I'm visit this area from time to time for work and a colleague recommended this place. I was blown away by the absolute amazing customer service and care. The kindness of every single staff member was truly something. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Murray's Tavern feels like home. Like a place everyone belongs and it's so familiar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's truly like "Cheers!", a neighborhood bar "where everybody knows your name". [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor seating area is lovely and perfect for late summer get togethers or early brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the food is DIVINE! When I'm in town for work, this will be my go to stop from now. Keep up the amazing work.

Shrimp Scampi

I came in while passing thru the area. I saw it had high ratings and decided to give it a try. I am glad I did! I had the mussels to start then Shrimp scampi. They were both excellent! The service was second to none. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice atmosphere to bring someone special and enjoy together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can tell that the people who make this place what it is really cares.

Yes! If you haven't been, you should check it out. The staff were welcoming and our waitress was kind and very helpful with our choices. We met John Murray, one of the owners. He was friendly and continued to check on the patrons. My husband found a YouTube video about this restaurant and that helped make our decision as to where to have dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean, cozy, and warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started off with the chicken parm egg roll. We saw this in the video and we were intrigued. My hubby is not a huge pesto fan but really liked it on the chicken parm egg roll. The egg roll wrapper was fried to perfection and the chicken was moist and flavorful. For dinner we had split the pretzel crusted chicken schnitzel. That was tasty and I never thought of making schnitzel with chicken. I will have to try to make it at home. AND!!! For dessert...you must try the Screwball waffles. Dear lord! Get in my belly!!!! Murray's Tavern is ready for St. Patrick's. Helpful advice, please order proper pint glasses for the poured Guinness. It helps make this Irish draught tasty. Sláinte!

Fantastic corner bar, the staff was amazingly welcoming and quick at the bar. Had a beer and a up of chowder and a burger - added the bacon & egg. Delicious. Great beer selection on tap and they had a pistachio martini that everyone else was ordering. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cool vibe inside, welcoming and warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend!

Dessert

Everything was absolutely delicious, very attentive service. Bartender gave amazing service, owner came by and chatted with us and made sure we were happy. This is a MUST Go To SPOT. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outdoor and indoor seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Was staying in Revere for a few nights, and found this lovely tavern. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is incredible and the food and drinks were delicious![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had dinner there 2 nights, and loved both meals. It's a great neighborhood restaurant. Highly recommend!

Ate at the bar after a long day of travel and as a great experience. Food was good but our bartender was even better. He made for a pleasant evening and had incredible recommendations for two people who were too tired to make dining decisions. This is a hidden gem - I hope that's not the case for long.

Murray's Tavern is located at 118 Broadway in Revere, MA, just a short distance from Revere City Hall, the famous Luberto's Pastry, and towards the Chelsea borderline. There is plenty of street parking on both sides of the street when we went on a Friday evening and also plenty of outdoor seatings available. I recommend sitting toward the left side of the restaurant away from Broadway which is a little more private. My husband and I were meeting with a coworker after work for appetizers and drinks. We ordered the mussels appetizer, Vietnamese flavored wings, the Spanish octopus, and the grilled chicken avocado flatbread to share amongst the group. I was impressed by the flavor of the Vietnamese flavored chicken wing as I am Vietnamese myself. The peanut crust was more a dusting of crushed peanuts though. The mussels was probably my favorite appetizer. There was an abundance of mussels and bread to dip into the sauce. My husband enjoyed the Spanish octopus, I prefer a grilled version. The flatbread was tasty and there was plenty of leftovers too. From the cocktails menu, our waitress recommended I try the Passionista, which was sour and sweet, probably more on the sweet side. There was plenty of beer selections IPA for spouse and coworker. Overall, excellent service and food. I have yet to dine inside or try their entrees but will surely be back. I must say, Murray's Tavern is great additional to Broadway.

First visit, Monday 4/20/26…read more Visiting Boston on a work trip, I had no idea the Marathon was today! Met 4 colleagues at The Red Fox for dinner, a recommendation from a friend of my colleague. Tough to find initially and very unsuspecting upon arrival. As you enter the front door (think like walking into a foyer of a small apartment building) you go down a flight of stairs into the restaurant. Then wow, this place is awesome! Small entry way into the restaurant with a hostess immediately greeting you. The bar is your first view of the place and it was packed. I'd describe it as dimly light, great atmosphere and ambience, almost a speakeasy feel. I'd recommend a reservation. The hostess walked us to our table, walking along the bar line with small 2-4 top tables to our left, we then turned left into the main dining room. 5 of us and we were seated at a horseshoe style table, plenty of room for up to 6 adults. Service was instant, she was friendly and very knowledgeable. We ordered cocktails and a couple apps. The drinks arrived along with bread service. They added small side plates with oils and olives, a nice touch. The cocktails were fantastic as was the homemade bread. A unique twist with my cocktail (kettle one & soda), was the single ice cube that was a long rectangle cube that was so clear you couldn't see it! The cubes length was the same as the tall glass it was served in and didn't melt. For dinner I listened to our server who recommended the Chicken Parmigiana with a chefs twist using a vodka infused sauce, this dish was amazing! My colleagues all shared the same feelings that this meal was spectacular. Highly recommend The Red Fox!

From start to finish, we had an amazing experience here. We ate here on Sunday. They open at 11:30am. We got in line around 11:00 am, and there were already dozens of people waiting in line for them to open . Around opening time, the owner came out and personally greeted everyone as they came into the restaurant. He was so friendly. He greeted passers-by on the street and talked with the locals. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions. They provided recommendations and offered suggestions. We sat at a window table and were able to see out at the boats. It was cute and quaint inside! I got a cup of the clam chowder. I 100% recommend it! They add dill and omit the pork, which made it so delicious! My friend and I split the fish and chips, and it was more than enough for two people. The fish was cooked perfectly and the fries (chips) were crispy without being too crunchy. We added a bit of pepper to our fish, and my goodness does that make a difference. If you visit Boston, want an awesome local establishment with delicious food and overly friendly staff, this is the place for you. This was my third visit to Boston and I'm so sad I didn't know about it sooner. It's a MUST.

The clam chowder was tasty but the Cajun Popcorn Shrimp was just average. Lobster was well prepared but halibut was slightly overcooked and mashed potatoes were bland. You have to enter the building with a small fox picture, go down a set of stairs and check in at the counter of said restaurant before they lead you into the back where the speakeasy is. The menu is "set" in that they have a particular cuisine focus for the night and the four food dishes are predetermined as well as the first drink. That being said, you get to order three more drinks from their cocktail menu that range from lighter to more spirit forward, ending with more dessert type cocktails. All the drink flavors were so unique and a fun twist. The food was actually very substantial. Good flavors as well. Our favorite dishes were the lamb cigars (large egg roll shape with eggplant and spices) and the whole branzino. Everything was good though. Service was a very friendly and they were open about the fact that if you didn't like a drink they'd make you another one.
