me that I just missed the shuttle and I could call and they would reschedule me. I gave them a call and was very happy to find out it was easy to be rescheduled and it was no additional cost. It wasn't my fault I missed it but I know plenty of businesses that would have taken advantage of the situation. So I was rescheduled and I had a couple hours to relax, call my fiance, and charge my phone. I was very happy with how quick and easy it was to deal with my missed shuttle. read more

Those reputation management companies sure know how to hide and bury truth, don't they Mr Price (so unethical) Hmmm Has anyone ever been discriminated against by SLE because this very unscrupulous company charged me double for the same trip and refused to make the adjustment. As a parent, it was extremely easy to book a ride for my teenage daughter so she could go visit (long term) relatives. And then when she decided to stay and needed her bicycle, I just shipped it to her via the SLExpress again! The cost savings in gas alone was well worth it! And my daughter reported that she had a wonderful trip! As a member of OMOJAE /oh-may-jee-uh/ (that's Over-protective Mothers Against Just About Everything) I was very worried about sending her on a bus. However, it was a great experience and I have had her travel on the Express several times so far and plan to have her do it again in a month (for her bridal shower)! Salt lake Express has always been a real value to me. Without having to drive I can spend the time on work projects, read, or even just sleep. I have always found their coaches to be clean and comfortable, and their drivers courteous. And you won't find a lower price with any of their competition. Especially if you are going to be out of town for a few days; their price is less expensive than the cost of parking for those few days. You can also use them for shipping packages. As long as it is going to an airport that they stop at, and there is someone there to receive the package, you can't beat it. I wouldn't rely on anyone other than Salt Lake Express. read more

My husband and I took a shuttle down to Salt Lake City, Utah, to visit theTemple when my niece got married. Michelle Lusk was the agent who booked our trip. She was so helpful, patiently answering all of my questions, and even had tips for our trip and travel information. She was the best! i needed a ride from vegas to St. George and didnt know what to do. my flight had been delayed and i didnt have family to come out and get me. i decided to walk out to the shuttles and saw Kyle M. standing next to his van, checking people in. i told him my situation and he made every effort to help me. he ppersonally called the ticket line and made all the arrangements other then handing me his personal cell phone so i could pay. he took care of my bags and made sure i was ok ( iwas fairly distraught when i walked over to him). he was so kind and caring and understanding. because oh kyle i will always ride with SLE! read more

I am a Salt Lake Express customer several times a year because there is no good way to fly to Southeast Idaho from major airports. By using SLE, I can leave my car at home in Idaho, ride the express to the Salt Lake City airport, and not worry about my car at the airport. Because of SLE's low cost, I can travel to Salt Lake airport for less cost than the gasoline for me to drive there myself. The Salt Lake Exxpress drivers are courteous and well trained, and the busses are first rate. Their time table is totally dependable. I will continue to be a Salt Lake Express customer. I've ridden with Salt Lake Express many times over the past 4 years or so. It's a convenient way to visit relatives a couple hours away when I'm having car troubles or riding to the airport, so I don't have to pay to park my car. They have gotten delayed sometimes, just like anyone does on the roads, but I've never had trouble actually getting to my destination. The customer service is great and really friendly. I had some travel credit to use, so I called in. Kiersten answered all my questions, made my reservation for me, and was pleasant on the phone.
