Ever since Dr .Schmidt retired it has progressively gone down hill. Dr. Bowers is a decent dr but too busy to see anyone quickly.. My cat had an abscess and needed dental attention quickly. . Dr. Sowerby gave him two rounds of antibiopics that did nothing. I trusted Dr. Green who was the only dr available to do dental surgery and basically killed my cat . Im sure it was unintentional But all they care about is making money! My $1000 initial quote ended up $2700... I was mislead about the outcome of surgery and he was over medicated causing death.. He was so wasted he couldn't even walk and had labored breathing... I Was told he was doing great and just needed to sleep off the medication. Less then 5 hours after picking him up he passed away.. I would have gladly paid any amount for a different outcome ...! So sad... You need to be up front with your customers about potential outcome... Shane on you all! So much for being loyal to a place I've trusted for years and given thousands of dollars to.. I will do everything I can to stop people from coming to you!

I find his manner to be dismissive and lacking empathy. In situations involving very ill or dying animals, a compassionate approach makes a significant difference. I reached out to Angel Veterinary Services and was able to hold sweet toothless half blind and deaf fur baby as she crossed. It was very heartbreaking. I am so thankful for AVS for the kindness and compassion my pup received. They allowed me to read from a journal, hold her as long as needed, clipped some fur and gave me a clay imprint of her paw. A week or so later I received a handwritten card in the mailbox. Truly grateful.

Extremely Disappointed With Our Experience After a horrific…read moreinjury to our dog Gunner, we rushed him to this emergency veterinary clinic. We waited hours before anyone came in to speak with us, and eventually we were sent home and told we would be called when his procedure was complete. We later learned Gunner's injury was so severe that he had to have his toe amputated. After another couple of hours, we were called to pick him up. When they brought him out, his foot was completely bloody and dripping with no bandage or covering. Blood was getting all over the lobby, our vehicle, and Gunner. I asked if it could at least be covered, but was told they didn't want to because of swelling. I understand swelling is a concern, but after the traumatic night we had just experienced, seeing our dog carried out looking like he had just come from a freaking war was heartbreaking. We paid $2,000 for his care. I decided to reserve judgment and see if they would at least call the next day to check on him. They never did. In all my years of having dogs, I have never had a veterinary office fail to follow up after a procedure--even after routine vaccinations. After an emergency surgery and amputation, I expected at least a simple phone call. Thankfully, Gunner is doing well and recovering at home. But I am 150% disappointed with the lack of communication, compassion, and follow-up. If this hadn't been an emergency, I would have driven the extra five minutes to another clinic. **UPDATE -- Two Weeks Later** I wanted to update my original review because there have been some significant developments since I first shared our experience. The day after I posted my original negative review, I was only then contacted by the clinic to check on how Gunner was doing. Unfortunately, two weeks after Gunner's toe amputation, he developed postoperative complications that required another emergency veterinary visit at a different clinic. We ultimately spent more than $500 at that clinic for treatment, including additional medications, bandaging, and follow-up care. This brought our total expenses related to this ordeal to more than $2,400. After I requested reimbursement for the additional emergency care, I was contacted by management. During our conversation, she told me that she had reviewed the footage of Gunner being brought out to us after his surgery and agreed that the situation should have been handled differently. She acknowledged that we should have been taken into a room, that we should have been given better postoperative instructions, and that more time should have been spent with us rather than sending our still half-sedated dog out into the lobby with a bleeding surgical site. She also told me that, as a result, the clinic had changed its policy and would now begin calling emergency patients the following day rather than waiting two days to check on them\. I appreciate that the clinic recognized these issues and made changes. However, despite acknowledging that Gunner's discharge and postoperative care should have been handled differently, management offered to reimburse us only $200 of the additional veterinary expenses we incurred. I understand that complications can happen, and I have never claimed that the infection was definitively caused by the original surgery. My concern has always been the lack of appropriate postoperative care and followup after an amputation, and the fact that another veterinarian was concerned enough about Gunner's surgical site to provide additional treatment and followup that should have been addressed from the beginning. At this point, I am extremely disappointed with how this entire situation has been handled. We trusted this clinic with our dog's care during a terrifying emergency, spent more than $2,400 dealing with the injury and subsequent complications, and were ultimately left feeling that both Gunner and our family deserved better. I will not be returning to Gilbert Queen Creek Emergency Veterinary, and based on our experience, I cannot recommend this clinic to other pet owners.

I originally stopped going due to some concerns I had at the time with the older facility and decided to take my pets elsewhere. Since then, they have reorganized and renovated, and I can honestly say my experience has been very positive since returning. The staff is friendly, the pricing feels reasonable, and they offer a lot of support and guidance whenever I have questions. I recently brought my dog Luna in to discuss a spay procedure, and I felt like all of my questions were answered thoroughly. I left feeling very comfortable and confident moving forward with her care. One of the biggest advantages is their hours--they are open late and also on weekends, which is incredibly convenient compared to most veterinary offices that are only open standard 9-5 hours with limited Fridays. I also really appreciate the wellness plan. Even though I also have pet insurance, the wellness plan covers a lot of routine exams and even things like nail trims, which makes visits quick and easy since I just request it each time. There was an issue when my puppy was first seen, but I have to give credit where it's due--they addressed it properly, corrected the situation, and ultimately regained my trust. No place is perfect, but overall I feel confident and comfortable continuing to bring my puppy here moving forward.

We have 1 dog and 2 cats, and we put all of them on the health plans because we thought it would be cheaper to use the plans for dental cleanings and bloodwork. My first hint that signing up maybe wasn't a good idea was when the receptionist ladies cheered and said "we got another sign up!" The plan really didn't make anything easier for us. We were still being pushed to pay for a stool sample for our dog because we didn't turn it in at the same time as the bloodwork, so they just assumed we did both. When I explained that we just hadn't had time to turn in the stool sample, that's when they told me the two should be done at the same time for the health plan to cover it. Ok fine. We didn't get charged that time so no worries. Later, our cat of less than 1 year contracted FIP. Instead of using our health plan to try and save our cat, the first suggestion was that we may want to put her down. That was an unacceptable answer. My wife and I, with the help of our cat's breeder, got in contact with a Facebook group for FIP, and in short we were able to get an experimental medicine that has a high track record for eliminating it. Low and behold, our kitty lived. No thanks to this clinic. And even with an appointment scheduled, there is always a 15 minute wait to see a vet. So common that we expected it every time and just allotted time for the wait in our day. Lastly, we were still being charged after we moved from the area and canceled our health plan. When I called to get the charges reversed, I was told the health plan coordinator was on vacation for 3 weeks and she was the only one who could reverse those payments. Not the manager, not the head vet, just this one person whose only job is to manage what I imagine is a very lucrative product for them. Everything about this business just screams greed to me. I hope they look back at my experience and make some caring and positive changes for other pet owners in the community.

I first came to San Tan Animal Hospital when my little male Pomeranian had a problem with his eye…read more I was worried that if I delayed he might lose his vision in that eye so when our regular vet couldn't get him in, I searched Yelp and decided to call San Tan Animal Hospital. They got him in that day and over the course of 3 visits a week apart, healed his badly scratched cornea. So then when my little female Pomeranian had a problem with limping that didn't get taken care of by my original vet, I brought her to this same clinic. They found what was causing the limp and are treating her. They got me in quickly, there was not a long wait in the waiting room, which I'd experienced at the other vet and find stressful for myself and my dog, and everyone was wonderful. Yesterday my little boy was so ill, they drew blood, urine, and sent me home with pain meds for him. They quickly diagnosed that he was in a diabetic crisis (my wording, not theirs), called me since we'd left already, and they explained he neededd to go immediately to an emergency vet to get a large amount of IV fluids and insulin. Due to his advanced age - 14 - I decided after consulting with Dr. Getty that it was time to let him cross the rainbow bridge. Even as busy as they were they fit me in almost immediately. They quickly found a room for me to wait in, explained what would happen, and did everything they could to make both me and my sweet boy comfortable. Monika and Dr. Getty were so very kind, caring, and compassionate. They stayed with me with my little guy went to sleep and were careful to let me know I could sit with him until I was ready to leave. Once I was ready, they led me out a side door so I didn't have to go through the waiting room, which was very kind. I can't recommend this vet practice highly enough. I'd give them 100 stars if that was possible! Don't hesitate to take your cherished pet to this veterinary practice. My dogs have been seen by 3 vets and their tech here and everyone has been fantastic. The office staff is also wonderful and as kind and caring as the rest of the staff.

Got to know us some and of course got to know Chloe. We then met Dr. Sarah. She was super nice, actually got on the floor with Chloe for part of the examination and interaction with her. We absolutely LOVE this pace and will be bringing our other two mastiffs here! What I will also say and was very impressed with was we received a few hours later a summary of our visit with the Dr and vet tech we say, what was done, when blood work should be back in, etc. This right here is a great idea to send to customers to keep on hand. The items that were not explained to me was that you can't just cancel the plan anytime. Your pet has to die or move far enough away then they will allow a cancellation. So I initially went in because my dogs anal glands were needing to be expelled. So I got medication and that procedure done. Then I was told that my dog probably needed some dental work and that it's included in the plan. So I set up an appointment for that. They told me the only extra cost would be if they needed to extract a tooth. Of course when the time came they said one needed to be extracted. I asked specifically, prior to the appointment, how much an extraction would cost. They wouldn't give me a price and said it just depends. During surgery though, I got the call saying one needed to be extracted and that it would cost such and such dollars because it was estimated to take about 10-15 minutes to extract. She quoted me a price that was PER MINUTE rate. So they indeed know how much they charge, just not exactly how long it will take to extract each tooth. But they could have told me an estimate for different teeth. Such as a molar normally takes 10-15 minutes and they charge by the minute to extract the teeth. But no, they wait until they have the dog under anesthesia and asleep to put the pressure on you to extract a tooth and not give you any time to think about it. So now I'm not using the services and my dog doesn't always stay with me so I requested to cancel my membership. They told me the dog has to either be dead or move a certain distance away for them to cancel. So I sent in the cancellation paperwork. I sent it in on February 17 and I just heard back today March 28, 2026 on their decision. They said they would allow me to cancel but I have to pay for the rest of the dental procedure cost, which was 595$ dollars. This is 900 dollars minus 4 monthly payments. So they said I can keep the plan for another 6 months and then I can reapply to cancel and by then I would have paid off the remaining balance. All of this was not told to me when signing up. In fact I never received any physical or electronic agreement/terms. I know I signed something at the office but this was also done in a quick manor as I was paying for the bill for my dogs visit. You know, the whole you can save this much if you sign up for this plan type deal. I just feel like this is bad business practices and very scam/buyer beware type of thing. So now I'll have a wellness plan for my dog for the next 6 months but I'll never bring my dog back there. Such an untrustworthy and very bad business practices.

They treated both me and my dog with so much care, and I will always be grateful for the way they showed up during an incredibly difficult time. The doctors especially were amazing--knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested. However, my experience with the Lovet Essentials Plan left me with a very different feeling. I signed up for the plan when my dog was completely healthy. Just two months later, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of liver cancer and ultimately passed away. During those two months, I was at the vet constantly, and I will say--the plan was incredibly helpful during that time. What was heartbreaking, though, was what happened after. Because my dog passed away so soon after enrolling, I was required to pay back the full cost of the plan. There were no exceptions to the policy, despite the circumstances. This came after already spending a significant amount of money between Lovet and the animal hospital trying everything I could to save my pup. While the staff handled everything with kindness and empathy, the corporate policy itself felt incredibly rigid and, honestly, like a blow during an already devastating time. Losing my best friend was hard enough--this just made it harder. The only reason I've knocked stars off my review is because of this experience with the plan. I want to be very clear that the veterinarians and staff are wonderful, and they deserve recognition for the care they provide. I just hope the policy side of things can become more compassionate for situations like mine.
