Best pizza in Cleveland !! Clean atmosphere and friendly staff!! Everything on the menu is delicious !!

Finally. A legit NY-style pizza joint around here. Except, these folks are a helluva lot nicer than your typical NYC pizza guys. I'm always honest in my reviews, and many times to a fault. All of that to say that the pizza around here has been horrible, with sauce that is sweeter than a sundae from Honey Hut, and crust that is in line with the Chef Boyardee stuff that I grew up on. Mimi's is different. The crust is foldable. The sauce is essentially tomatoes, oregano and garlic. And these guys were willing to put eggplant on my pizza. (No, I'm not vegan. But eggplant is divine!) In addition to the good pizza here, the service is phenomenal. These guys treated us like family ... even with a to-go order. I'm a Houston guy. I come here because my daughter is a patient at the Cleveland Clinic. The food around here leaves much to be desired, in my humble opinion, but Mimi's brings me some joy. read more

Came here to try for pizza week 2025. They have a NY style pizza either cheese or pepperoni for $12. We drove there to try from the southeast side. Little place in a strip mall. Easy to find. Across from Heinens on Bagley. Little place mostly take out but they have 2 little seats and tables inside that we ate at. We came too far to do take out. Ordered the pepperoni and a Lg salad to split. Menu looks good they have specials and other Italian options and entrees besides pizza. The cashier was telling us they make all the menu items in house. The pizza is NY thin. And that's what I like. So that's what we got. The salad came out first and we chose their house dressing which was a white balsamic. It's sweet but good. Salad was OK. The pizza came out in about 20 mins. Big enough for 2 of us. It was thin and crispy. Could have been a bit more pepperonis on it and some more cheese but it was good. Undercarriage was crispy and sauce was good too. I'd give it on the Portnoy scale a 7.6. Would I get it again. Ya if I was in the area. Staff super nice. Lots of parking. Overall good experience. read more

Wanted to try their pizza by the slice but the meatball sub caught my eye so ordered to go took about 15 minutes. Came into the shop. There is a couple tables you can sit and eat but looks like mostly a takeout spot. Pizzas look great and the meatball sub I got look good. They have a little seasoning bar with Parmesan, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Thought that was nice. bread was fresh,soft, tasted homemade. meatballs also tasted homemade along with the sauce, traditional, Italian flavor. one of the better meatball subs I've had in the city. I would go back and get it again. Next time I'll try the pizza. read more

My brother raved about this pizza so I was excited to try it while I was in town. We got two 18" hot honey pepperoni pizzas (with the hot honey on the side) and a 14" white pizza with spinach added. Price was a little high, about $80 for those 3 pizzas, but the quality was totally worth it. The crust was perfect and definitely NY style. I loved the hot honey pepperoni. Their sauce was really good too. Not too sweet or too acidic. Also love the convenience of ordering ahead online. read more

This was my first time getting pizza from Mimi's because my group was tired of getting my usual pizza when I visited. We ordered a pizza to go and the prices were pretty decent for most things on the menu. The pizza was really good! I have to say it may have bumped a usual pizza spot out of my top 5 in the area. So hard to sometimes find new pizza places. Wanting to try something different. I went to Mimi's in Middleburg Heights. You're not only able to get to buy slices of different pizzas to try them, but their prices are inexpensive. Unlike some of the other bigger pizza shops that have opened in Lakewood and Avon not naming any names. You can a gourmet pizza here for under $20. Had a slice of the sausage pizza last night. It was perfect. Not a really thick crust to overwhelm it. Sausage was decently distributed. Will go back to try other flavors. read more

Even with a mishap of our order that was to no fault of Mimi's. They were cool calm and collective. Staff works well together and my favorite part, you can see right into the kitchen when you walk in. With a nice little seating area out front for you to sit and wait if your order isn't done yet. Visiting from Maryland, we stumbled into Mimi's and it felt more like a warm, happy kitchen than a restaurant. The staff clearly love what they do, every recommendation was spot-on, and the pizza was incredible -- perfectly balanced and fresh. What really stood out was how they treated us: total out-of-towners who were welcomed like regulars (even surprised us with dessert!). Cleveland Pizza Week is a great opportunity to try pizza shops that I have not been to before; I am so happy that I tried Mimi's Pizza. Even though Mimi's is on the other side of town, I figured I would grab a pie after work; it helped that the Yelp reviews for Mimi's were so good. Mimi's is a small shop in a little plaza on Bagley Road, when I got there the place was busy. Mimi's is a very compact spot, most of the shop is the kitchen with a small service counter and a display of slices and garlic knots, all of which looked great. There are 2 small tables jammed into the window, both occupied by families enjoying their pizzas. I grabbed my cheese pizza and added some grated cheese and garlic powder to customize to my taste. The pizza smelled so good that I had to have a couple of slices on the ride home; I also had the rest of the pizza over the next couple of days and it was delicious. Mimi's makes a New York style pizza and they do a great version; the crust is thin with just enough rise to add some chew, the sauce is nicely balanced and the cheese is generous and just the right amount of tangy. Overall the ingredients come to together to make a pizza even better than the individual elements. My only criticism was that the pizza was a bit undercooked for my taste, but that is the style; when reheated at home the pizza was near perfect. I would highly recommend Mimi's Pizza, it is the best example of New York style pizza I have found in the Cleveland area. They know what they want to do and do it very well. Pizzas were tasty. I really enjoyed the pepperoni. They could have had more color and baked longer, but they reheated nicely too. I had wanted the white pizza either spinach they had listed for pizza week, but gave me a margarita instead, which I don't care for since I hate tomatoes. This place offers pizza by the slice. I paid $8.50 for 2 big slices - one cheese, one with sausage & pepperoni. Both were tasty and had a crisp thin crust. I find this place to have very good pizza. It's great New York style pizza. The downside is it's expensive, you have to pick it up yourself, and the toppings are very sparse. When I order extra cheese I expect to have cheese in every bite. With a big pizza I expect a topping to be in multiple parts of each slice. I don't find this at Mimi's. I will probably eat here still, but not as much as I would if the toppings sufficiently filled the pizza. read more

Went for a special drive in during the summer. This has to be the best NY style pizza I had since my last place closed before the pandemic. Large slices and it is worth the trip. I could not tell you anything about the store inside, seeing they were serving everything outside due to the special event going on, but I will go back...even though I don't eat a lot of carbs... but if your going to cheat, at least feel good about it and enjoy the food. read more

Remember the guy who used to make all the fresh NY style pies at Capri Pizza with the old ownership group? Welp...he's "the guy" here at Mimi's now! Came in for a few slices and was really wowed by the service and the quality of their pies. They have a two-slice lunch special that comes with a small bag of chips and a bottle of pop that is truly unbeatable, especially given the size and taste of this pizza! While I was sitting there, they'd also just taken a batch of garlic knots out of the oven, so I got to sample one of those as well (with sauce for dipping, of course)...delish! Small inside with limited seating as they are mostly a take-away operation, but either way get on your horse and get over here to give these folks a try! Pizza by the slice for my hubby and pizza fries for me. Waffle fries with sauce and toppings. They were SOOO good. I have a wheat allergy so it was a fantastic option. Everyone in here is super friendly! The owner will chat with you for awhile if they aren't slammed. He is STRAIGHT outta New York, so this pizza isn't messing around. Today was my going away party and my team teacher ordered several pizzas from this store. The pizzas were stone cold, dry, tasteless and very simply... bad. When no one eats the pizza you know there is a problem. I know she paid a lot of money and I feel bad that the owner decided she deserved a tongue lashing. First, the food. It's some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life (that includes in NYC). If you're looking for a real NY style pizza place, look no further. This is the spot. Several weeks back my wife and I got a large pepperoni pizza. On my wife's second last piece of pizza she found a hair on it. A hair that was the same as the owner's hair. Two days later I stopped by to complain about it, but the owner's weren't in. I left my name and number and asked for them to call, but never received one. read more

NY style pizza in NE Ohio. They offer by the slice, but we did a whole pie, the Milano with their spicy sauce & cupping pepperoni & it was great! They make the slices wide, so if you don't want that, either ask, or cut them to your preference at home. Loved it & will be back! read more
