OK, how do I put this delicately?…read more I didn't have an awful experience, and i would go back. The spa itself was nice and clean. The front desk staff was very welcoming when I entered. My technician was pretty much on time. So, you may be wondering why the three stars? Well, I'll break it down for you. When I was taken back to the room for my appointment, the person that was doing my service SEEMED very knowledgeable. I was getting eyebrow lamination, getting my eyebrows dyed, getting my lashes lifted and also dyed. Everything seemed to be going well during the services, but that all ended when she was done and handed me the mirror. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My eyebrows looked CRAZY! I was in shock, they were HUGE and black. Theres NO way she thought they looked remotely good. She did tell me that they would calm down after a few days, that they just looked like that because I just had them colored. Mind you, I have black hair, so they shouldn't have looked that crazy. I mean, they took on a life of their own. A few days passed and they still looked like they were about to jump off my face. I saw my sister about a week after I got them done and she said... WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR EYEBROWS?!?!? I was like... its good to see you too. I mean the brows were very noticeable. Its been awhile now, and they aren't like they used to be. Thank goodness, but it did take awhile. She also didnt do a very good job shaping them, and I noticed some of my brow looked like it had a small chunk out if it. That part is still growing back in. I also dont know what's happening, but some of my brow hairs are LONG. I don't know how that happened, maybe its just a sign of aging, but I do wish that she would have trimmed them and gave me some kind of shape to them. Needless to say, my brow experience wasn't the best. My eyelashes on the other hand looked great! I loved them. I'd go back for my eyelashes again, but I'll leave my brow work to someone else. When I was leaving and went up to pay, they rang me up. I noticed that there wasnt a spot to leave a tip. I asked them and they said that they were a no tip spa. I wasnt mad about that at all. So my experience wasn't the best, but I think that it wasn't super bad either.

I love Mayada & she has been coloring & styling my hair for many years. I will follow her to the ends of the world, that is how talented she is. They asked to buy the deal once I'm there as they have to consult my hair, which was very fair. I was also told that there may be additional costs if I needed other services on top of that. As I've used Groupons for hair services earlier, so I was aware of that already and was open to work around with them. Upon consulting on my appointment day, I wanted to add root touch up and hair treatment. So total for hair cut, highlights, style, root touchup and treatment came to about $135 including the Groupon deal. I showed them a photo of how I like my hair to be. The lady who did my hair was very nice, she suggested what would go well with my hair. I trusted her and asked her to go with her ideas. I'm satisfied with the way my hair looked after service. Although I'd have preferred to see layers of different colored highlights like in the photo that I showed. However, partly my fault I dint specifed that. Everyone in their staff were nice. As it was raining when I left, one of the lady came to hold an umbrella to cover me to get to my car. Really loved their customer service. I explained concerns from a previous experience here solely to clarify my preferences and ensure a good stylist match. Instead of asking follow-up questions or discussing fit, he made a snap judgment that I "wouldn't like it here," refused to explain his reasoning, and abruptly ended the call. Declining a client is one thing; doing so without explanation and hanging up is another, ESPECIALLY when at no point did I talk or behave in a way that was inappropriate, or out of line. I did my due diligence as a client. I was consistently polite, never lodged formal complaints, never criticized stylists directly for their work, and compensated fairly with tips regardless of personal preference or outcome. Being abruptly told that I'm not a good fit there by a receptionist/"manager" who is not the service provider and does not have firsthand involvement in the stylist-client relationship is not only disproportionate and inappropriate but a role violation. While I understand that businesses may set boundaries when a client crosses a line, that was not the case here. The decision to cut off service without prior discussion, warning, or involvement from the stylist themselves was uncalled for, completely baseless, and outside of his role. This is outside of his authority to make this abrupt subjective judgement call. His conduct falls below acceptable ethical, moral and professional standards. A qualified manager would have asked what didn't work previously and determined whether the salon could meet those expectations. That conversation never happened. This action was extreme, beyond unjustified, especially given that no complaint was being made at the time and no misconduct had occurred Sharing this for others who value respectful communication and professional consultation when booking services.

The stylist did a good job at first, but once she got to the top of my head, she started cutting off much more hair than I wanted without asking first. After the hair had already been cut, she then asked if I wanted it styled that way. By that point, it was too late to change anything. The biggest issue was the lack of communication. A quick conversation before making such a significant change would have avoided this entire situation. Unfortunately, because of this haircut, I'll likely be wearing a hat for a while until it grows back.
