We have always frequented the Washington Center Rd location and have loved it. We had heard great things about the Illinois Rd location, so we thought we'd give it a go. It's located in a strip mall that looks a bit run down. But once you enter the outside door, everything changes. This location has a more intimate vibe to it. Lower lighting and a quieter mood. We were seated in the bar area but it was quiet since it was middle of the day and the bar was empty. Our server, Linda, did something I've never had happen before. She asked our names and proceeded to address us by them the entire visit. She had a great personality and made for a great experience. I'm a huge Mama Daphne fan as is my husband. But we wanted something different. We ordered bosco sticks for the app and husband ordered the spicy Italian meat calzone and I opted for the Papa Petro, a flatbread sandwich with pesto mayo and several Italian meats. We were impressed with both but the Papa Petro won out. Very tasty. Mama Daphne has some competition now. This location is the only location that doesn't serve pizza. They defer to the Marco's pizza location two doors down. So if you want pizza at Salvatori's, skip this location. Otherwise, I'd definitely recommend! Will be back! read more

Looking for something local and we stopped here yesterday. We were not really famished but needed to order something that tasted good but didn't break the bank! We ordered some really great bread sticks with cheese sauce and marinara. For our entrees we had fettuccini Alfredo that was excellent and a Philly cheese roll that was disappointing! It was really spicy hot with what tasted like lots of raw crispy green peppers. The green pepper taste overwhelmed everything. I wouldn't order this again. Respectable Italian at a great price. Stopped by Salvatori's for lunch with co-workers on a Friday... Good Italian food. The service was great and everyone was super friendly. The inside is a bit dated (but clean) and kind of a reminded me of an old steakhouse theme - kind of weird, but whatever. The food was solid... I'm picky on red sauce, and Salvatori's is quite good (miles above Ziano's and Casa's, which I do not think are particularly good at all). We ordered the bosco sticks (mozzarella stuffed bread sticks - insane), meatball appetizer, and spaghetti supreme. All of it was really solid, you get a ton of food (and I mean a ton), and it's all very well-priced. By and large, Salvatori's is the best Italian we've had since moving to Fort Wayne. read more

We've been eating at Savatori's for many years. We have been to most of their locations and love the food, the service and the atmosphere. One thing we have observed at the Auburn location is that the Italian music in the dining room is usually competing with a different type of music coming from the kitchen. We would enjoy the dining experience more if we were hearing just the Italian music. read more

Carryout Review I love the Spaghetti Supreme! Its sooo good. It's like pizza in a bowl. Gooey mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and other italian meats, green peppers, onions and the spinach and mushrooms I have them add all atop a mound of al dente noodles. Delicious! HOWEVER, I also thought I'd try to find me another favorite and tested out the Bistecca Marsala. It was awful! Dry. Underseasoned and just plain ol bland. Think the absolute worst version of Hamburger Helper you can imagine. I took a bite, tried (unsuccessfully) to doctor it up and threw all $13ish straight in the trash. I was crestfallen! They use canned products not fresh as they state. the lettuce was not fresh. The Alfredo pasta had no flavor. The ice tea was bland and weak. Would not recommend it maybe the pizza is better but still uses canned tomato sauce. The portions however are very large. read more

Besides the mouth-watering comfort food, welcoming atmosphere, and delectable drinks, my favorite part about this specific Salvs restaurant is the amazing wait staff. Specifically our server Kayleigh! We love coming to visit and she always greets us with a warm smile and excellent attendance. She always does great recommending new dishes to try and works around my husbands extensive allergies. Been coming here for years. Starting to think the standards have dropped. Came in a 5pm on Sunday and there was one other table occupied ; dead. Everyone else in the community must known and I didn't. Calzone was cooked a nice dark brown but was supper soft. Not crisp. How does that happen? All the cheese was placed in the food of the calzone and not spread out. No Ricotta in it. Someone that doesn't know calzones made this. read more

The food was great the portions are huge the spaghetti actually taste like the spaghetti that I make it home so no complaints there. It was just so incredibly hot on a Friday evening in there and that kind a messed up dinner just a little bit. Our server was attentive and brought everything out to us and kept us up-to-date with 1 foot will be there. If you get a small it's enough for two people but the large portion can feed 2 to 4 people at least prices were very manageable and a clean establishment. read more

Went to Salvatoris today for the first time today. Wanted to check them out because I live in Warsaw and there's a new location opening up here in a few weeks. We desperately need a good Italian restaurant. We had the meatball appetizer for starters, I ordered a meatball sandwich, my wife got the linguine and clams, and my daughter got shrimp alfredo. The service was great. But in all honesty, If I had tasted the meatball appetizer beforehand, I would have never ordered the sandwich. It's a texture thing for me. I like my meatballs browned in oil and garlic before going into the oven to finish. It gives a added flavor and contrasting texture profile to the meatball. I don't know how Salvatoris does there's, but they look like they're poached somehow. There's absolutely no browning whatsoever and the meatball is barely bonded together. The final result is a meatball that goes to mush instantly under a fork. Too tender!! And there is no depth of flavor to it. That's a hard pass for me ordering them in the future. My wife liked her linguine and clam sauce, didn't love it. Fortunately the portions are so huge here she ought a bottle of wine on the way home to make her own sauce for it. My daughter absolutely loved her Shrimp alfredo. Overall, nothing blew me away. I would love to see them step outside their comfort zone and take a few steps outside the atypical local Italian place. I've ate at this same place in every reasonably sized city across the country, the ubiquitous Italian joint that serves the same things, with the same flavor profile, albeit under different marquee's. When they come to town I'm going to try their pizza and a few other items before rendering final judgment. read more

Now, I drive here to pick up the food, and the order was lost... manager Mark begrudgingly offered barely an apology. I regret even giving them a tip after speaking to him.
