My fiancé surprised me with a float, manicure, and pedicure at Studio Anew. I was offered the larger float pod that looked as if it was intended to fit 2 people. The float was nice, however it was too warm for me and I was sweating. I cracked the door open and noticed mold on the bottom of the door. There were also rust stains in the pod. Aside from that, the float was very relaxing. Eva did my manicure and pedicure. She was very personable and nice but she did not do a good job. The second and third coat did not cover my entire nail, or the entire first coat. Essentially my nails just look a complete mess! The picture was taken the day after I got my nails done. I've gotten plenty of professional manicures before and I have never had such terrible results.

I started going to see Christal for my wedding in 2013. She is the only person who touches my hair now! Christal always knows exactly how to make my color ideas come to life! I always leave with hair looking like the inspiration I showed her. My daughter loves going to see her too!

Super super happy with the staff and especially my one and only barber Ilir Dosti. I have never left this place disappointed. It truly is a one stop shop. I see him once a month and it's always vip service with me and all of his clients. Dosti barber truly takes his time to perfect the hair cut and the beard trimming check out this cool fade and beard match love love love it !!!!! Thank you Dosti!

I did not want to leave this review, but after paying $700 and leaving with severely damaged hair,…read moreI feel obligated to warn others about my experience. I went to this salon because a stylist I had been seeing for over a year moved here. She had been maintaining my cherry cola color for about a year, and when she moved to The Boulevard, I told her I wanted to start the process of going back to my natural level 6 brown. I understood that removing red is a process and specifically told her I was completely fine doing it over multiple appointments. I also asked if we could keep the first appointment within a certain timeframe because I had dinner plans, and she agreed. My appointment was scheduled for noon. When I arrived, I sat alone for 30 minutes without being greeted, consulted, or acknowledged by anyone before my stylist finally came over. The appointment ultimately lasted 7 hours, and I had bleach on my hair for approximately 3 hours. When I left, my hair was severely damaged. In fact, my stylist knew it didn't look right because as I was leaving, she told me to "wear a ponytail to dinner." That is not something you say to a client who just spent hundreds of dollars and received a successful service. I have since shown photos from that appointment to other licensed cosmetologists, and multiple have told me the damage was evident as soon as the foils came out. I have always taken excellent care of my hair, use professional products, and have never experienced damage like this. My hair is now rough, difficult to manage, and completely different from how it felt before. I can't run my fingers through it, my natural texture is gone, and it is genuinely unrecognizable to me. I was so upset that I spent the entire weekend crying and had to miss work on Monday. When I called the salon Monday morning, I was told the owner would contact me. I never received a call. When I called back two hours later, the owner suddenly answered. She offered a free treatment if I came in immediately, but the first thing she said to me in person was, "It's not that bad." After spending two days devastated over the condition of my hair, that was incredibly dismissive and upsetting to hear. The owner then told me that the original stylist would perform my next treatment and that I could pay for a new color service. I explained that after what happened, I believed I deserved both a refund and a corrective color service. The stylist refused a refund, and offered the color service for free. I agreed to this, and then stylist put red back on my hair, leaving me looking almost exactly as I did before I started this process, except now my hair is badly damaged and I am out $700. I came to this salon because I trusted my stylist and trusted the salon to guide me through this process responsibly. Instead, I have walked out feeling worse every single time. The most disappointing part is that the owner never apologized, never took accountability, and never made a meaningful attempt to make this right. I wish I had never come here. I am now left paying for the damage done to my hair, and multiple people who have seen the condition of it have told me I should pursue legal action because of how severe the damage is.

Being new to St. Louis and having left a great longtime hair stylist in California, I was very…read morehappy to find Amy at Trim. She was friendly, welcoming, and open to ideas. I have medium/long thick hair and she did a great job adding some movement and easy to style layers to my cut. Pretty reasonable pricing at $45/haircut. Amy probably noticed that I had pretty much zero hair product in my hair when I came in so she didn't pile on styling goop during the blowout which I appreciated. Amy also offers people who refer a new client a complimentary hair product--smart word of mouth strategy. The salon is friendly and low key and parking is easy in Kirkwood.

My main concern was having some rookie make me look like more of a doofus than I already am because they didn't possess the skills to make me look like I could pull of an undercut. Anyways, I took the plunge and walked over and asked if there was someone who could give me my fresh new "do" and I was directed to Chris Cross. Not only did he do an awesome job but he basically coached me on how to style my hair so I could actually duplicate what he did on my own. The haircut itself cost $25 which I think is a completely reasonable price for what I'm getting. And I will happily pay it again knowing the service I get when I go there. He shampooed, washed and cut my hair. Plus, he used some cement product. All in all it probably takes at least 30 minutes. I also think $25 is the minimum for a men's hair cut. Pros: - Their business cards have their cell phone numbers on them. - They have a website, which contains their bios. Initially, a major selling point for me. - Extremely nice. - Been able to make appointments a few days out (at least with Chris). Cons: - None so far
