I'm telling you, Fion Enterprise is one of those places that just gets it. From the second you walk…read morein, you feel the difference. It's not that corporate, rushed, "next customer please" kind of vibe -- it's warm, it's personal, and it genuinely feels like home. That kind of service is rare these days, and these folks have it down to an art. The space is kind of tight, but it's ok and parking is sometimes a little limited so plan ahead and visit the shop on days it isn't too busy. Esmerelda here is something special. Attentive without being in your face, helpful without making you feel like a burden -- just real, authentic people who take pride in what they do. You can tell they actually care about the people they serve, not just the transaction. That means everything to us locals, and it'll mean everything to you too. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, they treat you the same -- like ohana. No pretense, no attitude. Just good people doing good work with a smile. That kind of consistency is exactly why the community keeps coming back, and exactly why word spreads. If you're in the Laie or North Shore area and you haven't checked out Fion Enterprise yet, you're sleeping on one of the best-kept secrets on this side of the island. Support local, feel the aloha, and experience service the way it should be done.

I usually take out-of-town guests to visit Ulu Mana (after we get fresh fried taro chips from the Hawaiian Chip Company across the street) because HCC gives out coupons for free cookies. I will pick up their ulu beet hummus and have my guests sample the ulu chips. One visit, I ran into a friend who told me the acai bowls were the best in town. I skeptically asked if she had tried all the acai bowls to determine that and she said YES I DID! lol. So of course I had to try one and was hooked! These are damn good acai bowls! Pictured is the PB & Cacao Acai Bowl. Note: They offer you a sample of whatever shortbread cookie they are baking that day. One visit, I got a cookie fresh out of the oven. HEAVENLY! Unfortunately, that spoiled me and "not fresh out of the oven" cookies just don't hit the same. I wish they set a time people could come in to buy fresh out of the oven cookies with milk or something. I would totally stop in for that!

Samples of cookies, as well as their different flavor 'ulu chips were handed out. Can also ordered a box of fresh chips. They suggested calling in beforehand to place an order so that it's ready upon arrival. The chips were thin and crispy. We walked out with a bag of the garlic bits - as good as the regular ones but just not as pretty, as well as a bag of cookies. We'll definitely be back to try a fresh box of chips next time.

Fun and cute…read more.. That's what you hear me saying as I browsed through this cozy shop. Located in Marks Building I noticed this shop as I finished mailing a package and since i found metered street parking decided to give them a browse. As soon as I walked in and obviously seen it from outside is some Hello Kitty merchandise and decided that i had to give them a browse all very selected and not seen at many places is something that i browsed carefully. Of course not limited to Sanrio characters but some Disney and Pokémon as well. Lots of Funko Pops in the back wall all displayed with care i can see this shop is a collector's dream as i also notice some Pokémon Legos that I really wanted but no did not need making this shop a fun place to shop for that hard to find items. The staff here was nice as I browsed around with many of the items are collectors dream the prices actually are quite nice and with the Pokémon Championship coming into town places like this is a gem and a great place to shop at and many must scavenge around here as I can see why. Thank you!

You see Funkos everywhere, but there's only a few places where you can buy and sell, and this store might be the only ones that carry brand new Funkos as well. Let's welcome a new store to Hawaii that keeps us adults young at heart, The Scavenger's Vault. I first saw this store when I went to Mei Sum across the street as I saw a wall of Funkos through the clear glass. I had no idea what exactly it was, but someone posted about this store, and I was there the next day! The Scavenger's Vault is a small Funko specialty store that really has a wide variety of items that are brand new, hard to find, and probably some secondhand. You won't know it because ALLLLL the Funkos are specially encased in a quality plastic case with the store's name imprinted on top. Immediately there, you can see the care and pride the owners take for their items. Everything was super organized, clean, and easy to see. All the prices are very fair. Better than other places. And the variety is better! Better than the "other" store 5 minutes away. I seriously never bought anything from that store after several visits, but on my first visit to The Scavenger's Vault, I bought something! The owners are very friendly and nice, and kindly explained to me their business. They also have a stall at the Aloha Stadium swap meet and participate in various events. Overall, this store is awesome. Owners are great, and take pride and care for their Funkos. I really want to go again, but I do need to cut back on this stuff lol.

Watanabe Floral is Hawaii's largest full service floral shop since 1946, and my favorite shop. I try to visit here at least once a week to pick up roses/florals for my 2 vases, this help me think of a special person in my life who Loves floral. This place is such a happy vibe place/feeling, once you enter you will know what I mean. I just love the decor, so colorful, cheerful, so happy! I remember the very first time when I brought my mom here, I could see her happy face, I had to snap a photo of her at front of store. My recent visit I picked 10 colorful roses for my vase and also had to pick up a Birthday gift. Loved looking at all the orchids, picking one was hard. Watanabe has everything here, not only floral needs, you can just do your one stop gift shopping her. Like a local Hallmark with all the trinkets, gifts, snacks, jewelry, some very unique items that I never seen before. I came across the handmade crochet items and couldn't pass up on the bird and flower key chain, had to get them. They have very great vendors they purchase from, that's a great for supporting local! All in all, I just love shopping here! Don't forget - Mon-Sat. 9-4 & closed on Sundays! May your life be as beautiful as the flowers you give, spread happiness and joy with flowers!!

Up until now, they've always done a great job, but this recent experience for Mother's Day was extremely disappointing. First, the delivery driver brought the wrong bouquet. I paid $209.41 (including delivery), but my mom received a bouquet that was clearly not what I ordered later confirmed to be a lower priced arrangement. I had to call customer service, who then contacted the driver immediately. While I appreciate that they responded quickly, it still took about 47 minutes for the driver to return, take back the incorrect bouquet, and retrieve the correct one from the truck. When the correct arrangement finally arrived, the presentation was still off. The vase was too short for the flowers, making the bouquet look unbalanced and like it was falling out. For over $200, I expected much better attention to detail and quality. On top of that, the company advertised "free delivery," but that only applied to very limited areas on the island. I still had to pay a delivery fee despite the initial mistake being entirely on their end, which felt misleading. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for a special occasion like Mother's Day. I've had good experiences before, but this one really missed the mark.
