Currently on the salt lake express. Going to be late for my flight......maybe the ride durations should be changed at booking? Left at 2:00 from Rexburg and now not going to get to the airport until 7:30. My flight is at 8:00 and they promised to be at the airport by 6:45. The driver is really kind and concerned for the individual. Love the wi-fi and charging stations. Maybe seat reservations is something for them to consider? A mom came in with her child and asked for people to change seats so she could sit with him. Understandable but inconvenient for others. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. On the way from Salt Lake to Rexburg, one of the busses broke down. Our bus stopped to pick them up, and every seat but one was filled. Luckily we had room for them. Over the next 5 1/2 hours, our bus broke down three times. On the third, they told us it would be an hour and a half wait until another bus could pick us up. At that point, we were still an hour and a half away from our destination. Before those busses came, a group of us called a taxi to drive us the text of the way to Rexburg. I don't know how the night ended for the rest of the passengers, but needless to say, I will not be using Salt Lake Express again. read more

Be forewarned! McCamon to Salt lake City airport May 26 18 on several occasions the driver fell asleep at the wheel crossing into the lane next to the one we were in. On two different occasions, thanks to the two Truckers blowing air horns as they moved there rig over avoiding an accident. The Bus driver still having a hard time keeping eyes open and the Bus in its lane, I threatened to call Highway Patrol/911 if the Bus left its lane one more time. That seemed to do the trick for 30 minutes when after passing several digital warning signs alerting drivers to be prepared to stop do to traffic in Ogden. The Bus approached the stopped traffic to fast the driver couldn't stop fast enough, The Bus driver had to make a sudden lane change into closed lanes to avoid hitting the stopped traffic. Emailed Salt lake express three times while on the Bus, am yet to here back from them. Do I mention the arrival time of the Bus was 45 minutes late. read more

This company, sadly, had horrible service. After months of communication, and detailed directions and plans for our day, the two shuttles that we ordered showed up late. One arrived 15 minutes late, and the other arrived 45 minutes late. They were unapologetic, and even denied they arrived late. I would absolutely recommend against using this company. read more

Made a stop in Idaho Falls to pick up some people and again in Brigham City for bathrooms and snacks and she got to the airport 10 minutes before schedule! The price is reasonable compared to what you would be paying in gas to drive alone, and you don't have to worry about parking if you're flying out of SLC. Nice, Safe drivers but that's all. My biggest complaint is that the drivers don't take five minutes to clean up the shuttle floor between trips. Someone even found a banana pill! One driver did have a garbage can for those responsible enough to dump their garbage. The shuttles are old and not that comfortable . Some of the seatbelts and didn't work and seats would not move up or down. The office and St. George badly needed vacuuming and the hot chocolate machine was not working the four days we came through there. This company doesn't seem to have any pride. read more

I've been riding with Salt Lake Express regularly for four years. The drivers used to be characters and the price was reasonable, but in the past year or so the company has been growing and has lost that "local" feel, for better or worse. The buses are still punctual and the schedule has improved. However not all of the new drivers are courteous, especially on the early runs, and the price has risen a lot. It is now not even close to being financially worthwhile for me to take the shuttle for a short trip. Still a good enough service, but it used to be a better one for me. Three stars. Update a year later... prices are a bit lower and service has improved. Having much better experiences now. Upgraded to four stars. read more

However, they recently raised their rates significantly (like 8 bucks more each way) This is an issue, and makes it hard for me to be much of a fan any more. The ride itself was not bad. The service was. First, the driver forgot to pick me up and had driven far past my location. Second, the customer service agent I called tried for 15 minutes to get a hold of the driver, but drivers are told not to answer their phones while driving. Luckily after he called her multiple times she did or else she would have been more than 30 minutes south before she turned around. I am so glad that I left on the earlier bus or I would have missed my flight. Might just rent a car next time. read more

It's nice that there is this shuttle that goes back and forth from BYU-Idaho to the Salt Lake Airport (and all stops in between). I have 3 kids attending BYU-I, and it seems like someone is always coming or going, and we have used this shuttle many times. I just went on to schedule another trip, and I discovered that they now have a new pricing system. It used to be that all the rides from SLC to BYU-I were $40. Now they only offer two times (10:00am and 6:00pm) for that price. All the other times are an extra $15, which is a rip-off. All the flights miss the 10:00am connection, so the traveler has to sit around and wait for 5 or 6 hours or pay more money. Just another way to get more money. read more

My Mom and I recently took the shuttle from Blackfoot, Idaho to the SLC airport. The shuttle arrived at 4:40 am with NO HEAT. We FROZE for the entire 4 hour drive to the airport. We had 1 sweater to share, and blankets weren't provided or offered. I called to explain our situation after we completed our trip to ask for a partial refund, and was told "compensation wasn't likely" and no apology was offered. BEWARE. I had a terrible experience with this company. The van I was suppose to ride broke down. They said it would be a 30min delay. That was fine. Those things happen. Well that 30 min took an hour and a half. My driver got there, jumped out of the van, looked around and left. I was literally walking over to him. He was in a rush since his van broke down. His name was Patrick. I called the dispatch and the lady who answered was sassy and no help. Didn't even offer to compensate. So I waited a total of two hours and finally took and ride with another van. It was freezing cold outside and a miserable experience. Be careful with there service. You cannot rely on them. My partner scheduled a 10:30pm shuttle from SLC and was at the pickup spot at 10pm. The bus was late, went to a different terminal, and continued on without calling her. When she called customer service, they advised her to wait for the 8am shuttle and sleep at the airport. Don't count on them for anything. read more

The worst experience ever. I was supposed to be picked up at 10 am from the airport SLC to St. George....after waiting from 9:40am at 10:25 am a lady called me saying that the van has mechanical problem and it will be solved in 30-40 minutes, I was a lie. I was picked up at 11:30. Asked the lady on the phone why she's calling me only now at 10:25 to notify me and her response was " I'm doing the best I can, I didn't even knew about this". After they sent a lady that she said, she just woke up and didn't had time to shower?! Are you for real? What about us that paid a ticket and waited for more than an hour outside in cold????. The ride was awful, the van was shaking, even the lady driver was scared to drive it!! You are a respectable company, you are SALT LAKE EXPRESS, why don't you take care of your vans, to give better service to your customers. Where are the money that we all pay for tickets? One star because I can put zero stars! After weeks of trying to have the issue of my wife and 9 year old daughter being left on the side of the road has turned up short, to say the least. After several attempts over several weeks to the manager who was supposed to be handling the issue, Hannah, no reply was found. Definitely has taken the wrong direction of service. Took the express late once night, arrived in Idaho Falls to find out the driver gave my luggage to the wrong person. While they quickly located the suitcase, they failed to take responsibility to return it to me at my home. Instead I was forced to do a 2 hour drive to pick up my suitcase. They lack any knowledge of their responsibility under common carrier law. Apparently they have forgotten service in pursuit of convenience and profit. read more

I was stranded at the SLC airport at 12 am on a Sunday evening after the shuttle refused to wait more than 5 minutes for me. I had called the "customer service" to let them know my plane had landed late but I was at the airport and rushing to the shuttle. They left anyway. The woman who spoke with me insisted that the shuttle could not wait more than five minutes, despite that I was already at the airport (actively collecting my bag) and it was the LAST shuttle of the evening AND I had no other way of getting to Logan that night. I ended up having to take a 120 dollar Uber to Logan after midnight. The customer service refused to give me a full refund and also told me to "have a good night" after it was clear that I was stranded at the airport after midnight. I have been on the shuttle before when it was over 45 minutes late picking me up AND when they have waited for other customers for more than 5 minutes. I am shocked by the rigidity and lack of compassion this company displayed towards me that night. I highly encourage you to NOT use this company. Please find any other option; there is parking at the airport for as low as 6 dollars a day. Cheaper than this disappointing service. read more

I would rather hitchhike than ever entrust my trip with them again. My two children were traveling from Rexburg to the SLC Airport when the bus broke down. Although a second bus was called in to get them to their flight on time, they had to go ahead without their luggage because the luggage compartment on the bus was locked shut. My children were not traveling home and were in need of the critical items in their bags. This included the clothes they would wear, basic hygiene necessities, and even Christmas gifts they would plan to give. It is now a full two days since this incident happened and I have yet to learn the status of their luggage, despite repeated calls to their customer service line. Each call has resulted in a polite, but uninformed agent, who has assured me that someone from management would be calling me back shortly to inform me of the shipping status. I am still waiting. Meanwhile, we have really been inconvenienced without the basic necessities they had in their luggage and have had to spend a considerable amount of money to replace these items. The last phone call I made, I was told that the luggage would eventually be mailed and we would likely not see it for several days. When I asked why it wasn't being overnighted I was told that that's not possible and that I was entitled to my own opinion when questioning the veracity of that statement . At this point I'm concerned if the luggage will even arrive before their return trip. It seems obvious to me that this is a company that has made a decision to run on the cheap, from avoiding the expense of maintaining quality busses that don't break down to choosing not to adequately rectify a situation that has severely inconvenienced their customers. This decision will assuredly be much more costly as frequent customers like me will go out of our way to never use their service again. read more

My parents who are both seniors were just left and forgotten at a gasoline station in Idaho, in -6 degree weather!!!The female driver did not go back for them and when confronted about the situation, she didn't admit it and never apologized. The second driver who was supposed to pick them up was never notified by the company about picking them up...I am sooooo upset!!! Although the company did apologize, they didn't even offer to waive the fee or a discount if we ever planned to use their service again (which most likely we won't ) I don't care if your running on a time scale you DO NOT leave 2 elderly people. While it was nice to ride the bus on one of my trips, the van was okay as well. The driver on the return trip was a few minutes late in picking us up but we still made it to our destination on time and that's all that mattered. They were punctual the other times. It was late both times I have taken it. The second time it was late more than 30 min. After that it broke down on the side of the road in the snow and we were told we needed to wait a couple hours for a rescue bus to come. We called a taxi instead.
