Over a span of a 1 year Sam The Glasier worked with our schedule to install (18) windows. Hector was amazing. Helped us with making sure the frame of the windows sill would accommodate the installation of the new windows. One of the windows cracked the next day and there was no issue for STG to come back to reinstall a replacement window pane for the cracked window. We selected the bronze finish and it looks wonderful as part of the style of the house. We also did a picture window for the middle window of a set of one of the bay windows. We tried another well known window installer but they were more expensive and they did not offer the bronze finish. The windows are functioning very well. read more

Classless and essentially useless. Even when you are trying to give them your business. I'm embarrassed for them. No wonder they won't claim their business. They do not care about their business, and they don't care about yours. If you have tenants, avoid problems by avoiding here. A reasonable expectation is that a vendor, once they've measured, states the price and requirements for service. Otherwise, wth are you leaving a deposit on. Air? How do you come to take measurements twice, inconvenience a tenant, never follow up, and after several follow ups from your customer and non responses, blame the customer, because YOU forgot you needed a deposit on a price you never stated ? Fast, dependable and affordable make Sam the Glazier my first phone call for all my window needs. Our house's previous owner had replaced the skylight over the airshaft with a piece of plywood, and Sam the Glazier put in a new custom-made one quickly and at an affordable cost. We replaced the junky basement windows with a hopper-style window (facing the back yard) and paned ones in front. They are A-OK! Two of our windows had been stuck when the spring mechanism inside broke. The repairmen were so fast in replacing them, I was amazed. When my apartment window completely broke during a subletter's stay, one phone call, and it was fixed within the hour. I rarely take time to write reviews for businesses, but Sam is a well deserved exception! I have been purchasing mirror and glass from Sam for 20 or so years. Most shops that you'll call Will spend just the bare minimum amount of time needed to make a sale. Not only does Sam take time and answer whatever questions you've got, he seems to actually love what he does. He's always been extremely generous with his time, sharing his expertise, answering questions and helping with whatever needs I have. He's also got extremely competitive pricing. I would not recommend these guys. I walked in Friday morning and told them I had an emergency with a business enterance. They said tomorrow morning we will have it all done for you. I waited till 2pm the following day and when I rang them back they didn't know who I was or what appointment I was speaking about. When she called me back she said I was forgotten about and would not be seen till Monday at the earliest. When I asked to speak to someone who might know they said everyone was on holidays. If you are running a business or a home I would go elsewhere as there no1 priority is not the customer. read more

No frills glass shop. Came in the main entrance on the corner of Wilson Ave with a broken window pane and wasn't sure how long it would take to fix. I was pleasantly surprised when the gentleman working told me to return for pick up in one hour! The guy didn't take my info or anything, but lo and behold, I come back exactly one hour later and it was ready for me to bring home. It was $60 bucks and change in total, which seems fair. The only thing was that I needed white latches but they only had black available, so I went with that. I'd say don't bring your kids here because there is glass everywhere. read more

If you want to get your window glass repair, I would recommend Sam the Glazier. I have been going there for years, take out my window and take it there. The worker is hard working. He takes care of you quickly if he's working on something else, providing that no one else is in front of you. He definitely knows what he is doing. The price is great. If they are to upgrade their building, the the cost for the work will also be upgraded. So, sometimes it is best to take what you get and save a buck here and there. read more

I LOST A LOT OF MONEY BECAUSE OF THIS BUSINESS!!!! DO NOT HIRE THEM!!! They made a 9ftx9ft gaping hole in the ceiling of my business in the middle of winter- it was unbearably cold inside/ I was in the middle of trying to open the business- and it was too cold to have workers work in there and certainly not customers. I called everyday and each time (when they answered the phone) they said they were going to install the glass in a few days- there was an enormous hole in the roof for TWO fu$king months - and then, they finally told me they couldn't order a piece of glass large enough for the hole so I had to just have the roof rebuilt over it. read more

I scheduled an appointment to fix a door and on the day of the appointment, they told me they didn't have a record of the it and that they couldn't get the job done for another few days. That left me high and dry with a broken-glass door in the middle of December, so I had to go elsewhere. Unfortunately unreliable. read more

So this place has been around forever. I expected better....I called for a piece of safety glass for a table top. The guy was pleasant enough and even quoted me a price. I told him I'd be in and he says ok..I get there and the guy tells me: "Oh, you wanted it today??, I can't, I'm too busy". I spent the next 5 minutes explaining that I JUST CALLED, and that he knew I was coming over. They guy would'nt budge..so I'll take my business elsewhere. Major let-down.. read more

Sam the glazier was a professional who radiated a father like figure. He was soft spoken who never got excited and his men handled every window problem in our new home in Bushwick. Highly unprofessional. Came out and measured to replace a shower door, took over a month and many phone calls following up to finally get a voicemail saying they are "just too busy to make the shower door." My tenant is ready to kill me he's been waiting over a month for this door, now i have to start from scratch and get someone else to go back and measure. I placed a call for a quote and had the call returned by a man who identified himself as Sam, the owner. I had barely finished asking a question related to price and turnaround time when he rudely advised me to have my husband call in - as if women are somehow stupid and can't intelligently discuss these things. I won't deal with misogynistic immature people so I went elsewhere and suggest everyone else do the same. As a successful small business owner for 16 years, I know that when I deal with owners who are rude that usually means they are hiding something - shoddy work, poor turnaround time, client dissatisfaction... something. Why would anyone deal with a person who uses bullying tactics to stop someone from asking a legitimate question? Shady. read more
