We had never met, but we exchanged dozens of e-mails and I sent her photos to give her an idea about my style and overall look. Her communication was superb and her passion evident through her writing. Samantha arrived promptly at my house early in the morning as was negotiated, and she came 100% prepared with her suitcase full of her tools, kits and potions! She is amazingly clean and sanitary. I am a nurse and also have a lot of skin allergies and issues, but I vow wholeheartedly that Samantha uses the highest standards when applying makeup to others. My maid of honor was in total agreement with this as well. The makeup for myself and my maid of honor turned out beautifully. Samantha applied individual lashes to me, instead of the single bands, and people kept remarking how awesome my eyes looked and how she did it!! Our wedding pictures also look fantastic!! All my blemishes were covered and the HD makeup she used worked wonders. In addition to all of the above, Samantha is an amazing person to work with on a professional level. She has great energy, compassion and a tremendous amount of knowledge regarding makeup as well as skin care. She is someone that has turned what she loves into a career and this is the type of person you want to work with. Samantha did my makeup for my wedding in September and she was fantastic! From the beginning to the end of our trial session she made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. I was a bit nervous, since I don't wear a lot of makeup and I didn't want to look like a different version of myself at the end. Samantha listened to all of my requests and answered my questions the whole time. She also has a great, down to earth and funny way about her that helped tremendously. After the session, I emailed her my thoughts and the things I wanted to keep and change and she was welcoming of everything I said. I LOVE SAMANTHA LENNON! OK where do I start? I met with Sam a few weeks ago for a wedding day makeup trial. Right from the start I knew we would get along so well! She's super friendly and personable. Not only that but she's VERY professional arriving 10 minutes early to our scheduled time. Her equipment and supplies were organized so well and she even verified her hygiene procedures. She made sure each brush was clean before starting. She took her time in explaining all her services to me and went into detail with each step during the makeup application process. It was a great learning experience especially since I don't know much about makeup! The finish result was amazing :) I'm still in awe of how how beautiful it came out! Samantha is a good as it gets, if not better. I booked her on such short notice for my sweet 16 and she replied quickly and fit me into her schedule with no problem. She came to my house right on time. Not only is she an amazing make-up artist but she's a wonderful person as well. She was respectable, listened to what i wanted, wasn't pushy, and she very extremely easy to talk to. For my sweet 16 we ran around the city for hours and the make-up looked even more gorgeous as time went on. She is also very neat as well. She set up a whole station and came with all the supplies she could possibly need. She also gave me amazing advice on my skin. She knows what she's doing and is great at it. I just had an in-home consultation with Samantha, and I wish I could have done so years ago. I will be brief so as to avoid boring you with my gushing: 1. She taught me how to pluck and shape my eyebrows - I learned that when done correctly, this is pretty simple and painless, and I don't need to drop so much $$$ on waxing, threading, etc. when this is something I can easily do myself. 2. She taught me how to apply makeup and what kind of products are best for me. This seemed like a mysterious and dark art - I learned that it is not - it's really fun and far more simple than I imagined. 3. Her pricing is very reasonable - this was totally affordable for me. 4. Each product and its application was explained in great detail, so that I understood exactly WHY we were taking each step and applying each item. It really helped when it came to me doing my own make up, using her instructions. I took notes, which was also very helpful, so that I can think of Sam's instructions every time I do my make up. Sam did the makeup for my wedding this past August 2011 and she was wonderful. Not only did she drive up 3hrs outside of the city, but she was able to take on another person at the last minute. She did the make up for myself and six other women, ranging from 29 to 68 with dark and light skin tones and requests for natural to heavier looks. She was professional, but also very relaxed and friendly. And most importantly, I looked great!! The makeup stayed for the whole night and I found my last fake eyelash two days later (I liked them so didn't try to remove them). I had hired Samantha Lennon back during the winter of 2009 to help me learn how to apply makeup on myself. I specifically wanted to learned how to do the NO-Makeup - Makeup look. I learned just that and then some more; a lot more! She came to my house with an arsenal of makeup and skin goodies. What a lifesaver! I always have so much fun on Halloween but take it very seriously. I waited until the last minute last year to figure out makeup (at which I am useless) but, luckily, Samantha was there to save the day (and nights)!
