Since I saw a few things of interest, I went back with some measurements and the names of two contractors. They recommended one and offered a third. Sales professional, Brian, offered some ideas for other materials and, when he could see I was into the options, he had me hiking the whole lot with him. He worked with me to solve a design challenge. So far the pavers for my porch have worked out well; my neighbors are complimenting me left and right. I was seeking out 6-8 pieces of large granite stone to finish project. Solution: Brickyard, Inc. Okay, you guys, this place is so F'ing cool!! Seriously. I went to Home Depot the other day hoping that they would have this rock (didn't know it was granite at the time) and all they had were the standard retaining wall stone which I could not have incorporated into my landscaping for aesthetic reasons. I wanted to find something similar to this existing stone. The guy helping me at The Depot told me to check out Brickyard. I am so happy I did. Upon entering, it was a little intimidating because I had never been to a brickyard before (I mean, seriously, who has?) however once we started walking through the rows and rows of bricks, I was shocked by the selection, customer service and the quality of the bricks. But I was not looking for bricks you may be saying to yourself. Correct, I will get to my project in a sec. I was not looking for bricks but what I found was this jackpot of reclaimed Cream City and Chicago Pink brick. If you appreciate Milwaukee heritage, then you appreciate a good Cream City brick building. I often times just stare at the Cream City buildings in awe because of their beauty! So, this company actually SELLS the old Cream City and Chicago Pinks from demolished buildings all over the city. O...M..G...I almost freaked out. Each brick was intricately laid out on pallets and clean of mortar. Yeah. It's insane. The guy working with us told us that they ship trainloads of bricks all over the country, they are one of the only companies that do this. He said the price is comparable to new brick maybe even cheaper in some cases. He said Mo's on Bluemound and Cafe Central were all built from the reclaimed bricks from Brickyard. People looking to replace a brick or two on their historic home/building will find this place a gem, that is for sure. And those wanting to start a new project with Milwaukee's heritage will also find it a place like no other. To finish my project, I brought along with me the stone. The guys helping (so wish I would have gotten his name to give credit where credit is due) told me that what I had was an old piece of granite from the old Milwaukee Streets! He said they used to put the granite down before the bricks. I asked if he had any of this and he of course showed me a huge pile of broken up street granite that was perfect for my project and matched perfectly! I thought I was living a dream :-)

I called first, and they told me to get all the info possible on the boiler, the pump, the part... then head downtown because they probably had it based on the brand name. Well, I walked in, got taken care of really quickly, and they easiliy identified the part I needed. It was even cheap. I couldn't ask for better service. Store guys - 5/5 Phone lady - 6/5 (Yeah, 6.
