Totally dissatisfied with this experience, proceed with caution!…read more My boyfriend and I visited Woodhouse for the first time and each received two services each. I booked us each a 50-minute Swedish Body Balance Massage and a 50-minute WH Signature Classic HydraFacial expecting a relaxing, luxurious experience. Unfortunately, it was anything but. We arrived more than 30 minutes early being that it was our first visit, and the front desk staff felt a bit unwelcoming and dismissive right off. We were briefly shown the locker rooms and changed into robes. It was a little off-putting having to choose to change in either the shower area on the wet floor, or next to the toilet. My boyfriend and I met back in the "quiet room" where we were asked to fill out more paperwork. It's a bit annoying to have to fill out the same paperwork that we filled out online before our visit. The quiet room I might add was very crowded and not so quiet. There were several people on their phones, FaceTiming, most were not even trying to keep quiet. Moving on, our first service was the Hydrafacial. The Classic was supposed to be 50 minutes, but I looked at the clock on the Hydrafacial machine when the aesthetician began and when it ended, and it was 35 minutes. In addition, at least 5 of those minutes was spent under the red-light device. Online it doesn't specify that a red light would be used unless booking the 80-minute Deluxe Hydrafacial. To me, it's a copout to stick someone under the red light device for a shorter service, and would have liked more time actually getting the facial I'm paying for. I have a red light mask at home, so for me this was not needed. Next up were our massages and I'm being nice by saying they were underwhelming. Both my and my boyfriend's unfriendly therapists asked us separately (we did NOT get a couples massage) to choose an aromatherapy oil. We chose one, but I did NOT book us for Aromatherapy massages, so I was a little confused. In hindsight I should have spoken up, but I thought this "came with" the Body Balance massage. I did say at the start however, that I did NOT want any upgrades or add-ons and that I wanted exactly the services I booked. Onto the lackluster massage where I specifically mentioned to focus on my lower back, but at least 5 minutes was spent "working a knot" out of my shoulder which I didn't feel I had. It felt rushed and mechanical, not customized or attentive. To make matters worse, the treatment rooms were surprisingly noisy. The entire time both my boyfriend and I heard people filling what sounded like ice buckets, and he heard someone keep saying "cleaning crew" or something similar during his massage. Far from the serene environment I expected. And lastly, like the facial, it concluded in well under 50 minutes. The therapist walked me back to the quiet room and asked if I wanted anything to drink like a mimosa, and I said yes thank you, that'd be nice. She never returned with that drink. At the conclusion of our afternoon, we changed and went to check out. Expecting to pay $800 for our four services, we were charged $830 ($15 for each of us for aromatherapy). Sigh. I pointed this out to the front desk worker and said that we did NOT ask for any upgrades. I pulled up my account which showed where I did not choose aromatherapy. I stated that I was clear about not wanting any upgrades. Same with my boyfriend. He did not agree to anything besides what we booked online. The worker stated she could not remove the $30 charge, but that the owner could call me the following week to discuss. I'm still waiting to receive that call. Overall $30 is not a lot compared to what we paid for the other services, but I feel this is an extremely sneaky and unprofessional tactic to nickel and dime customers. Overall, this spa charges luxury prices but delivers a very average experience. There are plenty of other places that offer better service, more attentive staff, and far better value. I've frequented the Four Seasons many times, and if it weren't for their spa being closed for renovations, I would have gone there. I won't be returning to Woodhouse and will give my business back to the Four Seasons once they reopen.

All my knots are untied! Definitely going back for more! Red light therapy isn't for me, though. It's like a suntan bed and I am claustrophobic, so not a good match. The spa is sparkling clean and lovely. Worth the 40 minute drive from my house.

The owner truly goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed and before I was even a member she offered me multiple VIP cards to come in and make sure I liked the facility before I actually signed up. The owner went out of her way to call me and check on me and ask me questions to get to know me better as well as see what I did or did not like, and asked if I had any questions. I work in healthcare and I really thought it was even more sweet that the owner was accommodating to my schedule and trying to help me out with being on a budget offering me ways that would work with my budget while still being able to take care of myself and do a little bit of self-care. There are a lot of these locations but I would drive out of my way to come to this one because of how welcoming and personable the owner as well as all the staff that she hires are. I do know she owns a second location in rock Hill and I can only imagine that the team is just as amazing

I know there's a lifetime nearby too but it's so ridiculously overpriced and I don't use all the amenities to validate going there (having been a previous member). I love that wild horse is just a 6 minute drive from the house. It's usually the hardest part of going to workout - getting there, but it's so easy and there's always a parking spot open close to the door (since weather is in single digits!!) I'd say I go during odd hours since I have a hybrid work schedule. 11:30-2pm have 12+ people but it's never too crowded that I have to wait for a machine to be free (excluding today where everyone collectively decided to workout arms like me!) and 4-6p is when it gets a little busier, I bet due to people getting off work and wanting to get their workout in. Machines are clean as well as locker rooms. Towels are always available once you walk down to the floor or hit up the locker room to put your stuff away. There are cubbies where you can quickly stash your belongings as well. There are also jacket hooks in the locker room for colder seasons. The staff are all nice and friendly! The members are too! There's a wide array of machines for every muscle or variations of ones you've probably seen at other gyms. A ton of life fitness machines, free weights, cables, treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, you name it, they've got it! Couples membership is around $130/month plus $100~ sign up fee Worth it to stay or get in the best shape of your life!

They are located in Chesterfield, MO. I really enjoyed going to their facility and using it for the day to figure out whether I wanted to sign up for a gym membership. I can only talk about their locker room and pool area as that is the only part of the J that I toured and saw. Their pool was nice and warm inside. They also had a hot tub inside the same area where the pool was. I thought their pool was really nice, with nice lighting and looked clean. The locker room was really nice as well. They offer towel service, and locks that you can change for their lockers. They have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for their showers. I really enjoyed taking a shower and having a nice place t change. Their changing room was lacking enough counter space for more people to dry their hair or do their make-up if they wanted to. The main con and the reason I didn't choose to go with the J-Jewish Community Center is because of the price. This review is fully on the reason on why I didn't choose it for my place of working out. It was way over my budget for working out. But the staff were really nice and helpful. I am rating the star rating that I am because of this.

I showed up and the front desk proceeded to tell me it's three CONSECUTIVE days. I thought I must have overlooked it but upon checking the pass and the website, I can't find anywhere where it says that. So my first issue of that's the case is it should be made more clear. I then decided I had come this far and would eat the ten dollar one time charge. Was meeting a friend there to workout like the first time. And our kids would play together. The front desk the stopped me and said sorry, we can't take your kid unless you have a membership. Look, it wasnt the end of the world but it was a waste of time. .I'm surprised they did not make an exception as it ses clear it's not a liability issue it's a money issue. Anyways, I'd just try to.
