The ultimate spot for your dog's birthday celebrations! Moving to Philadelphia means new birthday traditions for Freddy Sue the dog. She celebrated six years this past Sunday, and I knew a special treat at Salty Paws was on the menu. We arrived around noon and were the only friends in the building. Staff is super courteous and helpful, especially for having to deal with wild pooches all day. I went with two cookies (they have digits for birthday celebrations) and a small Philly Cheesesteak flavored ice cream. They put it into a doggy bowl and Fred, refusing to get up onto the chair, opted to enjoy her birthday treat on the floor. This is a great spot to make your dog feel especially loved and special. I won't even discuss prices because I am pretty sure I would pay just about any price to help Fred feel like the queen she is on her special day. Heard that Salty Paws was coming to Philly and could not wait to take our dog there. It was the perfect day for ice cream yesterday, so my husband and I stopped by with our dog after a walk in the neighborhood. As we approached the store, our dog started to get very excited. FYI we've never been to any of the Salty Paws stores before. We headed straight for the ice cream bar. I have never seen a dog store offer so many flavors of ice cream before. After a few minutes, we decided on two scoops of ice cream (maple bacon and pumpkin), topped with bacon and cheddar treats. The ice cream can be served in a cone, waffle bowl, or dog bowl. Two scoops (medium) may have been too much for a little dog, but we also want our dog to have variety. The owner/manager let us know she could pack the leftovers and we could just freeze the leftovers when we get home. Our dog could barely contain his excitement. He dove right into the dog bowl and was in ice cream heaven. It looked so delicious. You can tell the ice cream ingredients are high quality. Our dog has a sensitive digestive system, yet he was able to handle the ice cream with no issue. The baked goods at Salty Paws were also so cute and well decorated. read more

Kept seeing this online and couldn't wait to check it out. Such a wonderful selection of dog treats, clothes, supplies (beds, leashes, collars, etc.) and of course, ice cream! Talked to the owner about my old dogs and she was so compassionate and shared about her furbabies as well. We got our pup some ice cream but he didn't like it so I couldn't give it 5 stars lol. They have tables set up so you can sit with your pup to feed them the ice cream! We brought our pup to Salty Paws for the first time today. She had the peanut butter ice cream with beef topping. They have a dog bed on a chair for the pups to sit and eat at the table haha... so cute! The owner was really nice and sweet with our Winnie. A great spot to take your pup! The woman working was super friendly and so kind to our dog. We got the bacon ice cream with rabbit toppings which was completely indulgent but our pup deserved it! There were so many flavor and topping options. It was so cute watching her eat the whole thing. They have a wide assortment of dog treats and gear including a lot of Philly sports teams stuff.
