Over the years this kiosk has grown in size and offers a good selection of Hawaiian themed Christmas tree ornaments and other gifts. Santa's Pen also has several pop-up kiosks on Oahu on convenient locations & has them listed on their website. And from what a worker told me last year, they have a permanent store in Waikiki where you can shop year round. The uniqueness of their ornaments is you can have them personalized at a minimum cost. If they are slow, there is no wait but when the shopping season kicks in, orders are generally ready the next business day. I have used this location for many years now, as well as the Pearlridge location. The employees are well trained & very friendly as well as helpful. Every person/family that have bought ornaments for, have loved them. The prices are reasonable & it makes for a very special gift for loved ones. It was the last one on the shelf and I have to have it. On the fourth day after purchasing it. The light went dim and the music was crackling. So, my dad went back to the shop, explained the ladies and asked for an exchange or refund. However, they have a policy of neither of those services. So, I'm stuck with a $150 broken piece that'll be displayed on the shelf forever. I'm disappointed after being their longtime customer. If they offer any service to fix their China made ornament...then that would be great! But I know these business would not help me what's so ever!

Following Halloween begins the holiday season (sorry Thanksgiving) but for folks like me getting an early start with gift fairs like this is a gift itself some need to shop items which does require some added time and this gave me some much needed choices from food, snacks, seasonings and so many crafted items. The downside is parking $8 unless you're lucky to find some street parking and the entrance is $7 but with $2 coupon does make it a better deal. I've been shopping of gifts for a while to send to the mainland and stopping here was perfect. I finished my Xmas shopping for my mainland Ohana with some tasty local treats. Tried a sample of the coconut Huff and Puff and was sold. Bought some local made granola for just $8/bag. Found some pastels for dinner, pretty cheap at $5.50 a piece and it was Ono. I hope to see them again in future fairs. So many vendors and if you get there just before they open the aisles are pretty clear. There is something for everyone here.

It's wonderful to support the local hospital gift shop which proceeds support the Kuakini foundation. It's all run by mostly retired women who volunteers their time at the gift shop. The hours may varies if they have enough volunteers but usually by 3pm on weekdays they may be closed and by 9am or so they may be opened. Sometimes I was lucky when the volunteers opened early one day when I was doing an early procedure. There's a 50% off clearance table just outside. You may find great finds! They have cards, magazines, pill containers, Kimi dolls, imitation succulent plants, decorations, toys, kids items, reusable bags, tote bags, jewelries, figurines, candy, holidays treats /favors that a lady makes, leis during graduation and more. Most of the item i haven't seen before. The volunteer buyer finds the cutest and unique items! I just love shopping here! Most of my doctor appointments in the medical plaza are usually late in the afternoon so I'm not able to shop as often. On Sundays they are closed. Today, I was fortunate to shop here :) It's a cute gift shop! They accept credit cards so shop away! Please support them! The ladies are really nice and helpful! They seems close and became good friends from just volunteering together! I'm sure you will find something for yourself or others!

I enjoyed taking a gander at all of the beautiful selections that they offered. Note that they also carry huge size plants in case you were on the hunt for that as well for landscaping. The views from this location are also breathtaking with an amazing view of the mountain as its' backdrop. Such a fitting place to have a plant shop! We got there before the doors opened on the second day of the fair so we got first dibs at all the amazingly creative crafts, miniature themed Christmas trees, chutneys, hand-crafted jewelry, Christmas ornaments perfect for mainland holiday giving, Santa gnomes, handmade soaps, gorgeous holiday night lights, and so many other items too many to name. At the very end you get the privilege of getting a bowl of the best Portuguese Bean Soup you've ever eaten!! It starts on Thursday afternoon and runs through Saturday afternoon. There are ceramics, glass, paper goods, home and holiday decor, jewelry, quilts, bags and totes, wooden furniture, plants, prune mui, jams, jellies, plate lunches, etc., great for gifts for family and friends or something special for yourself. The line starts forming about 1 p.m. for the 3 p.m. opening on Thursday afternoon. You can always make friends with the ladies in line, even reconnect with high school classmates or friends you haven't seen in decades! The hosts of this craft fair are wonderful, provide cold water to customers waiting in line, umbrellas if it starts raining, and shoe service, taking your shoes to the back of the house so you can shop the huge tent in back, filled with more crafts galore! No fair taking better slippers or shoes than you came with! Ha! Ha! You can pay with cash, check or VISA or Mastercard credit cards! A definite "must go" craft fair, truly enjoyable and I never leave empty-handed! Woo hoo!
