We were very disappointed with this company. We purchased a small replacement awning and a new metal door. We showed the salesperson how to finish the bottom framing of the door and signed a contract. The door was not installed as agreed and there was an issue with the molding not affixed properly. We called for a repair visit and no one returned our call. Then we made an appointment for 12-3 , but no one called or came. We called back at 4:45 and were assured someone would be there that day. No one came. We made another appointment and the service man came, but claimed he wasn't given any parts. After a few minutes of discussion another employee came out of the same truck with the parts. That person then complained about the measurements, which had been taken by their salesperson, as being wrong and he had a negative attitude. I would not recommend this company. read more

My experience with this business was very disappointing and frustrating. I came to the showroom in October 2025 to discuss a balcony enclosure. I had a long meeting with the owner and we discussed my needs and the approval process required by my Management company. While I had lower quotes, I decided to go with a local company and I felt confident that they would do the best job. The project was on hold due to brickwork being done in my building. I notified the company back in March once the work was completed and the project could proceed. I called repeatedly for months, as well as sent e-mails and text messages. I never received a reply from the owners and the staff were clueless whenever I called. Finally, after five months of fruitless calls, an office worker told me that the owner said the company didn't have the type of insurance needed to proceed with the project. I don't understand why they wouldn't have told me this back in October 2025, as I clearly stated the requirements. I asked the office worker when my deposit would be returned and, although nearly a month has elapsed, I still haven't heard back. it's really unprofessional that no one kept in touch with me and I was kept waiting for a project that never materialized. I could have had the work completed months ago by another company. Due to serious pigeon infestations, I have not been able to use my balcony for the entire spring and summer. Furthermore, while I received lower quotes from other companies, their prices have increased and they will no longer honor my original quote. I gave a sizable deposit, which could have been earring interest in the bank. I am very disappointing because I liked the owner and thought the business was reputable. It's inexcusable not to return a customer's phone calls. If they no longer wanted to do the project, I should have been promptly notified and not left hanging for so many months and they should not have held on to my money. read more

After having my patio enclosure, installed by Fiberama about 1 1/2 years ago, I'm ready to leave a review. It's a big project, and I recommend that you read your contract very closely. I told the salesman I wanted a tinted covering. I assumed he put it in the order, but he didn't. When I called the owner, he wanted to charge an exorbitant fee for the change. We agreed to a fair price. However, he was initially nasty and raised his voice. Two days after the order, I wanted to have a "doggy door" instead of a regular door. I was told it was too late to make the change. I would end up with the original door, which they wouldn't take back, and the installed doggy door. I found it very difficult to understand, how Fiberama was not able to inform their door supplier of this change. I'm sure they have been dealing with them for a long time. The initial order indicated that the project would be completed in five weeks. So now I had an extra brand new door, which was quite expensive, and of course, the installed door. A few days after the installation, the screens starting falling out, and landed on the floor of my backyard. Eventually, most of them came out. An installer came to remeasure the windows, for replacement screens, and those fell out as well. I was informed that the representative from the window company, would come to look. The representative said I should have asked for half screens. These screens fit much better. I informed the rep that this option was not offered to me. I noticed during the winter months, that water was dripping and freezing in my backyard. It made it dangerous s to walk in the area of the ice. An installer came to check, and informed me that the existing leader/gutter was not installed correctly. He then installed another leader, which does not look good aesthetically. Contacting the office was not difficult, however, I did not always receive a call back. Installers sometimes came late, and didn't call me. One time they arrived hours later. I am enjoying my enclosure, however, I doubt if I would use this company again. read more

After calling Renewal by Anderson my mouth dropped when I was quoted 30K (plus interest if I financed) for 10 windows! I remembered the good experience I had with Fiberama with my sliding glass doors last year. They suggested the "gold leaf 3000" window. I googled the "u factor" of this window and discovered it to be superior to the Anderson windows. Fiberama installed my windows at a fraction of what Anderson quoted! From my experience with their sales person to installation and payment I could not be happier with this transaction. In this day and age where so few take pride in their product and service Fiberama is certainly the exception. I have been dealing with them for over 20 years. From my awnings, windows and security doors, each and every experience has been nothing short of fantastic. Most recently I had an issue with my patio awning and a support pole had to be repaired. Spoke to John in the service department and the following day the work crew was here to make the repair. Service crew came fixed the issue and replaced the damaged part in less than an hour. Their Magnum replacement windows from Royal Aluminum in Newark, N.J. are junk! The clips on each side you must press-in in order to tilt the windows in for cleaning are consistently crumbling and falling apart in my hands! They are made of chip and paper thin plastic and are a real product defect! I need to know if they improved on this defect and how I can get them all replaced for the 22 windows I have. So sorry I chose this company for my vinyl replacement windows and all phone calls to both them and the installer, Fiberama, on Staten Island remain unreturned and this nightmare unresolved to date! read more

I called Fiberama for an estimate on a new awning. They sent their repesentave Orlando. Orlando called and said he would be at my home after 12:30 which we agreed on. I called him at 3:00 and he said he would be here by four but only if he could find parking. I live in Park Slope and parking is hard. He said if he could not find parking he would just cancel. I was upset by his statement and called the company and spoke to John( The third generation of Fiberama) and cancelled. Around 5:00 Orlando showed up and I refused to let him in and sent him back to Fiberama after letting him know I spoke to his boss. On Friday, May31st my wife and I went to the factory and met with John, third generation. We reviewed what transpired and then loked and talked about getting a new awning. John was very helpful and we set up an appointment to met at my house on Monday at 1PM. I received a call from John at 2:00 that he was here with his truck but could not find parking. I suggested 7th Avenue which has meters but he said he just could not find parking but would still look. I called him several times on his cell phone and only received a recording. I called the office at 5:00, spoke to one ot their representatives and left a message for John to please call me, he never did. I called the following day and the same thing happened. This is not the way a profwssional company should run a business!!! As a result I will not do business with them and get my awning elseware. I just purchased new screen doors and a new front door to be installed from Fiberama. I went to the store to talk through my options (older home/smaller doors - the ultimate combo!) and set up a time for someone to come out and measure. I was quoted 6 weeks for the doors and they came in in 4 weeks! I was able to schedule the installation pretty quickly and they were installed perfectly. My doors look great and the people that installed it were kind, courteous, and actually left the front of my house looking better than it had when they got there with all of their gear. The rep who came to take measurements was kind and thorough. And the porch they created for me is FANTASTIC!!! Better than what we were imagining. Love it!!! The only issue here was the delivery date. 5-6 weeks was promised, but there was an issue at the place that manufactures the doors and the final installation took months. That said, it seems that the manufacturing issue was not their fault, AND they helped to secure some temporary screen in the meantime, so I could let my cats out, which was great. One other issues is that of the screen frames is bent. I'm sure they will take care of that when I make time to call them, because they have been responsive and great. The service at Fiberama is terrible , the woman who answers the phone should be fired immediately. A technician was supposed to come to my house to touch up the caulking on a window that has a hole in it between 2pm and 4pm. After calling them 4 times without a call back from the woman who schedules touch ups, no one ever showed up. When I called back this woman told me that the tech came and no one answered the door. When I told her that was not true she had the nerve to tell me "why would he lie?". Now I know why this company has 3 stars on Yelp. Fiberama's office is unorganized and the not service forward. Don, in response to your comments about me being a competitor to build my business just proves that you are a terrible businessman and need to take a class on responding to your customers on Yelp. My mothers is your customer, you replaced the windows in her Brooklyn Home. Her last name is Bumbalo. Please ask your service person what the issue is, 4 phone calls to get someone out to repair the caulking on one of the windows, she then tells me someone will be there between 1pm and 4pm. When no one came at 4:30 I called the office and she had the nerve to tell me that the tech came, rang the bell and we didn't answer. I then replied that was BS and she told me "why would he lie?". Called Don and he immediately assigned Rolando to my home for measurments, and gave me an estimate. The installation date was about 2 weeks later which i think it's pretty reasonable. The installation department told me the crew will arrive between 0900am-1100am.. The crew arrived at 1000am sharp. They were very knowledgeable, courteous, and the job was very well done. Disgusting. Stay far away from Fiberama. I ordered two steel entry doors and two steel storm doors on 04/14/2023. This is the Fiberama in Brooklyn. Salesman came down and said it would be about four weeks to make the doors and gave him $3000.00 deposit. This was a lie because it has been almost four months and the doors have not been made. I call them every two weeks and the woman with a bad attitude tells me she will call me back in a few minutes. She lies, she never calls me back. I call back again and she tells me the doors have not been made yet. I asked for my deposit back, she says no read your contract. They should fire this woman. Fiberama has the worst customer service. Called lying Don on 07/28/2023 and he told me it would be another two weeks to get parts for doors and another additional week to assemble doors. Three more weeks. I had a canopy and enclosures installed this year. The contract was written in January and the enclosures, screens, and doors promised for April. April became May, and not until mid-June were the enclosures installed. This may have been due to the supply chain slowdown from COVID shutdowns in the NYC area and supplier China so I'll give them a pass for that. The workmanship was very good, the workers neat and polite. I would recommend Fiberama. Thanks for the founder, a WWII veteran still working at the shop. read more

Mainly, keep out cold and they don't lock well at all. Called them back and they DON'T WANT TO KNOW YOU, their warranty does nothing an means nothing. I picked up a HOME IMPROVEMENTS guide last night in a restaurant and called today. I saw the ad for replacement windows advertised at $299 per window installed for 100 UI or smaller. I was quoted by a guy by the name of Sal $365 a window installed. I told him the ad says $299 per window, He said the company doesn't advertise in Home Improvement Guide anymore!!!!???? What the hell does that have to do with the price in the current book???? I asked him if this sounds like someone hanging up...........very pleased that this happened because after reading online about FIBERAMA'S horrible reputation, I would never have done business with them anyway. I had Robin on the phone again and it was a pleasant conversation; she remembered me and the job that was previously done for my home. We set up an appointment for an estimate, and I requested Donnie Jr. as my salesman again since our last encounter surpassed my expectations. He was early in arriving to my house, calling to inform me he was on his way, and everything was done swiftly and professionally. About two weeks after the estimate, I received a phone call from Robin to schedule an appointment for installation and was fortunately able to be penciled in at my earliest convenience. Set up a time and date for his partner Sal to come over to measure. Sal was nice and very honest because I did shop around. Great price and started the work the next week. Donnie had 4 workers come over to put up awning. Those guys were fantastic and very perfecional. Came at 9am finished at 5pm. The very next morning, Donnie called me up at 8:30 and asked me if I liked the awning. I told him like it? I love it. I told him I would recommend him to anybody who was looking to have work done on their house. I thought it was so nice and kind of Donnie to call me and ask if I was happy with the awning. Wouldn't use them ever again, purchased a baywindow and had it installed, drafty from day one, there solution was to add caulking, never resolved the drafty issue, now window is leaking and i have mold growing on the inside, soultion they offered, we will comew back and caulk it, but you have to pay a service fee, what about the draft still coming from the window you ask, never addressed. read more
