I've been gigging here for the past 5 years as a musician and its always a pleasure to play here at Sammy's Patio! Sammy's has a great growing music community whether if it's a hip-hop show, a rock show or a metal show, the community are filled with great people and friends! No drama, no fights, just music and good times. The sound has improved and it is loud! You can hear the vocals very well. They also mic up the guitar amps/bass amp and the kick drum for clarity. So to those who are ear sensitive/likes to save their ears, bring ear plugs. Otherwise enjoy the sound! They may have a cover charge for music shows, however, that cover charge is supporting all the bands/artists playing that evening! So be courteous and support! Not to mention there's great prices on mixed drinks as well as both bottled and drafts beers starting from $4 bucks! Just make sure to tip! This venue is CASH ONLY (no credit cards) but they recently installed a new ATM for convenience! Sammy's Patio is a great place to spend time with friends for a good time with great local music! If you said YES to those three questions then you'll love Sammy's! Located just steps away from the hypodermic needle infested Revere Beach, this venue looks to have once been a strip club and before that a gambling parlor. Regardless, it's where it's at to catch brutal local and touring metal bands on most weekends and random weeknights. After getting destroyed by Sammy's booze and metal, poseurs can decide not to commit vehicular manslaughter and instead opt to ride the MBTA's blue line home. Man im telling you, you cant make this shit up. This place is straight out of a horror movie. If you are a writer and need character outlines for the next Deliverance film, this is your spot. My friends and I literally laughed out loud at the patrons and bartender while we were there, of course they had zero clue. The drama was awesome, if you like slumming it and laughing at the most sever cases of arrested development in Revere all sitting in one bar, go here. Bring your kids, its an educational experience. You can teach them what not to be. Who to run from and who to never associate with all in one sitting. This joint is a gold mine. I have played and attended many shows here over the past 4 years. The community is great, the bar has a decent location on Revere Beach Boulevard with certainly enough parking around. The staff has worked hard there to improve this venue over the years by adding security, booking staff as well as new sound and stage equipment, ceiling, and general repairs. The Sammy's you enter now is not the Sammy's of years past but has become a well oiled machine thanks to the staff, including the booking agent, Dante of Killer Robot Promotions who always books awesome bills and makes sure that bands are nicely accommodated and paid and of course the owners and bar staff. read more

this place is a fucking joke. i was just there yesterday and the night staff is so incompetent its insane. the bartender is ignorant and her security are all stupid assholes. i got "randomly searched" at the door because the didnt like the way i looked. Seriously?? who the fuck are you TSA? FBI? nope just some poor ass excuses for human beings. they checked my bag ,my pockets, patted me down...everything. and were letting others walk freely in and out with no hassles. they have no right to do such a thing. im not done with this place. full on lawsuit is coming. i hope Sammy has a back up plan cause i am gonna take this place down. read more

I've never had a problem here, I go there every week. Not your typical spot for live music, it's unlike any other bar you'd ever go to on the east coast. Great place to catch a live rock band or metal show. There's live hip hop on Wednesday nights and a fight never breaks out. Rock shows on Fridays with either a line up of good local rock or metal bands. Although during live performances there is a cover charge. This bar has come a long way from what I've heard, and what I've seen is nothing but a good time. Go here if you want to be treated like dirt and called rude names by the management, staff, promoter, whoever they are. Does "scumbag" = "sorry man, can't do that"? Apparently being polite is not one of their core business values. Doesn't take credit cards, had a broken ATM. (Got accosted every two feet when I stepped outside to look for an ATM. Ladies, don't go alone!) Appeared to be full of "underage looking" or "barely legal ho's" (they were friends with the band or staff, however I got carded hard) and don't forget the "over the hill perverts", and "intimidating bikers". One of the staff came out and entered someone's vehicle. At this time the Sammys staff and an assaliant robbed a man and a woman. Then they took his and her license and wrote down their information. This was an apparent drug deal gone wrong. The problem is the staff member and assaliant mentioned that if this was reported to police the persons in car would be visited by members of a local motorcycle club and there would be trouble. Being a member of that club I know we had and have NO intentions of what was said. read more

Best venue/ bar in the area hands down! regardless of being a patron, random drinker, or musician your sure to find a welcoming party at Sammys. I have personally played there and will vouch for the laid-back attitude of Dante and how smooth and easy he makes the shows. The drinks are cheap and the bartenders were all wicked friendly and Ksenia was a an awesome ambassador for the entire Sammys crew. I strongly recommend checking out a show here or just dropping in for a cold beer and a phenomenal atmosphere!!! read more

Great music venue. Metal shows on Saturdays and some Fridays. No actual stage, which makes it easier for bands to interact with the crowd. And I think it's cool that you can be right in front of the band..Sound is great as well! Another awesome thing about this venue, is the Patio! You can go out to smoke with your drink. It's really close to Revere Beach train Station, there's plenty of street parking (in the front and in the back). read more

Ive been goin too sammys a whole lot the past six months and im never disappointed. The bands are great there good people just trying too get the I music heard. Ive met so many people cause of sammys and killer robot promotions its like waking up too a new world...the sets are hiurs long and the price too get in is never more then 15$ at the most and that's if you go too the door..deff look forward too more shows read more

I've played here a few times & I've always had a great time. They have good people running the place. I love the location too. Theres nothing better than going for a swim across the street at the beach, then coming inside for a beer, bite to eat, & playing a show. read more
