Bob and the team at Cabinet Tree Studio created our dream kitchen! We had a great experience with the design options that the team provided. Our kitchen table space was awkward and small, so they recommended a longer island that now serves as our dining space. Family gatherings are much easier with all the room for food and drinks and people. It's truly the gathering space! We got rid of the outdated desk and made the space functional again by adding cabinets and a space for a coffee station. The built-in wine rack, corner lazy susan and pull out utensil cabinet are also favorite features. The customer service is top-notch. They were transparent about cost and project timeline and worked with us to achieve exactly what we desired within our budget. When we had a few hiccups in the process which happens with any major project, they were ready with solutions that exceeded my expectations. They were clean and respectful of our home, always tidying up at the end of the day. They conducted a final walk through of the finished kitchen to ensure it met our satisfaction. EDIT... per back and forth texts with the company we decided to remove our original review and simply say we would never use them again, nor recommend them to friends or family. During the great freeze of '19 we got some water damage in our town home. Laminate floors destroyed and some minor wall damage but we took the opportunity to not only replace the floors but upgrade them across the whole first level and replace our aging cabinetry and powder room. We received several quotes and XLT Home Pro / Cabinet Tree Studios was in the median range price wise (one popular and highly rated design/build contractor was actually 3x their price and schedule duration!) and seemed to be enthusiastic about the job so we called them back and tweaked a couple requests. Within a week we had an amended quote and we signed. About two weeks later we had cabinet delivery and due to one of their other projects being slightly delayed they were able to push our project forward and started demo about a week after that. Week 1: Demo lasted about two days and they did their best to maintain order and keep the mess out of the rest of the home. They also took great care to save our granite counter tops to be reused. New can lights were installed with dimmer and the fridge water was line re-routed through a soffit. Over the next few days they laid wood look ceramic tile over the entirety of the on slab floor and installed the cabinets. Week 2: New tile backsplash installed and appliances quickly reinstalled to get our kitchen in semi working order for the duration of the project. Walls were patched and primed and new trim and casings installed in several locations with the bulk of the painting being completed. Week 3: Two or three days of final paint and punch list. Their crew was top notch. Everyone was friendly, polite and any small issue that arose was quickly corrected to our satisfaction. We added a few extra things in that were missed on our part and they were fair on the price. In a couple years we're planning a master bath remodel and I would without hesitation hire them again. read more

If you want to waste your money, receive poor quality installation, have complete lack of communications, and be frustrated throughout the entire process - Cabinet Tree in Plainfield is your place!! Bob, the owner, will lay down his Be eS and make claims he can't back up. He has limited experience in the industry and is what one would call a "shyster"! No quality control and no oversight. These are a bunch of "installers" who do just that - install without any consideration for the quality of their work or the quality of the product they're installing. We regret going with them and have been frustrated throughout the entire process. They quoted 8-10 weeks end to end but have have now exceeded 2x this duration. My advice - run away! Pay a bit more but be happier about the process and quality. read more

This year ,Cabinet Tree renovated my kitchen completely: floors, walls, cabinets, sink, appliances, lighting. The work done by the craftsmen was some of the best I've seen (and I've seen alot).I would trust any of the tradesmen to do work in my home. The design is great, setup for how I use the kitchen. I prepare food and cook every day and it is now designed to make all that work much easier than before. The kitchen is more functional and much brighter. We reached out to Cabinet Tree for a quote on an install of for quartz kitchen countertops. Bob was able to provide me with a couple recommendations of quartz that we may like & an estimate pending measurements. He was able to send out someone with samples & measure with a couple days. Then a couple days later we signed the contract & just a couple days later they were installed. It was only 5 days from measurement to install! So impressed with the way Cabinet Tree Studio really transformed our kitchen!! Their attention to detail, professionalism and speed at which things were done is most impressive. Home Depot quoted us 5-6 weeks to have a fully functional kitchen. We had soffits removed an island put it ( wood had to be added and flooring refinished as a result ). Even though there were a couple of surprises after soffit removal, they handled it swiftly and for a very decent price. This kitchen was ready in 3 weeks!! Good option for design build services at a competitive price. We worked with Bob and his team to develop a design for our kitchen and mudroom project. They did a nice job taking our ideas, showing us options, and translating them into a kitchen design. Bob was very attentive and customer focused. They provided us with a scope of work and budget that was lower than some of the big name builders out there. We ended up hiring another company that was a little better fit for the scope of our project, but we would consider Cabinet Tree again in the future. We recently completed a complete remodel of our kitchen. We worked with Cabinet Tree Studios in Plainfield IL for the entire job. Bob (owner) met with us several times as we worked through the design for the new kitchen. The whole process from design to completed new kitchen took over a year, BUT we dealt with COVID and supply chain issues during the process. Once we actually started demolition, things moved along smoothly and on schedule. Our house is over 100 years old, so we expected to encounter a few challenges along the way. It took about a half day to find the first one. The lath and plaster walls were woefully out of square, so we stripped all the walls and ceilings down to the studs. This added to the timeline to allow for new drywall to be installed, but the end result was worth the extra time and cost. Rey managed the project and did a lot of the finish carpentry. All of the folks who were involved in this project were delightful to work with: Bob, Madlyn, Jim and Holly did the design and drawings to ensure that everything would fit; Rey managed the job, Juan, Giovani, Marcus, Danny, Shawn, Mario, Elder, Cornel, Erik, Nico, Lamar, Ben, Chad, Dan, Carlos, Luis and Greg each played a big role in bringing this all together. The final product is beautiful and a pleasure to work in. The cabinets that we chose are the best quality we could find.
